Honestly and if someone does not have a good risk rewrd..i swear profit cannot be made...even a strategy of 30% win rate o...win 3 out of 10 trades..with good riskrewrd go still make money at the end...... compared to person wey dey win 60% but poor riskrewrd.......

Naaah, there are people who pick up 10 pips daily and they are consistent. Long term Win rate and RR is all that matters. My own opinion.

10 pips daily? until one 40 pips loss go wipe out person profit & hard work of 4 days.....

You can sit satisfied that your target has been met and hopefully the trade running will bring more profits for tomorrow's target. Here, the advantage is that when you are unable to trade the next day for personal reasons, you are good because you have met the target for another day if the running trade netted more pips. This is where the strategy differs from scalping. You are right in that it may not be as easy as it looks on paper but it helps to keep one's focus on the goal.[/color]

Here's one truth boss, there are different techniques for different personalities in the market. Myself I'm more of a "low-budget" position trader. I'm ok holding for weeks on a position but there are others who can only hold for few minutes and others for a day (this is basically something we all know).

There is a downside to every technique and whichever one we choose, we should accept the downsides too. Taking what the market gives you, Is that out of fear of loss or because the trend has changed?

That is the question that needs to be answered.

My boss in the practical sense it's not as easy as this sounds on paper..this idea is similar to scalping take small small profits and then BOOM big loss......there are some trades that the moment you enter them na loss o...inshort more & more loss.. so it might sound easy or like a fantastic plan but....hmmm anyway try it & give us feedback. ...

I got this move correctly. It retraced back. I didn't close because I wanted more.

Now I am back to that level.

If I had closed the moment I got signs that it will retrace and open a new position,

I would have doubled my profit by now.

The new trade risk would have been out of the profit taken.

But in a long run audusd will sell now...why you stressing yourself. You are right.

The issue i have with trading all this similar economy currency is that... sometimes they force you to trade in one direction....like say i buy EURGBP now...and i see a buy signal in GBPUSD i will not want to enter because i already sold gbp in the first trade... The same issue i have when trading AUDnzd that's why I don't like to dey trade them....

Y'all remember the USDCAD trade I was holding since 23/09/2021? Well, I was liquidated today . Profit was not taken because I've been trying to master the art of position scaling. Twice I've been bitten but I'll try again.

My trading style is quite different and I'll try to "bleed as much as possible during training" so that I wouldn't bleed much on the battle field.
I'd love to hear any advice from more experienced swing traders who do my type of swing trading on how I can improve as regards position management.

Wow! Thanks for your openness and transparency. This happens to us all once in a while as long as one is a discretionary trader. You're bent to be carried away by the emotions and market fluctuations which throw someone off the balance and from our ideal trade plan. But it's always good to quickly identify this scenario and try not to revenge trading, it can throw somebody many days hardwork out in a jiffy.

Thank God you're able to recoup back some of your loss. But there is one technique I am trying to sniff out of your trading stats you shared few days ago on your FTMO challenge. The art of CAPITALIZING on your winning trade with that Excellent Lot Sizes. Do you pyramid while covering the lot already in profit or what?. Its amaze me but I really what to learn that technique if you mind sharing it.

Oga Gabson is a boss... Very transparent trader. Unlike some of us here only posting profit....when the trade go into loss...dey go just lock up like say nothing happen.
