Romance › Re: Ladies, 5 Habits You Must Stop If You're Ready To Settle Down For Marriage by Vinshu(f): 5:54pm On Oct 06, 2015 |
SUGARBEE: Most ladies when ripe for marriage unknowingly put off their suitors away by displaying some bad habits subconsciously making them feel later on that the reason they couldn't get married is as a result of the witches following her from the village when in truth, the problem lies with her. Let's see how we can get rid of those habits.
1) Stop Being A Flirt: This not only sends a guy away from you but also sends signals that you can't be a faithful wife if indeed you both get married. Most guys can't differentiate when you're just being nice around persons of the opposite sex and when you're actually a Flirt. Stop making him feel insecure and start making him feel secured.
2) Cutoff Links To Potential "Bad" Friends: Just like the saying, "Show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are". Changing of your so called "Am happy for you friends" goes a long way in securing your relationship. Sometimes the problem isn't with the lady nor her spouse but with their friends. Sit down and have a good reassessment of the friends you keep. You don't want to have a snitch as a friend, do you?
3) Stop being extravagant with money: Being rich and acting to be rich are two different things. Spending money too much and being extravagant is a big No No for most guys. It shows you don't have any idea on money saving and can't soak garri with your man when the finances are down(Am telling you, most men actually think about that)
4) Stop The Pride Show When You're Around His Parents; Like seriously, you can't help out your mother in-law to be in the kitchen, nor help pack the dishes in after eating and you expect her to give her blessings to marry her son?. Don't be a joker. It wouldn't take you anything to be humble af when you're around his parents. The easiest way to win a man's heart is to win that of his parents first.
5) It's An Abomination To A Man To Say You Can't Cook: Like WTF?? Don't tell me if we get to that bridge we'll cross it, hell no! Don't deceive yourself, like they say "Love fades but hunger doesn't". You know you can't cook? A part time catering school would do you great good.

Strahovski: Now I notice Vinshu, she seems adamant on this feminism and from my diagnosis, she has been a feminists from her childhood for one reason left unknown to others. She appears successful, comfortable and rich and can do away with anybody at anytime (male or female, husband or brother) that is what keeps the feminism going for her even in her marriage. For a lady to say she is not under her husband you know she is not just lady.
Even God himself put a man first before he put the woman. Please understand that. -1 Neither success nor worth nor status drives the feminism in me. God created a man first does not mean anything. |

dicefrost: Lemme ask a hypothetical question. Suppose you live in an unsafe neighbourhood with a pair of twins, a boy and a girl, both 20 years old. If you need something urgently at about 8pm in the night, and you need to send someone out, who would it be, the boy or the girl? In terms of security, what would inform your choice? I would send the guy. That is what you want me to say right? |

lezz: Very convenient for you not to answer.
There's nothing like equality in marriage and stop calling God. God is a God of hierarchy and in authority he places the female below the male. No male is above me! I don't know about other females. But no male is above me. Not today not ever. |

BUTCHCASSIDY: Small small we will get to the root of your problem madam First oga is not rich Now he doesnt exactly take care of your needs
Or Perhaps you are one of those ladies who will shout feminism outside their homes Then at home they are the perfect submissive wives If you are I pity your followers Marriage is another world on its own. And what matters is happiness. What happens in your marriage might differ from mine as long as I and my partner are happy. That is what matters. You don't expect me to say my husband is rich or is not rich on a public forum. That would be rude and immature on my part. I won't display his worth neither would I break it down for you whether or not he takes care or not. But the point is, there are feminists out there who are married and their relationship is perfectly fine. That is my point. Forget my husband's pocket. P.s: He is a nairalander |

BUTCHCASSIDY: Have u seen? A Feminist that is in a loving relationship with her husband and the husband takes care of all her needs Well, I am a feminist and I am in a loving relationship with my HUSBAND! (I'm married) . Though he does not take care of ALL MY NEEDS because we are both working and we are helping each other and take care of each other's needs. |

I agree with the OP to an extent.
I am a feminist. A true feminist. I laugh at ladies who claim to be feminists when they do not know what it means. Most ladies think feminism is a hate for men or an anti-male thing or an excuse to be a lesbian but it is about equal rights.
We do not hate men neither are we anti-male, we want equal rights, equal respect anywhere we go. We should not be regarded as "properties" or "tools" in the sight of males. We should be equal to an extent even in marriages. Also equality in business, politics and other aspects of life.
Not only in Mexico, even in Lithuania and Cyprus, a female can accuse a man staring at her for more than 10 seconds for assault and/or sexual harassment. It's the law. In these places you rarely hear stories of rape, husbands beating wives.. etc. Because they are punishable offences. This is what we want worldwide not in one country or one state.
But i do not see this being accomplished anytime soon in parts of the world such as Africa where women are seen as subjects or props in the sight of men and these women are comfortable with it. Then I do not see equality on its way. |

Op all your points are wrong!
It only applies when the love is not true and it's only concerned with returned profit. If the love is true on both sides. A lady won't have any issue irrespective of how broke her partner is. Instead she would strive with him until both are successful. |

A thread like this makes me sick.
P.s your friend is a fool. Tell him to move on with his life. And tell him to discontinue the education of the girl. After all he has paid for a year. What about the years left? If he stops, she comes back.
And how in Hell would she leave him? The person sponsoring her education? Nairaland is something else. Stories that were cooked but not cooked well or got burnt on the fire.
Thank You. |
