Now to chf, nzd & gbp...still holding... Gbpjpy has reached first high of 152.840 if it keeps buying to above 153.439.....I AM OUT.

For chyjpy first high at 120.594 reached... Above 121.192....I am out.

Nzdjpy is still under 78.10 so i'm still holding for a sell.... today's just 8th of October....we still 14+ more trading days to go.

However, I stopped trading after I learnt that daily duties kept taking me away from the monitoring the charts to lock in profits, minimize loss and to detect change in or continuation of sentiment and close the trade or leave it to run accordingly. Many times, I scarcely glance at the charts owing to other offline pursuits. I decided to focus on one until, probably, another competition surfaces.

Psychological aspect is balanced but will continue to exercise it to keep it firm and healthy.

Boss... maybe being a swing trader is what suites your busy schedule....i used to like to trade intra day... looking at 15mins candlestick jump up & down..but it was stressful chai... it's not easy o... especially when i was trading binary options 1 min for 90% return.... The mental effect is horrible....abeg now i prefer swing trade... because i csn relax & do analysis...set my s.l & allow room for market to move...

I am not comfortable with that name "pro trader" anyway, the amount of loss you will have will depend on your risk to reward ratio, since my risk to reward ratio is 1:1 that means I will be risking 1% of my account to make 1% profit , so losing 1% of my account is not a big loss, as long as the win rate is quite high

I trade with 3:1....

Two wins I'm done for the day....

If I encounter a loss in my first trade for the day...

I recover in the next two trades...
That's it....

I trade like this because i don't have the patient to wait for trades....

And I'm profitable with it, because it's something I've mastered.....

Same with 1:3 or any other rr....but a win will happen & when it does....you can gather profit with multiples of 1:3 or 1:4 or 1:6 .....unlike 1:1.

If you're a scalper, day trader, swing trader any kind of trader at all...
What determines your risk to reward ratio is your win rate....
You can decide to use 1:6 ratio..
And in 10 trades you win just one....
Will you call that person a profitable trader. .

Someone can actually have a risk to reward ratio of

3:1

In 10 trades he wins 8 and losses 2..
That trader is profitable....

It all boils down to techniques and trading pattern...

All in all a trader should have a reasonable profit target every month.

But at the end just 2 wins out of 10 with 1:6 makes you profitable.
You need at least 3 wins out of 10 with 1:3 to make you profitable. And it differs with swing traders....but Scalpers that just take small profit or 1:1 is what i am trying to get....big losses can happen unlike in swing were you already understand your risk....

[color=indigo]been very busy all day so apologies for the late reply. As regards the stoploss, that is another matter. I believe (my opinion, not fact) SL and TP should be equal. The greater the Stoploss the greater the pips needed to reach your goal if the stoploss is hit. For example, if one's stoploss is 2% of the account and the person needs 1% daily to meet their target but then the stoploss is hit...the person would now need a little more profit target to survive but sometimes that little more can prove difficult to capture. Easier to make it equal so as to give oneself a fighting chance to land on the side of winning. Just my take, boss.[/color]

I am getting your analysis little by little... So let's say in 1:1 risk rewrd. I am using a s.l of maybe 15pips to get 15pipz profit... not that i am risking 15pips for just 5 or 10pips? ... nobody can win a trade all the time....so i assume maybe you use s.l or not?

Well, i am a scalper, scalping has nothing to do with risk reward ratio, u can be a position trader and still have a risk reward ratio of 2:1



In case you did not know what scalping is, let me tell u now, scalpers are traders who trade the lower timeframe , examples of lower timeframe are the 1 minutes timeframe, the 5mins timeframe and the 15mins timeframe e.t.c


Also, scalpers open and close their trade within few minutes, for example I can open a trade now and close it in 5 mins time by doing so u have crab some profit within 5 mins



So trading using lower timeframe have nothing to do with risk reward ratio , personally my risk to reward ratio is 1:1


So that is just it

Thanks pro trader...but you didn't say how you deal with the big losses that come with scalping.....
