reindeer:Are you asking me what "I" want or you are asking me to be the mouth piece for women all over the world? |
hackney:Interesting, so every man who has posted here have been told the secrets of the female mind by ALL the women in the world. Making sweeping generalizations only suggest narrow mindedness. We should not use our experiences to form general theories about human behaviour. Saying all women are the same or want the same things is just as silly as saying all men are the same and want the same things. |
;DIt is amazing how men are answering for women. To Einstein, I understand your dilemma right now, but I don't think being unpredictable is unique to just women. Humans are generally unpredictable. However, I believe that anyone who passes you over to be with your friend or neighbour is not meant for you. So there is no hard and fast rule to getting the "one". I don't think anyone can beat their chest that they are maestros when it comes to the opposite sex. Just chill out, somewhere there is a woman who will have eyes just for you. ![]() |
deniyor: life_style: Funny, |
eros:My sentiments exactly. |
recoome:LOL, recoome or whatever you call yourself. You need to chill. I don't care what you read or the hidden meaning of eros comment. Something was pointed out to me and I took note of it. Child, you need to stop jumping up and down in glee over some correction made. Some of you are just so dramatic. I believe people should always state their opinions boldly, so therefore I saw no insult in eros comment. Even if I did, it should be up to me to decide what to do about it. You sound really idiotic, ![]() |
Eros Thanks for pointing that out to me. ![]() |
Correction in line 3 ", to your Mugabe to fight for independence, ". |
Zimdrill Try not to sound like you believe that if the whites left SA like they left your Zim, everything would be perfect. You might not know it but despite the so called issues Nigeria has, the west gives us a grudging respect for being blacks who can think for ourselves. From the donation of 20 million USD by the Obasanjo regime in the 70s to your Mugabe to fight independence to the role we played in liberating SA (nationalizing BP because the British wouldn't stop supporting SA's apartheid regime), to the peace keeping operations in which we have invested billions of dollars and precious Nigerian lives, Nigeria has done a lot to earn the respect it deserves. The only snag is our problems with leadership. God willing, we are moving ahead. Nigeria is a BLACK country run by BLACK people. Like part of Obama's speech made in early 2010 reads, "Nigeria is critical to the rest of the continent and if Nigeria does not get it right, Africa will really not make more progress, " The statement parked a debate on the BBC website, but yet the mind of America was made known. Most Nigerians might be aware of our problems but we are at least the owners of our country and that isn't much I can say for your SA and Zim. |
South Africa is a white country with a black majority. Nigeria has fallen behind in terms of infrastructural developments. Those of you exchanging words should just chill out. Every African country has its unique problems. I agree with those who feel that the woman "Bimbo Somolu" allowed herself to be used to make a claim on behalf of South Africa. I believe that while any country does not reserve the right to a particular moniker, the South Africans should have used their own citizens to make that claim. "Hi my name is Tsabalala. I know and believe above everything that my country South Africa is the giant of Africa". Tau! No problem. Do I really care if you want to call yourselves the shakers and movers of the continent. So in summary, point 1- Every African country in this blessed continent has PROBLEMS. 2- Don't be cowardly when throwing insults. Using citizens of a country to make a point against their own country was TASTELESS. Anyway, nuff said. BTW, all of you Africans fighting should go to other foreign forums and read what they say about Africa. Let me give you a hint , "nothing good comes out of that AIDS infested continent. Africans just cost the world billions in aid". So much for all your "my soup is sweet and yours is bitter" drivel. No African is better than the other period! |
Awww, I wish more men appreciated women. Anyway, the resilience of a woman should be celebrated because on her shoulder lies the continuity of the human race. |
Can anyone please tell me the adequate steps to take when applying for visa in the Canadian embassy and how long it takes to secure a visa with them. What are the appropriate steps to take? And if the embassy usually delays especially after admission has been granted to intending students. And if yes, how to avoid this delay. The horror stories I get about the Canadian embassy is just downright discouraging. |
Nigerians wake up from your slumber, we have become totally insignificant because of the thieves we call leaders. 70% of the nations revenue goes to keeping your sacred cows in high places fat and you sit back and enjoy their clowning in corridors of power arguing about their useless policies in beer parlours, social network forums, hospitals and commercial buses where you sweat like animals. Talk of suffering and smiling! No country will respect you if you have no respect for yourselves. All this "we have Africa at the center of our foreign policy" is just what it is, B.U.L.LS.H.I.T. We have sacrificed precious Nigerian lives in peace keeping efforts and accommodated other African nations in their struggles. We may be blessed with natural and people resources but we have an irritating ability to withstand nonsense. I have met a South African who made the mistake of talking bad about this country and all his dictionary laden grammar did not save him. South Africans have a hate problem alright (see their history from the days of Shaka the Zulu) so it is easy to see that their "beautiful" country is just a white country with blacks in majority. If the Dutch and Indians were not in South Africa, they would have been like every other black nation. Still, that is no excuse for our continuous collapse as a nation and tolerance of tyranny. The more we sit in inaction, these other Africans who have NOTHING will continue to insult, humiliate and scorn us. So enough with apathy, Nigerians set your house in order before your nationality becomes a snare for your life. |
In as much as tradition should be preserved because it is an integral part of our identity. I think the African society is patriarchal enough and no matter how we look at the topic, the fact remains that kneeling may reiterate the unspoken sacred belief that a man "owns" his wife. It should be a personal decision and if a woman is comfortable to go on her knees to feed her husband, it is entirely up to her and no one should condemn her for it. Such a woman cannot be estimated, perhaps she knows how to handle her business with her husband. Personally, I just hope that men don't think kneeling down during a marriage or reception ceremony means a woman will submit to her husband in marriage, as a woman I know this is far from the truth. A woman who will love, respect and honour you does not need to kneel down in the full glare of the world to be able to do that. Also a woman can put up appearances for the benefit of your culture worshiping relatives on your wedding day and make your life a living hell. We should not live our lives to please others, kneel if you want to kneel. Don't kneel if you think it is unnecessary. |
