We are a confused country.

Nothing is principled except stealing of national treasure. The only time Nigerian leaders work like professionals is when they are cooperating to steal the country's wealth.

God please don't mix me with continuous idi*ts like this in my next life.
Properties › Re: Kindly Help Me Critique This four Bedroom Bungalow Plan by viodemus: 5:29pm On Feb 17, 2023
It looks nice. Something manageable.

Someone pointed out the ventilation aspect, which was my main concern. My other concerns in a building are normally fire hazard potential, plumbing, electrical, roofing, load capacity, and the aesthetics. With floor load capacity, the foundation, and exterior walls, - outside of design and planning, the craftmanship of the job plays a huge role; - the right mixing of cement and block making, the patience involved before adding load on it, the lasting type of screed, and the right technique for a long term water resistant paint.

- these factors matter, if not, within a short time of the life of the building, cracks go begin appear at weird places, the building surrounding go dey hold water puddles, and depending on type of element the building experiences, the issues may become pronounced. Something as simple as a clean roof gutter and drain to about 6 ft away from the house, go help your house in the long run. Not only can you do rain water control, you can also save your house from those green algae that you see around the exterior home. It can cause respiratory illnesses.

Na just say electricity dey hold Nigeria back to ancient times. If not, you for put forced exhaust fan for your kitchen to outside facing up, to about 8feet away from any windows; and also plan for how to drain the condensation. You for also put central a/c system - they are good for reintroducing fresh air to the system to be filtered and conditioned, for interior circulation. The kind of a/c we mostly use in Nigeria na recirculation system - they recirculate and recondition the air in the house, the only source of fresh air dilution are through cracks, windows, and doors. In America and many developed nations, na law say every house must have a minimum of 10 to15% outside air at all times, going into the system for filtration and conditioning. It is not the most efficient system, because that a/c has to condition the new outside air and mix it with the recirculated air to be filtered and conditioned. It is not efficient, but it is very healthy.

In Nigeria, ventilation is overlooked, but in a home, there is a lot of off gassing, like when you clean your stuff with chemicals, or like in a new building where most things are new, the smell of new things like furniture, carpet, and even the paint, takes months to completely off gas. That's when you start feeling sick, having sick building syndrome, etc. With Nigeria, there is a generator aspect too.

Anyways, Nice building, please update us as the building progresses, so that many interested parties can help you stay on guard.

God go continue to bless you, so that when you dey build the next one, you go include a bad ass underground system. If I over sleep and my electronic algorithmic security system detect danger, my whole bed will go down to my ventilated underground system. The whole yard na underground, it can gently swallow four cars, or depending where anybody stand, the ground fit open wide swallow them. I normally just have to watch out for loved ones and my dogs. Talking about dogs, I learn the best way to efficiently use dogs, na to put am inside house - only you might have to wake up in the night to take am outside for toilet break. For me, I get four dogs, two outside, one in the hall way, one in my room except say babe dey then I go put am for hallway. The notification is fast.

@op, my apologies for almost derailing the thread. Good luck.

They can lie no be small.

If a chicken or bird feather enters the Chinese space it will be shot down. They don't play that. The one known surveillance that spies on china is satellites, and then human intelligence, plus coastal intelligence.

China, stop lying to justify your childish actions. It is until floating balloons start disrupting flights and commerce in china and world wide, that's when the chinese will call for maturity.

if this other balloon is from china, they haven't determined that yet. It could be from Russia, iran, north Korea, and other dictatorial leadership.

I think china is sending a message to America that they will use low tech ways to fight against democracy. They can flood the skies with armed balloons, etc. But as usual, their foresight is skewed, America tested balloon strategies in the 50s, hypersonic weapons in the late 50a and 60s.

Let us see how china will react after multiple balloons infiltrate their airspace. As we all see, na dem start am.

Politics › Re: Lot Of People Migrated From The SE Just To Vote In Lagos - Lagos INEC REC. by viodemus: 4:10pm On Feb 10, 2023
That is why you need to have laws in place. Is okay to migrate, but you can only vote for lg after 6 months as a Nigerian with a verifiable address, and 1 year for state as a Nigerian with a verifiable address.

For foreigner or immigrant, that are not Nigerians, you can create a time span for them to vote, after they have lived in that state for that time period.

Overall, it is one person one vote. If you vote somewhere, you cannot vote at another place. You must forfeit one state if you live in more than one state.

We need to start having visionary leaders. People that account for many variables.
This was suppose to be a NASs issue, they should have had a foresight on this kinds of things. A very useless and greedy bunch, they only think about money, but have no foresight.

Interesting.

Could it be that oga Peter has been plotting leadership position either through number 1 or 2 since then.
Maybe, he has been scheming to get into the top post to change things for better, so he played the other politicians covert.

