Hi..did you get any mail that your visa was granted? I just got a mail to pick up my passport

The mail was only from TLS and DHL, they didn’t state the decision on the mail. I didn’t get any message from UKVI
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Vivianchi98: 6:13pm On Mar 06
Good evening gurus.
I applied for a France Shengen visa online and currently getting my documents ready for submission, I have a few questions:

1) I have a previous Irish visit visa rejection, do I declare it on my cover letter and submit the rejection letter. I am asking because it wasn’t asked on the online form and I don’t want to do anything that will lead to a ban.

2) I recently got a UK visit visa, yet to use it though. Do I add it in my application?

3) how much should I budget as I go with to TLS VI including the current visa fee in Naira.

4) on an average, how long does it take to get a visa decision

5) any special advice to note.

Yes I have read through a major part of this page for information. I just need further clarity

I am a medical doctor intending to apply for visitors visa to enable me write my PLAB2 in April.
However I have 2 concerns
1st…I have been previously denied a multiple entry visit visa to Ireland last year and upon appeal it was denied on 2 reasons ;
Why I didn’t visit my fiancé in the UK instead
The date I planned on returning had passed before the date the appeal officer reviewed my case. (Irish visitors visa takes 8weeks after biometrics to get a decision and about 3weeks on an appeal case)
N/b; my husband then fiancé lives in the UK and we had planned on having a pre wedding vacation in Ireland And that was why I didn’t apply for a visit visa to the UK then.

2nd….. my hubby lives in the UK on post study visa and would be sponsoring my air ticket and accommodation as my exam is far from where he lives so I will be booking a hotel. I will take care of my feeding and internal transport.

I am worried that having my hubby there may be disadvantageous regarding my evidence/obligation to return.

I will be submitting my bank statements of 6months as I am gainfully employed and earn 300k after taxes.

I would also like to state that I contributed about 1.8m to my wedding in November so the expenses will reflect in my October, November and December bank statements and they are duly labeled. I normally spend between 40k-70k of my salary monthly. I have about 2.6m in my account

How do I go about it?
What are my chances of getting my visa approved

Good evening gurus.
So my TLS appointment is on Tuesday and I choose self service , I have a few questions.
1) when is the latest I can upload my documents online before my biometrics
2) can I upload it daily in batches before finally clicking submit on any other day
3) must I upload all the documents same time

Thank you

Good evening gurus in the house.
I have 2.6m saved in my account for my salary and I wrote on the online application that I intend to use 1m towards my feeding and transport within the UK as I will be staying for 16 days, while my hubby who is my co sponsor will be supporting with £2500 paying for my accommodation and flight fare cos I am going for exams. My hubby stays in Uk but far from my exam place. So on my online form, I wrote 1m from me and £2500 from him. However after drawing the budget, I realized we may not be spending up to that amount.
Feeding and transport would cost me about 320k (£176) while flight and accommodation will cost my hubby about £1,600. Will this affect my application since I already said we were contributing 1m and £2500 for the trip in the online form.

Our bank statements can carry it comfortably and we are each employed so source of income is not a problem.
I am just worried if it will be considered as a discrepancy in a negative light.
Do I need to increase the figures in my budget so it can take up all the money we are intending for it.

How can your husband who legally lives in the country, you seeking a legal route to move to the country and be closer to your husband be a worry? I mean you are only visiting to take the exams at this time, afterwards their are still a few bridges to cross, like getting a GMC license, a trust that will offer you an employment and in a longer term, be reunited with your husband. I see no worries there, but pure human FEAR from previous denials. State facts in your current application, support with your plab 1 result, a date for plab 2, state facts of your previous visit intentions where applicable and what you look forward to achieving with current application, that should do. Don't go about thinking you're a flight risk when you aren't and can't even perhaps be any.

I have heard all you said and I have also added most of these things mentioned in my cover letter. I just pray everything works out fine. I am truly worried though. My hubby is also a doctor

Well, your husband, and you, have every RIGHT to ask him to support if thats what is best for you two.

Well, I advise you apply for a visitor visa, take sole sponsorship of the trip without having a contributionfrom your husband if that is possible, acknowledge your hubby lives in the UK, and he may visit you or you may visit him during your visit. However, stress you will return to the UK after your exams to continue work back home . Add your current work leave permission to it, explain the facts you have stated here in the additional information space why you intended to visit Ireland at that time and not the UK. You should be fine, circumstances change, people change and applying as it applies to your current situation works best.
All the best.

Because of the exchange rate, I may not be able to financially sponsor the trip alone

If your husband lives in the UK, you might be seen as a flight risk.

You need to emphasis your home ties.

Yes this is my worry, I don’t know how to go about it truly.

@vivianchi98 is it too late for you to apply for a student dependent visa? Just checking your options as that makes more sense since your husband.. like a whole husband is in the UK.. visa officer might not be too convinced that you are coming in only as a visitor.

Yes it is a little too late cos we were not married at the time he got his visa
