CrimeRe: Lagos Airport Robbery Suspects Speak Out by Vires: 5:09pm On Apr 30, 2013
[quote author=EagleNest]Quite revealing. Imagine, some of these robbers are married with kids and are living deceptively amongst us. Some even have legitimate business like poultry & fish farming just to camouflage and erase any suspicion. But wait a minute, does it mean that their respective wives have no clue about their husbands activities. When they started spending money in chunks won't it raise suspicion. Imagine some of the robbers getting 180 million and yet they could not be spotted. Is it that they bury the money underground because going to bank would betray them. How did they hid this huge amount of money?

It amazes me that even after collecting 180million in one of their mission, they could still embark on another trip. This tells me that their minds are warped and polluted. Terribly greedy like an average Nigeria politician.

Also interesting to know how widespread these gangs are. Majority of them are not resident in Lagos but sneaks in/out of Lagos.

I also noticed that Lekki-Ajah corridor needs more police presence and the residents should be very careful b/c they are already tagged as generally being rich which attracts robbers and kidnappers. They should be simple (or loud) enough not to attract robbers or kidnappers.

Finally, kudos to the Nigerian police for at least not letting us down this time. Even though it was a reactive effort, I still think they were swift in picking them up irrespective of how widespread they are.I would also think in future that pro-active approach will help nip some of their plans and activities in the bud. By foiling their plans it means many lives and properties would be saved.

More of this...police!

GREED is a serious disease!!!
Even with 500k some of them received, is enough to start a small business and be content with, not to talk of 180million
Even if they rob every body blind, they can never be satisfied

emmatok: And how will the resignation letter be documented. The cake cannot be filed or kept in a folder.
He still needs to write a proper letter.
Obviously, there would be a typed copy of his resignation for filling.
This was done as a gift/display for his boss n colleagues

fkaz: Alam will be force to patronise our national hospital because, Even if Alam get cancer of eyes he no go near UK
Alams is condemned to Nigeria for life, even if he is seriously ill, he would have to patronize a hospital here.
He dare not travel to any other country, they might just hand him over to the British

Am sure James Ibori would never have imagined that a "middleeast" country like Emirates would hand him over when he fled to Dubai

EVEN IF HE WAS NAKED NKO!!!!!

In a civilised clime, the first set of ppl who saw him would have tried to get him/her clad, seek the nearest police or authority to get him/her
rehabilitated

In Nigeria, the first set of ppl would draw the attention of hundred other ppl to stare, condemn and eventually ROAST him/her alive

What a country huh?

Orikinla: No woman is complete without a man.
And no man is complete without a woman.

My woman did not have space for men, because the only time she had for herself are Sundays since she works from Monday to Saturday, 8am - 9pm. But I found my way into her Sundays and I am not leaving.
The only time she does not have time for me is only when she has to be in church or school.
I don't dictate to her and if she does not want to see me, I let her be until she opens her heart to welcome me again.
If you find the right guy, he will not mess around with the space and time you have given him.
hmmmmmn, so Orikinla you have a soft side
Interesting

teetee123: President Goodluck walks into a Bank to cash a check. As he
approaches the cashier he says, "Good
morning Ma'am, would you please cash
this check for me?"
Cashier: "It would be my pleasure sir.
Could you please show me your ID?"
Jonathan: "Truthfully, I did not bring my ID
with me as I didn't think there was any
need to. I am President Goodluck Jonathan,
the President of Nigeria"
Cashier: "Yes sir, I know who you are, but
with all the regulations and monitoring of
the banks because of impostors and
forgers and requirements of the Dodd/
Frank legislation, etc., I must insist on
seeing ID." Jonathan: "Just ask anyone here
at the bank who I am and they will tell
you. Everybody knows who I am."
Cashier: "I am sorry Mr. President but
these are the bank rules and I must
follow them." Jonathan: "I am urging you,
please, to cash this check." Cashier:
"Look Mr. President, here is an example
of what we can do. One day, Tiger
Woods came into the bank without ID.
To prove he was Tiger Woods he pulled
out his putter and made a beautiful shot
across the bank into a cup. With that
shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and
cashed his check." "Another time, Andre
Agassi came in without ID. He pulled out
his tennis racquet and made a fabulous
shot whereas the tennis ball landed in
my cup. With that shot we cashed his
check. So, Mr. President, what can you
do to prove that it is you, and only you,
as the President of Nigeria?"b
Jonathan : stands there thinking,
and thinking, and finally says, "Honestly,
my mind is a total blank... There is
nothing that comes to my mind. I can't
think of a single thing. I have absolutely
no idea what to do; I just don't have a
clue". Cashier: "Will that be large or small
bills, Mr. President
lol, lol, lol, lol, classic!!!

Johnsinia: Alams is a free man once again! There's nthin one can do abt it. D presidnt word is bigger dan all our ranting. Even though i do nt support d idea of setting free a heartless criminal; who am i 2 challa
nge d decissn of d presidnt of d most powerful black nation on earth? All i can do is pray dat God leads him well 2 do d right and if giving Alams pardon is d right tin den i pray dat Alams shuld repent indeed and also do restitutn as a proof of his repentance.
If he wants to do restitution, let him go to UK and face trial
PoliticsRe: What Abati Wrote About Alamiyeseigha In 2005 by Vires: 12:16pm On Mar 14, 2013
There is a saying, that when you are chopping you don't have mouth to talk.
Abati's mouth is busy chopping so he doesn't have mouth to talk

For those saying he wasnt the one that granted the pardon, that's true, nether did he vote or was he present at Council meeting
BUT, if he was DISGUSTED ENOUGH by Alams action of stealing, laundrying and jumping bail then
He should be DISGUSTED ENOUGH by the decision taken by the president and council of state to grant Alams pardon - then HE SHOULD RESIGN

But would he? nope, because after all he is just a typiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiical Nigerian
PoliticsRe: State Pardon For VIP Ex-convicts - A Worthy Step Or Not? by Vires: 11:25am On Mar 14, 2013
Since Alams has repented and he is remorseful, let him take a trip to UK and face the music
The British Judiciary would SURELY GRANT HIM PARDON

PoliticsRe: FG Pardons Diya, Yar'adua, Alamieyeseigha & Others by Vires: 10:51am On Mar 14, 2013
Whether the Council of State nominated, adviced or voted for Alams pardon, the FINAL decision still lies with the president. Full Stop

The president prolly looted or turned his face the other way when Alams was his boss, that's why sees nothing wrong in this!!!

Foreign AffairsRe: Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Is Dead by Vires: 11:14am On Mar 06, 2013
The Oil wealth of Venezuela is enough for it to be on par with the likes of Kuwait or Emirates or even NORWAY
but they are not.

Hugo Chavez started well with very good intensions, ie bridging the gap btw the rich and poor
but towards the end became power drunk. He amended his constitution to remain in power
And even when he became ill, rather than resign immediately and retire quietly, he decided to cling unto power!!!
