Thanks a lot @Africankel for your assistance.
Sticker visa arrived today.
Application date: June 25th, 2025 Passport got delivered today: July 8th, 2025
Applied for a vfs evisa on the 4th July because I was worried the sticker would take time to be processed. It is still pending. Should have been patient o. |
Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Vitra: 7:54am On Jun 24, 2025 |
Africankel: Both visas are the same, except that the VFS platform has more staff attending to applications than DHA, which makes it faster. VFS is more expensive and has a shorter processing time, while DHA is less expensive and processing time can be up to two months in some cases. Please for the evisa application, flight booking is required. I haven't booked my flight yet. Is there a way to go about this? Also they asked for accommodation booking. This has not been done yet. Please how do I go about this? The conference Organizers are doing the arrangements at a hotel but they haven't sent the booking details. Thank you. |

Africankel: Here's the link https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/ Thank you so much for your assistance. Please I have another question. What's the difference between the VFS evisa and DHA evisa? Which is cheaper and has a shorter processing time? Thanks again for your assistance. |
Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Vitra: 8:53am On Jun 17, 2025 |
Africankel: The VFS evisa is different from the normal (sticker) application where you submit documents physically. Aside the sticker visa, VFS has a platform for evisa which is costlier and faster than the evisa from DHA.
If you decide to go for the sticker visa (which I won't advice, given the time of your travel), do not use the premium service, it has no influence on your application. Thank you so much for the clarity! I would really appreciate if you can help with the link for the VfS evisa as the one I came across keeps taking me to this which I think is the sticker visa application. https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/zaf |
Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Vitra: 2:12pm On Jun 15, 2025 |
Africankel: Given the limited time you have, apply for evisa through VFS, processing times is between 3 to 15 days. Limit your application to the conference alone, you can explore when you travel. Thank you. To clarify, for the evisa, are you referring to the normal application at VFS where I book an appointment online and go to their office to submit physical documents? Also I saw there's premium service, is it worth paying for it? Thank you. |

Good morning everyone. Please I need help urgently. I am going to South Africa for the first time next month for a conference of about 3 days.
Please can Nigerians apply for evisa? And what's the difference between it and the evisa? Also which one is faster? Please can someone put me through the evisa and the normal process? Which is faster.
Also affer the work conference i might explore a bit of SA for 2-3 days. Please how can I tie that into my application. Thank you |

Tonyamori: Sent kindly accept thanks Hi, please I need your help with CES evaluation application. There's a place for uploading of official academic record and academic record. That means applying twice for transcript from my school to get my own copy and official copy. How did you go about yours? My transcript would take a long time to get to them. Can I start the process? Make payment while my school works on getting the transcript across to CES. Is email okay for getting the transcript to CES since a physical copy would take time. Thanks. |

Goodday, please can you provide a step by step process? I want to begin the process of name change. Did you do the NIN change in Abuja as well? What of the affidavit process? ewami: Honestly, this is unbelievable. I was on this forum weeks ago asking about how to go about the change of name (as a man) and no concrete response was given (I understand that people may not have the answer to all questions). But I took a step of faith. Please read on I booked a flight to Abuja and I got to the NIS HQ with knowing no one. I sat at the Data processing center studying the events while suddenly, I approach an officer ,he listened to me and directed to another officer and that one directed to another . I was patient and finally met another officer who God used to help me. Long story short . My application for change of name was approved that same day I captured that same day I was given a slip that shows when my passport will be ready . God showed me Mercy ( I can't explain) The officer was carrying my file about as if I paid a huge money. Please friends ask questions and do fact findings but above all don't place a man in the place of God.(I captured before the so called 'long leg' did there's) I am not a pastor not a religious person. But this one I know that God showed me Mercy in NIS HQ Abuja Summary Change of name plus charges .....30,900 My passport fee plus charges.........25,500 This excluded my return ticket flight (same day flight) and I gave that sweet officer a thank you token. That's all I paid . My people , I landed MM2 10:38pm thereabout that same day I left . Please try and help people always not for your gain. God be with u all. |

OvaSabi1: Step 1. Decide what you want out of the stock market. Do you want to be a day trader or a long term investor? Please take note that the glamour of day trading is enticing but it has been proven many times that day traders make less returns than long term investors. 2. What kind of risk are you willing to take? Remember that high risks mean higher gains or losses. How do you determine risky stocks? I use fundamental analysis. A company with a high Beta, high debts and negative EPS are some of the metrics I use to measure risk. I also compare quarterly returns, search for earnings call days and set an alarm on my calendar. For example, I have a covid stock $OSUR that I intend to offload today due to their unfavourable earnings. Also, they deviated from their Covid-19 testing plan. This is even one of the reasons I am selling it. Please, look at a company's 1, 2, 3, 7, 10 year stock gains before buying it. 3. You have to download Yahoo Finance, search for "Dave Ramsey on stocks" on YouTube and watch everything he has to say about stocks. Use these websites: The Mortely Fool, Market Watch and Globe News Wire have provided great analysis. Find the Twitter pages of the single stocks you want to buy. Not just this, search for hashtags of the "ticker" of this company. Open an account with Reddit and follow these sub reddits: investing, wall street bets, penny stocks and stocks. If you can understand what he says, follow Jim Cramer. But he flip flops, just get the information you want out of all the jargon. 4. Be a disciplined person. Don't be easily swayed by people claiming to be making extraordinary returns. My target is to make above the rate of inflation and some change. If I exceed this target, it is a bonus I am grateful for. I am happy for anyone who makes far above me, it is not a competition because we're all trying to survive. Never ever feel like you have missed out on any opportunity when you hear people celebrating their gains in a particular stock. Another opportunity will arise. 5. Stay away from derivatives for now. Stuff like options, short selling, futures etc are highly speculative and are akin to gambling. 6. Do not be tempted to place all of your savings into a single stock or into the stock market. Always have an emergency fund that you can access from your atm machine. On a day that you don't expect, your car will break down, you will fall sick and your grandma in the village will swallow razor blade. Withdrawal from the stock market will erase all your gains for that year. Thank you so much. This is very helpful. |