Datti, soon to be oga Datti, should play good politics and assist oga peter to help make a difference.; because in 8 years, there will be outstanding people from ministers, to state leadership, and even outstanding civilians; Overall, Datti needs to watch out for oga Sanwo. oga Sanwo dey play covert. oga Sanwo, will get off under the control of oga Tinubu after this election and try to make an outstanding legacy that Lagos will always remember, when he is done being a governor. Some people with spirit vision knows his next step.
He will chill for some years and get back to private business, but with a plan to become the nation's number 1. From the spiritual calculation, he will be really ripe in 8years, when Datti will be really ripe too. So clash go dey. So Datti, will have to plan for all contingencies, and over do him in performance, but still support and share the success of Lagos. The game is on.

For now, I support obidatti.

Be true Patriots, and just mean well for Naija. Is not too much to ask for.

This is why Nigeria needs to sit up and tow the right but intelligent paths.

Nigeria influences Africans and even blacks worldwide.

It is a shame that we don't know how to unite for greatness, and then unite Africa, at least many.

just go around Africa, anything nigerians do ( good or bad), the rest go copy. I dun see where some black guys dey argue with indians for kenya, talk say kenya fit no be india mate for anything, but e no get anyway wey india take pass Nigeria; the guys argue the Indian guys and girls down, cun even reach where one of them throw drink for one of the Indian guy face because the indian guy dey argue say Nigeria too corrupt to be in the conversation of greatness. Nobody fit stop the escalation. Me and a partner been sit down near both arguing tables, when the splash reach us, some people cun dey try encourage dem to dai am, shirt fun dey comot, even the indians dun provoke, na so I hold one of the guy dey tell am make he relax, the guy dey try explain to me say the guys get mind insult Nigeria, as per I suppose begin ginger. As tempers still dey flare to almost more escalation, I like almost carry one of guy go outside to calm an down, na I'm I tell the guy say I appreciate how he stand for Nigeria, say I for act different because na that guy opinion, but say i learn a thing or two from am as a Nigerian. As I talk as a Nigerian, the guy just give a big wide smile, high me, shake me, begin put him cloth on, cun dey holla make the rest of the guys fun see original Nigerian this and that. For my mind, I wan begin order them anything them want, but before I go pee finish, come back to siddon make I call waiter to take everybody order, na him the waiter dey tell me say dem say anything wey I want make I take. By this time, all the warring parties dey try tell police wey respond to disturbances say dem dun settle. Las las dem come back in, all the Kenya's from that table come the table I dey, nothing wey dem no talk about Nigeria, mostly in a good way, dem still tell me say we dey thief well well, but they cannot tolerate any body wey wan bash the giant of Africa. This was almost 7 years ago, I just dey listen to them. It was surreal to me. From around 9pm, we dey that restaurant and bar reach almost 4am. I still be friends with some of them, they were one of the pillars of me learning swahili one of them been kpai some years ago. May God bless his soul.

The rest of Africa thinks Nigerians are the smartest people in the world, even over any developed country. Anything we focus on, na im the rest of Africa go focus on. Nollywood juju, music, education, and even Election, now many Africans dey look for their oga Obi/datti replicas.

I will always respect public servants, but not over 98% of the nigerian kinds. Many of them are dishonest, they sabotage the country in many ways due to greed; and many of them cannot be called Patriots at all.
Regular citizens should know their worth, and know that public office is not a get rich scheme, but a dignified post that many lives are affected by.

In future, if Nigeria dun sanitize small, many people that are honest, and creativity,
can forfeit their personal lives to go and help the general country. Right now na greedy, selfish, and unpatriotic people full am. We see it everyday. We have work to do on all fronts in Nigeria.

Nigeria is still in stage 1 or 2 of okay level, not even greatness.
Politics › Re: Soludo Applauds Ifeanyi Ubah For Purchasing Security Gadgets For Anambra South by viodemus: 7:58pm On Feb 07, 2023
Good intent but very elementary, for even a mediocre force.

My home security uses more advanced systems than those secondary school gadgets.

I want to know how much Ifeanyi uba charged the treasury to buy and import those small pikin toys. Pay ekelebes, train them in tactical response, train them to respect lives and properties, train them on how to de escalate situations while still being on high alert, increase the technology of cameras, and better radios.

These toy radios don't need a sophisticated criminal (s) to bypass. A nobody that came back from a developed country can bypass this toy. They don't even have to be electronic engineers or technicians. Let me tell you about this toy, if someone has a radio or phone that has AM stations, you can just slowly scan it like you are looking for a radio station, and wahla - you can intercept any two or more people communicating, it can be done in 3 or more minutes; for someone that is really good with electronics, this can be intercepted in less than 30secs with a little calculation and a rigged interceptor.

