Pls House help..I got admission for Fall 2015, Niagara but the school say I need to pay some part of the fees before they can guaranty me a seat in the program. They sent me just letter of acceptance. I want to know if it's safe to apply for Visa with just the acceptance letter without fees paid. Will it dent my chances of getting Visa if I don't pay the fees at all..the school says deadline for part payment is May30th
if the condition stated in your offer of admission required you make some part payment. it will be in your best interest to comply, that will also boost your chances

Thanks
D journey took roughly 18hrs plus....travel with any foodstuffs u think will need specially those african's stuff u won't find here... Be mindful of d allowed kilogram(kg) thou mine exceeded with 1kg...they ( nigeran officer) allowed everyfin I moved with..I didn't have an issue with'em thou they demanded that I should drop for'em but I trickishly evaded them...I didn't spend penny...u need to be smart with them

Hey everyone just boarded yesterday n finally arrived canada today. My journey was full of fun, excitement,n inspirational. Ethiopia airline treated me like a king, all kinds of meals, drinks, fruits were served not even once or thrice. Infact mai experience with'em was awesome. I was opportune to sit with one of d nigerian-canadian lecturer @ seneca college toronto it was really educative n informative having him as my sit partner.

@toronto airport..its cozy n neat with many a kitted uniform men. It was fabulous meeting a canadian border service agent. She was really cool, amiable with her friendly looking disposition. Am loving dis people. They're all willing to help infact there was this particular uniform lady the way she responded to mai question and even took me to where I was looking4 was superb. Canadians are super friendly.....I actually asked one for a direction could you believe that he almost took me to d venue while I asked d other @d airport where I would ease myself infact he didn't only gv me direction he took me to d lavatory..... I can say that they do more of solving ones problem than profounding a solution to ya pros

It was only in nigeria that d officers demanded tip from me which I stubbornly refused to succumb aside there the journey was excellent

Your too many abbreviations is confusing me, I agree with some and disagree with many, please what is pof, since u said it doesn't make sense to you, I ain't gonna talk much cause we are entitled to our opinion, but stop assuming the vos are always negative there are kind ones there, and let's not forget assets are among the checklist at least, they listed it in my checklist
proof of finance(pof)grin
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by vinnygod: 11:14pm On Aug 17, 2014
Landed properties can serve both purposes that's as a home tie as well as a prove of financial support but when to tender it depends on d nature of application; if ya daddy ain't ya sponsor for crying out loud why would u submit it to me it makes ya application more complex except when u inherited it from ya daddy with ya name on d docx that's only when it will serve as a home tie definitely not as a prove of finance coz u ain't ya sponsor thou can serve as pof if u re acting as a co-sponsor.... Alwyz make ya application flexible it doesn't matter how many documents u submit but what msg does such doux pass to VO

So you are saying the vo can think he or she will leave the land to rot but won't also think he or she wouldn't leave it to rot, like seriously cry, so the vo will only think negative and not positive,, besides will the land document come out of the screen and bite off the vo's eyes,[s] some people forge land document just to prove they have assets [/s]person come get the kind land and you are saying the vo will think what again? Please remind me grin

That you have assets maybe one or two doesn't mean you must have tons and tons and tons of millions in your account, do u know when the dad purchased that land? And do u know how situation is for him now? Let's not discourage people who have something to show because they don't have upto 10mil in their account. Do u know 3m can sponsor someone in canny here to do a year post graduate studies but he or she can't show the 3m so he will look for a sponsor with a flashy account,so will you now tell the person not to add his assets because he didn't submit his 3m statement of account, that just don't make any sense at least to me

Firstly u deserve a big hug..this is really inspiring...to the prospective applicants this epistle should stand as a moral note to u; u need to learn a lesson that Amefrica submitted these n that does't mean that u've to follow his trend as he used2 say every applicant case is different...lay ur hands to the avaliable n necessary documents then leave the rest to God to finish.

Secondly, I made some observations on this story which to me are facts thou stand to be corrected;ur uncle served as ya co sponsor that's the reason why explaining his relationship to u wassn't dat necessary.Vo might not capitalise on this for a denial since ya uncle is just a co-sponsor

Your letter of explaination has all the ingredients VO is looking out for though concisely written but I think the content is powerful enough to convince the VO.Introduction often is irrelevent after all there was no introductory part in mine yet I got trv.

