The pressure is on, Rafael Benitez is already giving excuses after losing his first competitive match in charge at lnter The former Liverpool manager admitted Inter were below par against the Europa League winners, who triumphed through goals by former Arsenal forward Jose Antonio Reyes and Argentina striker Sergio Aguero. Benitez said he wants to change some of the things put in place by his predecessor Jose Mourinho but needs time to do so. lf Mourinho is still there the result would have been the opposite. Hear him: "Some things we will need to do in the same way as we did before and change the way we do some other things,'' said Benitez. "It's clear we will need some time but how long you never know. We have not had much time since the World Cup with the players. We were not at the level we needed to be against a team that was physically stronger and very good tactically.'' I wonder what he wants to change by not wining. |
WATCH : THE UNPAID TIME KEEPER ? Since the watch and wrist watch was invented, it has played the role of a time keeper without pay. The watch factories of the world, workers and investors have benefited so much to this invention. However the respite to the watch now is that it controls almost every aspect of life. The new way of life, in the beginning appeared very attractive to different people, but people from different sectors working harder and plunked busy all the time soon started understanding that their life is now controlled by their watch. They simply looked at their watch on their wrist to know the time for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Things started moving with time and stopped with time. This is the era where the watch played a greater role. Time became the most important aspect of life and people understood that the more they would work the more they could earn. Wrist watch in this period was bought by each and every person who needed to move punctually with time. |

Yakubu Hassan was 26 years old and was newly married when he was involved in an auto crash in July 1999 which left him paralyzed. Hassan, as a footballer He was a striker with the Bauchi State Government owned Wikki Football Club. Yakubu and his team mates were traveling to Katsina for a match when the tyre of their vehicle burst and the vehicle somersaulted in the process. They were just two kilometres to Ningi, when the incident happened. The impact flung the occupants out of the vehicle, resulting in several degrees of injuries, with Yakubu抯 being the most serious. Bedridden for 11years now, Yakubu who is popularly called Bebeto, owing to his exploits in the game of football is today confined to his room at the family house in Gwallagan area of Bauchi. He now depends on family members to cater for him, even as he has equally pleaded with the wife to go and marry another man upon realizing that he cannot meet both his conjugal and financial obligations. In spite of his condition, the former footballer, now 37, told Daily Sun that he has a strong belief that he would one day walk with his two legs again. Why he asked the wife to go 揑 had to ask my wife to go because in our culture wives depend on their husbands. Although Aisha worked then, I still gave her money. How will I cope? I was getting N3000 from Wikki per month. She was with me for one and a half years. Each time I set my eyes on her, I feel sad and cry. So, I had to plead with her to go.? |

It baffles me how the good and heard working always go unrewarded in this Country. How can Enyeama who proved to all in South Africa that he was ready to die for the Country be treated like others who were there to show off ?. Talk about throwing the bath water away with the baby. ![]() |

Migration is as old as human history. Not minding the salient accounts of religious texts and popular mythologies, archaeological and anthropological findings suggest that our forbearers - the Hominids and the Homo sapiens - migrated from Africa to other regions of the world. But, of course, this was millions of years ago and with all kinds of evolutionary and genetic transformation taking place. In modern times, there are many reasons why humans engage in cross-border or international migration. The United States of America is many things to many people. Here, dreams are dreamt up and made. It is a land of many possibilities and countless headaches. It is a land of dream merchants, fabulists, heart-breakers and tale-tellers. This is the land of loving gods and fire-spitting deities. Everything is possible here. From Alaska to Florida and from Hawaii to Maine to Puerto Rico to Texas - this is the land of the possible. Histories are made, barriers are removed and frontiers are crossed. This is the USA, but beware! |
This one pass USA for sure. |
Bless her soul |
