Out of Africa and into China, immigrants struggle

Sweating heavily and yelling at Chinese police officers, a group of Nigerians dragged the lifeless body of an injured compatriot up to a Guangzhou police station, blood dripping from a deep gash on his head.

Around them, a crowd of over one hundred Africans chanted, some holding sticks as others smashed potted plants and blocked traffic, demanding justice from the Chinese police after officers chased the man out of a high-rise window in a tightening security crackdown on illegal overstayers in the city this year.
"They don't like black people to stay in China any more. They want us to go," said Frank, one of the Nigerians at the protest on July 15 that was filmed by witnesses.
"They treat us like animals," added Frank, an illegal overstayer, who wouldn't give his name for fear of reprisals.

It is now very difficult to leave China for those staying illegal.The authorities insist one should go to jail before paying fine and ticket to go.
Therefore the Nigerian Community here with the assistace of the Nigerian Embassy is doing everything to plead with the authorities to allow many of our people g[color=#000099][/color]o without seeing the walls of Chinese prison.

For some months now some of our youths have invaded this Southern commercial City in China and have been using matchetes as their main weapon to dispossess genuine business men of their money.They have various groups that  maim people  claiming to be debt collectors.Our Country image is at stake here. The Nigerian Community have been battling to bring the situation under control with the assistance from the security agencies.

Enough of this tribal war on Nairaland!!!!!

Fashanu should be left with his decision, and in this government of rule of law anybody who has a proof as regards IBB's wrong doing should go to Court .

l am writing from China,. lf you are coming for business good, you will not regret it. Normaly a one month Chinese visa cost 7000 naira but you must have a valid invitation letter from a Chinese Company . This is not easy to get since you a first timer . Visa fee by agents is about 180,000 naira for a first timer. when you arrive you will be able to make plans for your next visa to be cheaper by applying for an invitation letter through the Company you did business with.

The Country is a wonderful place to be if you can enter,and there are job opportunities. You must be hard working to make it there because they don't play with their job . l advice that you don't go and use Nigerian tricks, if you do you will be kicked out from factory to factory. The jobs they have for foreigners is the three d,s .Dirty , Dangerous and Difficult, l was there from 1994-1997. Good luck.

l was informed about another Nigerian who jumped from 7 th floor to flee when Police came to check their papers in Guangzhou China.

l am using this opportunity to advice anyone trying to start importation with little capital to hold on because of the change in exchange rate.
The Naira is loosing strength against the US dollars therefore anybody importing now should wait and watch. lf one is not careful you may regret after buying with the current high exchange.It will take a long time before the market price of goods adjust.

l wish to comment on the wrong attitude of our ladies these days especially in Lagos when riding on a bike popularly called (okada).
The way they expose their buttocks while seating on the back of the bike with the kind of trousers they wear now is unfortunate.
Can someone advise them to cover their underwears and the buttocks v they advertise for free.
It is not that sexy or beautiful for men to look at, if that is the idea.

Recently on my way back from China l passed through Singapore to know wetin dey.
l was suprised to meet not a few of our guys stranded there. On inqireing l found out that some of us are still being deceived by dubious travel agents who claim people can go to that Country and play football or live without legal papers.
Many people fell for the sweet talk that Nigerian passports are visa free there. Yes visa free but for only fifteen days on arrival and after that you are on your own, be warned hardly will you get an extension. Be you a skilled person or not.
Life can be terrible there if you jet out like a novice[b][/b] .

Having lived in China for a long time.l wish to share my idea on many opportunities there that can make someone rich in few months with little investment.

As a person who lived in China since 1999 to tell the truth China is a gold mine.l can prove it.l know there culture, language and Cities like the back of my hand.There are five guys that l helped who has made it big.They are now back in Nigeria doing their business by traveling and importing from China.
When they arrived China they came with nothing l mean less than $100 . Two of them where deported from South Korea to China instead of Nigeria because they had Chinese visa on their passport as a precaution before leaving Nigeria on my advise.
Our people will not be so desperate to go there in-spite of the many problems if there is nothing.
Statistics had shown that 80% of Nigerians who were deported after serving  two to nine months in jail, paid a  fine of 5000 RMB about $800  plus their return ticket still find their way back there for business.Not to talk of those who came back on their own.
You can actually start a profitable business from anywhere you are on this planet by importing from China.
You can start with $500 or more and be surprised at your turn over in six months.You can teach English and live legally there if you know how.

l am in Nigeria now from China l have living there for the past 9 years. l must use this opportunity to warn any nairaland member or anybody wishing to go there and live without getting his resident papers processed first to think twice.

Many Nigerians are in prison there now because of illegal stay.The authorities would not renew your papers easily and where possible the payment is three times what they charge other Nationals. Don't wast your money going there now without proper documents.The situation of things now in Guangzhou China where most Nigerians live is better imagined than experienced. To be forwarned is to be forarmed.

l want to use this forum to alert would be husbands to find out this three most important things about their spouse
before marriage to avoid had l know later.
My elder brother made this mistake and correcting it is now causing a lot of problem.
(1)Find out  her temperament
(2)Find out if she had caused more than three wounds in her womb through many abortions
(3)Find out if there is any reasonable person in her family that you can depend upon in times of misuderstanding or quarrel.
The first can wreck any home if the lady and you are  hot tempered.
The second can also wreck anyhome because the most important reason why men marry in Africa is to have children.
The third can also wreck any home because when a big trial  from e:g poverty,delayed conception,ill health arises that person there can be depended upon.

l am truly a blues fan, but the failures of last season nearly made me change. However lets look up to the new season with hope with Scolari in Charge. l was afraid his English would be a problem but with his last interview there has been much improvement.

:oIt surprises me why our people would take such risk to go to Europe when they could easily travel through some Asian Countries like China or Vietnam without stress. This madness should be stoped life is precious.Chris Daniel.
