I said it and i repeat, Chidera Ejuke is more intelligent than any winger that has featured for the Super eagles in the past four years at least.

Samuel Chukwueze has been improving in leaps, especially in his understanding of the wing play dynamics.

To explain Ejuke's intelligence – in the game against Tunisia, Ejuke tried to use his speed, movement and dribbling to affect the defensive shape of the Tunisians, he was looking for an opening and tried to see if he could drag some players with him, but the Tunisians aside crowding their box, were also defending in zones.

How can you be missing someone who was never part of you?

Paul Onuachu is too limited for possession football.
he cant pass to save his life and so he is practically non-existent there.
Onuachu is too limited for most coaches and modern football
but can still suceed in a top 5 league with a coach who just understands his limitations

The Portland Timbers’ forward tops the list of Super Eagles’ players invited for the make or break Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Hector Cuper’s Pharaohs.

Nigeria have announced a list of 42 players for March’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt.

The list released by the Nigeria Football Federation contains a mix of 22 local professionals and 20 foreign based professionals.

Heading the list are Fanendo Adi, Emmanuel Daniel, Sincere Seth, Segun Oduduwa, Chris Madaki, Stanley Amuzie and Aminu Umar who have been handed a call up to the Super Eagles for the first time.

Making a return to the senior national team is Victor Moses who was overlooked during Sunday Oliseh’s era owing to injuries and lack of regular playing time for West Ham United.

Also recalled are former Nigeria U23 defender Chibuzor Okonkwo, Daniel Akpeyi and Aaron Moses.

Others invited are captain Ahmed Musa, Mikel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, Odion Ighalo, Godfrey Oboabona, Elderson Echiejile, Moses Simon, Carl Ikeme and Efe Ambrose.

Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Prince Aggreh, Chisom Chikatara, Austin Oboroakpo, and Femi Thomas top the list of 22 players from the Nigeria Professional Football League.

However, returnee Obafemi Martins, Chima Akas, Leon Balogun, Rabiu Ibrahim, William Troost Ekong was excluded from the squad that would try the Pharaohs’ for size in the make or break encounter in Kaduna.

The Mainz O5 defender has been overlooked in Samson Siasia’s first squad announcement ahead of the crucial double header against Egypt
One of the key players that were excluded from coach Samson Siasia’s squad for this month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches against Egypt is Leon Balogun.

Potentially Nigeria’s best central defender at the moment, Balogun was a key part of the Mainz 05 side that defeated perennial German champions Bayern Munich on Wednesday at the Allianz Arena.

Balogun kept Franck Ribery in check for most of the game as the visitors ran out 2-1 winners.

Interim Nigeria coach Siasia announced his squad of 42 players on Thursday, handing invitations to many of the players he led to win the Africa U23 Cup of Nations in December.

He also ignored veteran striker Obafemi Martins but recalled West Ham’s Victor Moses as well as Aaron Samuel while offering a first time call up to Fanendo Adi of MLS side Portland Timbers.
