Good evening everyone! please going forward, is it mandatory to leave the money in the account till visa is out. Is there anyone here who pulled out his or her money while the visa process was still on going and still came out successful. My question is based on the fact that part of our visa fee was added to our POF. Thanks |

giselle237: You must have at least £1,270 in your bank account to show you can support yourself in the UK. You will need to have had the money available for at least 28 days in a row. Day 28 must be within 31 days of applying for this visa.
If your employer can support you instead Your certificate of sponsorship must confirm this. Your employer will need to complete the ‘sponsor certifies maintenance’ section on your certificate. This is under ‘Additional data’. Your partner and children must have a certain amount of money available to support themselves while they’re in the UK.
You - or your partner or child - will need: £285 for your partner £315 for one child £200 for each additional child Example You - or your partner or child - would need to have £600 to bring your partner and one child with you to the UK (£285 for your partner and £315 for your child).
You would also need to have £1,270 available to support yourself for your own application. Family of husband, wife and two children will need funds amounting to 1270 + 285 + 315 + 200 Other docs include english certificate, COS, TB test for each person, marriage certificate, wedding photos wtc to prove marriage is genuine and subsisting, birth certificate for each dependent child, consent letter for each dependent child signed by both parents. Please I'm yet to understand what the statement I highlighted means |

Please someone has already responded to my previous post but I'm still not cleared because I failed to give details of my worries. I want to study Business Analytics /data Analytics because I feel is a "Hot course'' in uk. However, I have seen a few for May intake(preferred section) but the location is in London and I don't like it because it is an expensive city. As it seems now, I only have one option which is Ulster University, for International Business with data analytics but the modules have more of business and a little bit of data analytics. Please do I go for it or am I going there to enjoy abroad and come back afterwards with my family. I planned to do other certifications either in data or Business Analytics while I studying in order to have more options. Please i need detailed response. |

bligs: No strong home ties, is your husband working and did you include it in your SOP? Did you make arrangements to fulfill the condition in your offer before applying for grant? The good thing is that you can try again but go for AL1 Uni and a more convincing home ties. Yes he's working and yes I did mention it in my SOP but I failed to give enough prove that he will be coming back to his place of work. The conditions they requested for was my SOP, reference letter from my previous employers and bank statement of my sponsor which I sent. Ok, I'll go for Al1 school then. Thanks so much for everything |

Uchefrancis16: Thank you very much for your contribution.
Pls what’s the benefit if AL1 universities over others? The little checks I did on google didn’t bring up much. It just said “it’s low risk immigration “ and listed the universities under the category. But no clear explanation was given.
Mind explaining a little? Thank u. bligs: You didn't provide enough info but nevertheless, * How related is your intending program to your initial degree? * Did you apply to AL1, AL2 or AL3 Institution? * Any educational gap and did you detailed it in your SOP? Sir, the school I chose was an Al2 institution and the course I applied for was still inline with my Bsc. I graduated 2015 and I have bn working in that same field since then. In my SOP, I stated that I'll be accompanied by my kids and husband although my husband will be coming back after we get settled. I also mentioned that I have had visa denial in the past (canada but it was a tourist visa) however, I have been to the USA and did not over stay. All these and more were stated in my SOP b4 I was given an Offer letter although it took them close to a month to grant me the conditional offer. I had two sponsors (my elder bro and my uncle) and their bank statement altogether was 25m |

bellong: @Viola2017,
Your application should not be making reference to your husband leaving his job. His job should be used as part of the home ties. Provide evidence of employment. It is not a compulsion that he should leave with you immediately. Noted Thank you sir |

bellong: @Viola2017,
Whatever you do, make sure it is a family application. Applying alone will not give you any advantage over applying as a family if you don't satisfy the GTE requirements.
Getting a subsequent entrant visa is more challenging than the original visa application as this is an indication that you have made a decision to move permanently after testing the waters .
Provide as much evidence as per home ties. Your husband job, your landed properties, family members are all important evidence of home ties.
Goodluck. Thanks for your response sir. As per your reply, since applying alone would have equal chance with applying as a family, I'd prefer to apply with my family. My major concern now is still that strong home ties owing to the fact that my husband works for an organization and would require him to resign if the visa is granted. Won't it be a red flag to the visa officer as he will have nothing to come back to after I'm through with my studies? I have come to realize that most grant are given to familes are preferably people into business which they can easily coordinate from anywhere. I look forward to your response |

Good evening house, Please I need your inputs. I hope to be in Australia next year Feb/ March through student visa but my major concern is not knowing if I should apply alone or with my family. Most agent says I should apply alone, after 6months or so my kids and husband can now apply but then my kids are too tender to be in hands of a nanny for the period earlier mentioned. By next year March, my oldest child will be 2years 9month while the other will be 1 year 5 months. My mum is willing to take care of them for a short while (3months) this is because she also hopes to be in the USA for her eye treatment. On the other hand, my husband won't be available all the time to be with them since his work is so demanding and most times takes him out of the state(Works with an international organization). Our plan is to apply at once then after 3 months, he'll resign, picks the kids from my mother, and then comes over. The issue now is what will serve as a strong home tie. We have landed properties and ongoing building but no business.
More so, if we decide that I apply alone, what's the possibility of my spouse and kids getting visa to join me soonest? This alone has been the scariest part. Please give me your best suggestions on what you think is the most appropriate way to proceed. Thank you! |

Big congrats to you. I just emailed you now pls don't ignore AyaE: Hello Guys, my grant just came in today!!!! Thanks to everyone who has contributed on this thread one way or the other on this thread. It has helped immensely. My time line: Submitted application-31st July 2019 Conditional offer- 15th July 2019 CoE- 24th November 2019 Biometrics- 27th December 2019 Submitted Visa Application- 25th January 2020 IELTS Score- 7.0 (I had a minimum band score of 7.0 so my average was 7.0). I got a waiver from the school so I didn't need IELTS for school admission. My agent advised I write one for visa so I did. School- Flinders University Sponsor's account: My maternal uncle. Submitted 2 bank statements. One had 18m and the other was a fixed deposit account that matures every 30days. It had 13m. Course- Social work (masters) BSc- Microbiology Agent: PFL Submitted my credentials, letter from sponsor, proof of relationship to sponsor (uncle & Mum's NPC) and sponsor's account statement. I didn't submit payslips or my account statement sha. Challenges faced: I already had an MSc in Microbiology so applying for a second masters was what I had to prove. Plus, with Social Work being a high risk course I had to write a convincing SOP. (I can share that with anyone interested cos mehn this took me like a month to write). My work experience was also a bonus cos I work as a care assistant. Sometime in December the bank statement I used for the school admission could no longer be used cos he had to move the funds to another bank for investment reasons. He had to submit another letter to this effect. He also had to back it up with the fixed deposit account. School resumes on Monday so if anyone could help with flight and accommodation links, I'd be most grateful.
Thank God!!!!!!! |
