The mistake they made was spending so much time blaming their partners (PDP), instead of facing the problems headon. Today, they have exhausted their energy in the blame game and by the time they wanted to face the reality, it's seemed late. They are now surprised. May God deliver Nigeria |
The guy's lawyer is a disappointment. He should know that he might not have a second chance in case the case went against his client. So, he should have included the reduction of sentence in his appeal. The guy would have gotten something from it. Meanwhile, it's just that I believe all of us have a life line to repentance. Those guys can be wicked. Anybody who has the guts to rob with toy gun can rob with AK-47 if he finds one. Crime doesn't pay. Hard work pays. I hope that one government will rise and review his case. |
Driving from Lagos to Abuja, less than 6 customs check points. Lagos to Onitsha more than 10 customs check points. What are they checking? I don't support illegal business, but the guys are actually frustrating genuine business through intimidation. It's not about Igbos alone, it's a circle of pain because when one eye is bleeding, the other one feels it as well. Ask yourself, where is the N9b made by Customs in one day going to (if the N9b story is true)? If we don't all wake up as a people and condemn extortion in this country, one day they'll ask us to pay VAT for child birth. It's not about Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa. What is bad is bad |
The politics is supposed to be between the South and The North, but some people want it to be between the North and the South West. In the North, it's about sharing things among North West, North East and North Central. In the South, it has to be only the South West. So, let's see how it goes. If the South cannot come together, with the South West ready to make sacrifices, everything will eventually go to the North. The language will now be, "if you no eat, scatter it" |
duality:The guy was not talking to you in particular but I think he hit you hard indirectly. That's the problem with Nigeria, if you say the truth EFCC and DSS of Nairaland will come for your head. Honestly, I just learnt something meaningful from that piece. |
I wished it was fixed for 23rd, I would been there. Happy married life |
The projects are too many that you cannot see them. By the time he's done with Edo State, you'll start seeing the projects on which he spent the money. I have refused to speak evil about Nigeria, but some politicians are funny. Lord, please remember me one day. Favour me with a connection that will turn things around. |
The problem in Nigeria is that we do things out of jealousy in order to prove that we belong. The fact that oil is in Niger Delta and some parts of the East doesn't mean there will be oil everywhere. There many natural resources in different parts of the country that can still help our economic growth, but every region wants to own oil by force. Honestly, the way they were hyping the Lagos oil discovery, I was thinking by now Lagos would be producing 5m barrels per day. Meanwhile, the search is still ongoing in the North. |
Op, What's your business with Wike? Did you contest for election? He will be governor for 8 years. When he's done, go and put him in jail. But I'm very sure the Nigerian constitution doesn't have provision for sending people to prison simply because they're wicked. Move on |
Na una sabi. Whichever way it goes, let the government work hard to improve the living conditions of the masses. It looks like this present document called The Nigerian constitution is so with in incoherent. The lawyers are even confused about some issues. |
Story for the gods. The 25% is not just between AA and PDP. It's all about the percentage total votes among all the political parties that contested the election. So you get the total votes received by PDP, AA, APC, APGA, YPP, ADC, Put them together and see what percentage that of PDP will give you. They have won the election. Lawyers over to you. |
But how come the killings stopped immediately he left APC? Or, am I the only one who noticed that? Do you think if the federal government will allow state's to handle security, things won't be better? Why is the apex government indirectly against grazing law. Forget stories, There are plenty useless governors out there. |
That's my polling unit. The report is very accurate. I voted and went home to eat and come back for the counting, only for us to see everything on fire. It's quite unfortunate. These things are actually happening because of Senate and House of Assembly polls, not presidential. Although the guys insisted we must vote all APC candidates |
I just cast my vote, went home to eat and come back for the counting. Only for yours to set the entire thing on fire Earlier, some APC guys came and were intimidating us, insisting we must vote their candidates or there will be problems |
In my polling unit, voters are around but no INEC staff on site. Ago palace way Okota. They want to frustrate us so we can go home. But we're here waiting. |
dedonfranco:They clearly won Osun State It's just that they're paying the price of what they introduced, rigging. Always leave Good behind as you journey in life. Meanwhile, the truth remains that this election is very open, you can't be too sure who's going to win. I'm going to cast my vote, cast your own and let's leave the rest for God. We're still friends. See you guys on Monday |
Wizklynd23:You are one of them, please say something. |
God has taken control. We don't want war, we want peace so that we can prosper. On Saturday, The Almighty God will perfect what He started. Congratulations to our New Nigeria |
The Independent National Electoral Commission will automatically disenfranchise about 1.5m voters dues the policy ''you must vote where you registered''. For the 2019 general election, there are a total of 119,973 polling units in Nigeria. There are about 29 presidential candidates, though some have no business being there. But let's narrow them down to about 10. The 10 will have a party agent in each polling unit. Each unit will have 2 police officers. Minimum number of INEC staff, 3. If you put these numbers together and multiply by the number of polling units (15x119, 973), you will have a total of 1,799,595. These people will be working on locations different from where they registered. Or, are security agencies and election staff not supposed to vote? If my argument is right, then I think it's better we have good electoral reform and mechanism that will allow individuals vote from any. Gurus in the house, your opinion. |
Habitual lateness |
You would have told us the total number of votes cast, before percentage. It's possible you gathered 10 APC supporters and conducted a poll among them. How many people voted? |
gentlegenius:Trust Northerners, they'll want power to remain in their region for long. If Buhari wins, in 2023 PDP will still zone presidency to the North. Those Northerners who are sending Osunbade to go and share money in the market will just dump APC for Tinubu and Osunbade and make sure PDP wins. |
I just hope your people on Nairaland will not call you ipob |
The truth is that he has the culture of getting close to the people both before and after elections. He pay pays attention to everything that matters. I can tell you that if they win, this Apapa mess will be sorted out within a short period. The only man with no criminal record as a governor. |
But nobody is arguing that. Or, have you heard anyone say otherwise? |
They have already won I don't think there can be anything worse than what we saw last week. |
On the day of election, I will go out and cast my vote. I will leave the rest in the Hands of the ruler of all nations (The Almighty God). Politicians have fooled us so much, God will surely make fool of them this time. There's no smoke without fire. |
Uteghe:Blackmailed everywhere. |
Cut cost of governance President N1m with little allowances Senators N700,000 with few allowances Reps N500,000 with few allowances Increase teachers' salaries and those of security agencies. Get capable hands as ministers and pay them well. Each position must be occupied by a person with related academic background. A retired military general cannot be minister for agriculture. |
There's trouble in our national treasury. By the time they do this for years, poverty would have been raised to power 30. Kontinu |
But the APC also had a meeting in Dubai in 2014 |

igbere IPOB lie dey sweet to readoo.
