Partner let me let you in a secret this port was constructed to enable China to offload military hardware into Nigeria in the event there are any disruptions to their oil import. Google Strait of Malaga then you will understand. if ever war starts in the south china sea the first thing the seven fleets will do is blockage of the strait of Malaga. After that clock starts ticking on Chain (50 days) they will be out of oil. Start looking at the big picture people. China investing their money is not because they like Nigeria. The USA is doing the same thing in Liberia. Liberia was founded by the USA

I am really impressed by your knowledge on this issues, most Nigerians don't know what is happening. May God help us all, because if they have to scatter Africa during this new resources rush, before it becomes a world power direct conflict, they will do it.

Even the leaders of Nigeria are nice to this things.

Guy, you easily deceived by our leaders. This project, probably cost 300 mill dollars, and that is even because the contractors know that Nigeria don't have reputation for experts. Even at that, say 500 million dollars max, including all manners of mark up for the project. The leaders and their corrupt associates, marked it up some more, and added another 1 billion dollars to it, and don't want to be questioned. on top borrowed money wey all Nigerians go pay for in the future.

if all the super eagles show up on the pitch, we expect them to play professional ball against any opponent; we analyze their play, etc same as students going to school, we expect them to be learning what they are being taught; we just don't give them a 100% for showing up, even though showing up is part of the overall effort and goal.

Politics › Re: President Buhari Arrives In Lagos To Commission Lekki Seaport (Video) by viodemus: 5:59pm On Jan 23, 2023
He borrowed excessive money to build the project, and delivered an inefficient result. Just 2 ship berth. But we have to praise him for the scam they pulled and the future payments we owe.

We have to start hiring leaders that can understand how to delegate projects, how the projects can have maximum efficiency, and not compromise on quality. We don't want a leader that they can run game on due to complete ignorance.

How many people dey build bore hole or swimming pool for 10 billion naira. I think it is similar to the stunt they just pulled at lekki.

Release all the information on the project, afterall, it is not a military project that is secretive in manner.
Politics › Re: Ownership Structure Of The Lekki Deep Sea Port by viodemus: 5:51pm On Jan 23, 2023
I am on the fence about praising this project.

I am happy for any project that pushes Nigeria to greater heights.

Disclaimer:
I haven't commented on this issue because I didn't have the specifications, and this information shed some light but not enough light on the project. This is not a military site, where structural and engineering information are ambiguous by information design.
I will be criticizing this project based on the general information that has been provided. I have no researched information to the specific of this project. I only ship my containers for import or export to the ports, and go clear them through the unprofessional staffs that many people experience at the ports.

Anyways, 1st off, this was a very expensive project by a long mile. For 600meter and just two shipping berth, this is too expensive at the $1.5 billion price tag. The port at long beach california, was expanded, over 10 shipping berth added, with the labor fees for the American workers - that covers health care, paid time off, injuries, nstural emergency situations, etc. It was less than $250 million. This long beach port, had seismic designs features included to the project, all manners of fire containment and protection, etc. Overall, the price of construction for the whole port, if built today, might be a little over $3 billion. Remember, this is the busiest port in the USA. Over 65% of import and export go through this port. If anyone, has been there, you will know what am talking about.

Now, we have this Lekki port, that is 2 ship berth, for $1.5 billion. There are no engineering specifics like telling us what features might have been added during construction to make it that expensive. So, they borrowed money ( please ignore where they said china and foreigners have a small percentage, let them post the original document of agreement. They borrowed huge money to build a hut. This is a hut when compared to serious ports. also know that, it is not only about the ships, they also have to have features that will make inspections, container handling, and container releasing to be seamless. That might have been included or not included in the deal.

Long story short, we were duped. Korokoro duping. It is not different from when house of reps, charge the treasury excessive amount for their toiletries, feeding, and accommodation. This project is a scam, and I wish more details are released for transparency reasons. When someone in a race, take one step and stop, that is not progress, that is effort but not a good enough effort. We were duped, from what I am seeing from the already released information.

We need to have the project information released, including materials fees approximates, labor approximates, machines used, a more detailed scope of the project, etc It is good to know these things for posterity, and it can also help future construction engineers learn in many ways, including knowing that many in Nigeria might criticize the project due to information. If it were a military project, they will hide their firewall specifications, the scope of the project, and other vital information. As this is, now, this is not a military thing, so they should release more information on specifics, because I honestly doubt the amount of this project. Also, it will let our leaders know that we are not aloof and ignorant about how Nigerian borrowed money are spent. It will let the next administration know that they can't just tell us anything and it will fly.

I go to all these countries, I say to myself, wetin be this? food yafu yafu like say na sky. Food everywhere. Dem fit no get money, but food plenty.