Family information form is secondary in determining ya eligibility for trv. The information provided there doesn't garantee visa thou if wrongly filled might affect in the long run but definitely won't deny u visa.

There's no clause in cic that states that u must provide a death certificate for ya deceased parents so is optional,

The only mistake I can see in ya application which would have caused for denial is wherr u provided a false information about your age in the family info. This wuld've terminated ya application but God Favour was/is upon you...cheers!!! God ain't sleeping....

semuyi: please house, i am about filling my online application, i need guidance . pls mailakinwo2@yahoo.com
This is it:

STEPS TO CANADA ONLINE VISA APPLICATION

Hey there, Tired of waiting, and feeling Frustrated with the Canada visa Paper route processing time?
The solution you need is right here. Online route is all you need to get going

Follow these easy steps:

1. Visit www.cic.gc.ca to register……Click on Apply online, you’ll get a prompt asking if you have applied before……Click NO……you get the next prompt asking “What are you applying for?”......Select STUDY PERMIT………you get another prompt asking “Have you used our online questionnaire to find out if you’re eligible to apply?”……your answer here should be NO since you’re applying for the first time, but if you’ve filled the questionnaire before then you can click YES.

2. After Clicking a NO to the Eligibilty Questionnaire question in step 1 then it takes you to an info Page……Just Click START……..Now that you’re on the getting started page…..Take your time to read the instructions……And then Click NEXT……Please fill in the Questionnaire correctly as these will be used to generate a Checklist code for you to upload your documents on your myCIC account.

3. After completely filling the Eligibility Questionnaire you will hit the “Review your answer page”……Please scan through to confirm your answers to the Questionnaire…….Then Click CONTINUE…………It will take you to a page were your CHECK LIST CODE is boldly written……the one I generated for mysef now is OX2980052333(plsssss this na my own code oooo,go generate your own biko).….Please copy your CODE or save that page or print that page……Just don’t misplace your own checklist code biko…..if you do, then you will have to fill another questionnaire all over again to generate another checklist code….. Please note that the checklist code you generated has expiry date(probably 2 months) so if you plan on generating the code make sure you use it before it expires else you would have to generate another.

4. Now that you have created your check list code the real application begins……you will have to re-iterate from Step 1 by visiting www.cic.gc.ca ….Click on Apply online, you get a prompt asking if you have applied before……Click NO……you get the next prompt asking “What are you applying for?”......Select STUDY PERMIT………you get another prompt asking “Have you used our online questionnaire to find out if you’re eligible to apply?” ……at the point click YES........It then ask you “Do you have a code that looks like this: QK4350881372?”……..Click YES…….Then it takes you to “Create myCIC account page”……Click START.........Now you’re at the page……Click GCKey Login…….since you do not have a Username and password yet then click REGISTER FOR A NEW GC-KEY........After you must have registered…..It takes you to terms and conditions page….Just click I ACCEPT……….

5. After clicking accept….it ask you if you already have a client ID which is also known as UCI number…..if you had previously applied to CDHC either through paper route or other route and you were given a UCI no please click YES…..but if you are just freshly applying to the Embassy then click NO…..Then it takes you to the Mycic Enrolment were you will fill your names, DOB, Country of birth, passport number……Then click CONTINUE…..Next is to create your security question …… click CONTINUE…….Then it ask for your email…..enter your email and click CONTINUE……. you get to your main cic page were you get to click APPLY ONLINE……….It ask you for the checklist code(remember the code we created at the beginning)…..