We are still a very back ward and archaic like country. America used this type of radios in the early 1900s. We are just too used to mediocrity. So, how much did this projects cost. I suppose they are trying to do somethings for the communities, which is good on their behalf, but don't take all Nigerians for olodos. This is not going to tilt crime, and am sure the treasury was charged handsomely for this weak initiative.

Nigeria has satellites, or are they docile up there? or they could have done encrypted button signaling and then keep one above mediocre line of communication, either with cell phone or more secure two way; that way if a unit is in danger, they can click one button that can alert their colleagues in the area, and if trained properly, one of those people in danger can call to alert the department, then they can coordinate a rapid but safe response.

it is more to this strategy, and can get complex, but very attainable.

As for oga Soludo, the guy is just clueless and not creative about anything. The spirit of the darkness he forced Nigerians to bear, is be-clouding hos judgment. I pray for the success of Anambra.
Politics › Re: Fani-Kayode: Dog Emefiele, Witch Najaatu, Prepare For Battle, I Will Bury You by viodemus: 7:09pm On Feb 07, 2023
This former treasury criminal is a bonafide dunce.

He is so jittery about this policy. I mean it is policy that the implementers didn't think through and minimize uncertainty, just like any major project in Nigeria. Overall, the intent is good, but due to planlessness, the implementation is skewed.

Emefele should use this opportunity to sacrifice for the good of Nigeria. He should be loyal to Nigeria and expose the other criminals like him. That way, his case will be forgiven, and he will be forever remembered for standing for Nigeria.

Emefele, can do all these, by firstly, exposing FFK to the public. Expose all the accounts that he uses to divert money to and from his maga accounts. FFK was minister for sometime, during that period, the aviation sector went down seriously, he rubbished the infrastructure and the people that worked there; there were no training, no improvements, nothing nothing. Word on the street was that he went around writing fake letterhead for 419 purposes, it is said he would propose public and private partnerships for an elephant project, then he will write to various businesses, set the meetings up, take money from them as per project proposal fees, then after much much he will deny them. The guy is a Nigeria destroyer. Emefele should expose the born f**l. He didn't make his money legally. His father's money was a stepping stone to position him to rob the Nigerian treasury.

In future, a no nonsense very patriotic Nigerian(s) will take over the helm of power, and people like ffk and others like him, especially oga Soludo, will be brought to book. Their houses will be seized - afterall, it is the money stolen from the treasury that bought those houses and other luxuries they are enjoying. Nigeria needs to add more benefits for ministers after they retire.

Emefele, expose them all. And also go make an official report to ekelebes and the public, regarding all these criminals that are threatening your life. They have conspired to put the banks against Nigeria, you and Oga Buhari. No pity them anymore. Expose all of them for your legacy sake.

Politics › Re: Seun Kuti: Peter Obi Is An Opportunist, Only Nigerians Can Save Nigeria (Video) by viodemus: 2:03pm On Feb 06, 2023
Every candidate is an opportunist in my opinion, i think it depends on the real intent of acquiring that power. All go there for financial reasons, but some might want it more for legacy; like being a leader that made great impact and affect majority of people in a good way. I think oga Obi is at that space.

I don't think oga Atiku and Tinubu, are ready for the job mentally and even physically, at this time; which might not be of their doing. There might have been a time, but this is not a forfeit time, this is bring your best time.

In a larger scale, we need to have a sacrificial generation. The generation that will do the building of the plans from the past and present; like the 1960 to 1970 generation got independence and draw up some interesting infrastructural blue prints and social plans for Nigeria. Since then until now, we have had destructive and not so visionary leaders. Oga Obj would be my exception, not great but he tried.

The last generation to sacrifice in china for this current day China was the 1980s to 2000, then this generation are advancing on the progress.

The USA has many advancing generations, pushing the line generations. They had many dark times, but from 1930 to 2016, they have had advancing generations. They went off track with dotard Trump, but have always tried to stay on track with advancing to greater heights. The 1920 to 1960 were considered the greatest generation in American history, Generations before that were the foundational generation. The generations after, have been the improvers/advancing generations. Many generations have advanced the greatness. Competition might be stiff, but they are adjusting to arising situations. Same as UK, france, japan, etc

I think Nigeria has not had the builders and maintainer generation yet, eventhough maintenance is constant amongst all generations. So we are not at advancing on a big scale yet.

America is very diplomatic, they put in the extra work. Something china and Russia hate doing, they hate doing the hardwork of endearment. They like short cuts; But the Americans like to have a good understanding and long term relationships with other countries.

China and Russia are aggressively setting up weapons and building strength all around Africa, with or without their knowledge. America does that too, but with the host's knowledge. Leadership no be beans. Instead of Russia and china to be number 1, why can't it be Nigeria? USA keep leading the world. Many igbos and possibly many Nigerians support you.