God please remember Nigeria, that whole food suppose be 20 naira, and you and your friends fit chop am enter the next day evening. We are a very rich country. There is a mineral resources rush going on in Nigeria and Africa.
The new resources being found, with simple knowledge, can change the way we know things. Just like how someone from 1910, will be wow wow-ing about the cell phone and internet, and even all the cars, and space adventures. New technologies are getting more possible because of the continuous findings of mineral resources in africa, and to be fair, outside some parts of Africa, but African findings has them in quantities that it could be mass produced. Back in the day, all these other continents used to look at gold as all and all, when they started discovering it in africa, it became useless to use as sole currency, because Africa will have so much more, it will not make sense. Same for oil, rubber, diamond, cobalt, copper, vibranium, and other kinds of niums, etc

I say all that to say, with general make sense discipline as a society, food should not be an african people problem, same for health, and other living essentials. We are very rich, the armed robbers are in the house, they already checked and saw you were sleeping on the bare floor just inside your gate, they have one person watching you, while they load continuous trucks of goods away; - they don't want to kpai you, but they don't mind to let you live, because you are thought to be having mental issues that is close to adolescence behavior; so the thing is, how do you respond to the robbery and you knowing that you are smarter than that. You are on that floor, hearing all the communication noise while they think you are asleep on that floor.

i don't mean to derail your thread op, you are resourceful in your cooking skills. Am just speaking to a larger issue.

They don't understand what they were looking out for, they don't understand the acoustic characteristics, they didn't learn to follow up management on their critical infrastructure; they let their plants deteriorate to this point. Just like other African countries, they lacked general foresight on running a country; they instead focused o xenophobia.

Him suppose tell them make them produce the video. And make she go neutral gynecologist wey go fit prove force ( some countries and states - even in Brazil and America allow that as evidence), some countries and states in some countries in brazil and America don't allow the gynecologist proof because they think it humiliates the lady and might discourage her from pursuing the case - which I agree with sometimes; regardless, he should suggest a third party investigation with a less controversial organization

This is why, when you go to a celebrity party in America and some other countries, you will sign waiver at the entrance, it will be written at the entrance, that everyone going in must sign in, if you didn't sign in and jumped in, you can be charged for trespassing, and also your case - in cases of injury, or whatever, will not be taken up like that, which can open you to counter charges. Some celebrities or even business organizations do a non disclosure signings for deals, employment, parties, weddings, etc

He can also counter sue, or could have sued before her if he was petty; he has those options. Is just that most guys think it is demeaning to sue a girl that is trying to aggressively seduce you, especially when she is doing so with some form of body contact.

If he did whatever she said and it was that horrific, then, shame on him.

I believe, their borrowing is more than 1.5 million naira per person; when this administration give you number like this, you multiply by 4 or more, because na the quarter info dem throw come.

Also remember that in 150 million people, some are old and some are very young to work and make an impact, so from 18 to 68 are supposed to pay the money. China will soon start seizing mineral resources and maybe export all Nigerians, for their citizens to adjust to their new country.

Time dun reach to dey arrest kids from 12years old. Not your regular arrest, but special arrest. A kid from 12 to 16, if you draw blood for person body, dem go carry you go for 1 month, your parents go sign say if you sick or die during arrest or your stay under arrest, say dem no fit sue the gov, but any major sickness or death go require automatic investigation.
After 16, you go face regular court and get regular general punishment.

As for those kids, say na 12, dem go arrest am with other 12 years old, and if he lie for him age, the punishment go restart. So, if a 12 years old does something like this, dem go arrest the boy, do forensics, and use that evidence for juvenile court; his/her parents or caretaker go come court, they will be shown evidence like everyone in court and for record keeping, then they will be given the opportunity to sign the paper of sickness/death liability, na this time you go get chance to tell them about any known sickness, if down the line, dem find out say your pikin no get that sickness, you go get like 2 years jail time. Anyway, after you sign the papers after judgement, dem go send am to prison with other 12years old. Everyday, den go wake up at 6 am, dem go dress their bed, dem go get 30 mins to brush teeth, shower, and put on their clothes, and stand by their lockers, then another 20 mins to eat and take the paper plate to the trash - and their trays to the sink,; after that, everybody will go to their assignment post, whether na cutting grass, or cleaning the road around the prison with chains on their legs, or washing dishes, or everybody uniform, or even going to clean around any primary or secondary schools. etc. Them go feed them 3 times a day,

For 12 years old --- every 1st punishment of this magnitude without resulting in death suppose be 1 month punishment, with daily letter or audio message or email from the detention facility, of am sorry. For 2nd crime in the same age, na 5 weeks with more duties.

For 13 years old -'--- 1st punishment na 5 weeks, then appropriate punishment

For 14, ----6 weeks

For 15 -----7 weeks

for 16 ------- 8 weeks

We as a society also need to start at the elementary level, teaching students about civil obedience. You cannot disrespect an elder (anyone over 60 for any reason except life threatening or proof of mental illness on both parties or any party), we are talking even verbal disrespect. this is also for any teacher in any school in Nigeria, so it should be effective on any school premises. If younger than 60, then punishment will start when it can be proven you draw blood or disfigure someone.

We need to start instilling this kinds of ideas and consequences, from primary 3, so make it a mandatory one of the 1st day of class subjects, tell them the idea and consequences and shoe them videos of current convicts doing work.

We have to find a way, because Nigeria has already gone to the dogs, but it is now becoming a kernel.

Holidays are for important dates or events. Getting of PVC is not an important date but a responsible process. And you can still run a get pvc campaign ads around the state.