6. Enter your checklist code……..Now it takes you to the checklist questionnaire review page……Please note that you can still modify your questionnaire on the fly if you are not satisfied with some answers you provided…..all you need to do is click on MODIFY…….When you are done reviewing the page, click CONTINUE……Then it takes you to the part where you get to upload all you scanned documents……View the picture below to see what it looks like……

7. Please always click the question(?) attached to each upload section….example:- once you click the (?) attached to “Proof of Means of Financial Support” you will get these long lists
• your bank statements for the past four months
• a bank draft in convertible currency
• pay stubs
• an employment letter
• proof of assets or business
• proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees
• tax reports, declarations or statements
• proof of a student/education loan from a financial institution
• a letter from the person or institution providing you with money
• proof of funding paid from within Canada, if you have a scholarship or are in a Canadian-funded educational program
• proof of a Canadian bank account in your name if money has been transferred to Canada

All you need to do is look for the documents you are able to provide on this list and then Copy and Paste them into a Microsoft word after scanning…..Save the document as PDF format in other to get a lower size pdf document…..if at the end you shrinked to pdf and you still have a larger size pdf, then please download a pdf compressor www.pdfcompressor.org

This is just for a section of Upload…..there are other Upload section(check the pics) were you need to also shrink documents to lower size….Please do this right and make your documents as clear as possible after shrinking.

When you are done uploading all docx......It takes you to the Review page.....Click CONTINUE.......Now you're at the payment page....Please make use of Zenith or First bank master card.....It has been tested and trusted to work on CIC platform.

Now that your application has been completed....always watch out for any message in your cic account....usually they notify you via your email of any pending message in your CIC account so always check your email regularly

Please note that these steps also apply to Visiting Visa application.....Just follow the Instructions for Visiting Lobatan!!!

take your time to study this well….Its practical so do not be scared to read all…..once you get going with it on your PC/Laptop you would see how easy its.

8months..and yes my sponsor(my folks) closing acct is tight.
You've nothing to worry about since ya sponsor's acct is tight the only thing is to demand a confirmation letter of employment frm ya employer stating when you're employed, duties perform, annual salary then mode of payment. Ya soa ain't necessary except if ya annual salary worth providing soa

Fall session is pretty round d corner...it won't be possible to meet up with fall again tho it doesn't mean you can't apply now and have ur trv within 4 weeks if all d documents are at ur reach. But I would advice u to relax ya nerve, defer ya admission to winter, gather all the necessary documents needed to avoid another delay then refire by september

ilrbell2005: Do I need to also have a large sum in my own account. Also I do not have any landed property but a lot of shares. Can I provide my shares certificates ?

Bother not landed ppty isn't compulsory,You can submit ur shares cert in place of that. Since ur sponsor is ya mum and her acct has a good history of inflow n outflow transaction with a closing balance of 7m then I fink u re gootta go but the gap btwn when u graduated till date is much and vo will definitely raise a concern.then how u can bridge this gap is for ur employer to state in the comfirmation letter of employment in their firm's letter headed paper to u that their mode of payment is by table payment I.e by hand. Then on ya own part u have to show that by providing ya soa,it musn't be a large sum as u stated except if u're acting as co sponsor which u neve sounded like1 but aleast it must be a reasonable sum for vo to concord with the claim of employment.

Sponsor's Statement of Account ( 7 M naira)
Sponsor's shares certificates

Please help me my brothers and sisters . My Offer letter from Lambton expires 8th of September .

Thank you

In addition to what Amefrican has said; you need to write a convincing SOP; this will clear the program ur going for, duration of the program, purpose of visit, the benefits of the program upon graduation. etc

If u're married u've to tell VO how ya family will survive when u leave them

Also you have to explain the gap between when you graduated and till date; for a contract job wch the mode of payment is table payment, then the firm you're working with should provide you with a letter confirming your employment as a contract staff stating when u joined them, your duties/ functions perform, mode of payment, how much u earn per annual etc.

You can as well provide SOA to show the money u have been paid, landed ppty if any ,birth cert etc.

What's your Mum's occupation if she's a civil servant she has to provide her payslip, employment letter,n any other necessary doux to proof her employment or is she a biz mum she has to provide her biz certificate, tax payment slip etc...in addition, since she's ur sponsor; she has to provide affidavit of sponsorship of support, recommendation letter/ letter of sponsorship showing ur relationship with her, no of dependants, her occupation, etc. also her Int'l passport, birth cert

This is my little contribution. Others can as well add their opinions n suggestion

Best luck

Hello huz,,,am here again with a friend's concern: he's currently stuck between two excellent opportunities; unequivocally he can describe his present condition as being in a state of dilemma. Nevertheless, here comes his story, he had HND in Chemical Engineering, then in quest for advance study and better opportunity he was prompted to apply for masters in Engineering at two different universities in canada(Ontario and New Brunswick) with his HND; obviously he was skeptical about his chances but decided to give it a shot. In order not to lay his eggs in one basket, equally he applied to technical and further education institute (TAFE) in Australia for certificate III in mining (one semester) and diploma in applied geoscience (3 semester).

For what may look like a calculated plan but miraculously, one of the universities in canada offered him admission for Masters as he was about to rejoice the second university offer came in. While trying to compare the two universities in canny with regard to tuition fees, provincial job prospect and weather condition, the Australia admission then clicked. Now he's stuck in making his choice btw canada and Australia, hence the reason for the above story.
Now to the gurus your advice is urgently needed because he's about commencing his trv application. Please I need your opinions on his behalf and I would like you guys to consider easy visa processing, job openings,PR and good life settlement in your advice. Please your advice will be highly appreciated!!!.

Honestly I dunno where to begin thou;however, I initiated this controversial question that went into a long hitted debate.this is a question some peeps pay little or no attention to when it comes to decision making for post graduation study,u must agree with me that this debate has in one way or the other affected ur ideas, believes, perceptions, decisions, interests or watever that made u choosed one over another. In any debate, everyone is a winner cuz each has his own logical, analytical, concrete, strong, and tactical reasons to present n proof.indeed,I enjoyed every aspect of dis argument,it goes to show that N'Lders are interllectual peepz. I appreciate all that contributed h(is)(er) inputs, energy, time, and ideas in making this debate an entertaining, informative and educative one. you don't to be nervous, they are people who just got thier cert and still find jobs easy, as we all know, apparently getting a job is all about competition, get those things your opponents don't have, it's simple, here are the steps to follow,
1.get into your postgraduate studies,
2.get involve in at least two volunteering groups in school that relate to your field of study.
3. get a part-time job, preferably the one that also relate with your filed of study as well..at the end of your studies you should have a good Graded cert, little working experience from the part time job, which if eventually you do well you can easily switch to a full time worker. and also a volunteering point from the school, and if you have a good personality your group members might develop a special interest on you and be willing to help you out in one way or the other after school. then you are good to go..thinking at the margin..
Dorowellspoken....thanks for the relief...there is God oo...lol

This is a very good question that requires a good and critical thinker to ask. my views and hypothesis might not fully address your concern or question, but i think they relate in some way.. from my little field work study on the cause of why some international student find it difficult to get a job in canada after several years doing both under graduate an post graduate study "Here in Canada".. I realize that most international student focus Only on their studies to get the best grades, which is however good. but i think most international student fail to put into consideration the advantages the local student have over we the international student..which are; 1.The Colour: Race and ethnicity are two culturally constructed categories, which are most time mainly defined on the basis of skin colour. 2. Work experience: 90% percent of the Canadian parents only sponsor their children to high school level, after which the children are been expected to work and train them self's for undergraduate and postgraduate which is in contrast to the pattern of so many other countries including Nigeria. This is why the citizens are most times regarded as to have more work experience over the international students by many employers. 3.Team work ability: team work is always crucial in workplaces, and it is one of the ability the citizens learn from a much earlier age in their place of work after high school.
..Now think about this advantages and see how it relates with your question. what i think with regards to undergraduate level; I think most people prefer getting a diploma from a College, which has to do with more practicals and less theory studies, and this could stand as a work experience which is one of the advantages the citizens have over you an international student. After which you can pursue a degree from a university, while studying you shouldn't just focus on studying alone but also involving in some volunteering school group, earn volunteering points, which could stand as your Team work ability another advantage the local student have over you. primarily what employers look for when hiring new employees are: 1.Certificate, 2.Work experience, 3.Team work ability, others are secondary..i wish i can elaborate more on this but unfortunately i have to stop here, it's left for you the thinker to think further.. My view on this issue is open for all, other views are welcomed, both for and against..
This is well articulated dish out response thou makes me feel nervous. Am beginning to have a second thought hmmmm....what's the fate of peepz who have taken the post graduate university path...re u implying its less likely to get'em employment upon graduation......
