Wow, good to finally register mY presence after watching from d sidelines for over a couple of months .well, everyone should welcome me the newest baby of the family.I m delighted to be part of this thread,I ve known abt forex as far as 2007. I regretted not following it up after attending a seminar( which I paid a fortune for). Any way its better late than never, whenever I open dis thread some names always come to mindt(rozayx5,ufotoku,naijababe,piponomics)even though I don't know them they inspire confidence. That success in forex can be a reality to virtually anyone, once u are determined to pay d price. For me one of my challenges wud be trading from my office (9 to 5 things) keeping one eye on my laptop and also discharging my duties viz a viz watching out for my boss as well. I know soonest I 'll be bold enough to resign and trade from home. Lastly , don't ever forget losing is part of the game.winners never quit...... Frawzey |
Crime / Re: Landlord Attempted To Eject Tenant With Snake by vxtr(m): 8:02pm On Jan 06, 2013 |
tpapi: I support d landlord 100%,some tenants r terrible n troublesome, the tenants do not want to pay rent n also do not want to leave d house, they want d landlord to take dem to court so dat the case would be adjournded for almost one or two yrs just to allow the landlord to waste money on court case, some tenants cud really be troublesomeu must be high on dry weed so u agreed it is right for d landlord to drop a live snake in his tenant apartment, if anybody try dat with me i will use cutlass to finish both d snake and landlord, no need to call d police then claim self defence. I hate snakes with perfect hatred or do u think snakes na dog or goat that u can hang out with. I am not supporting d tenants either cos i know most are troublesome esp igbos but not all igbos pls cos i ve them in my house. The landlord should ve devised better means of dealing with his tenants. 1 Like |

There is nothing u wont read on nairaland, most of the comments here about land ownership is just laughable. For example yorubas own lots of properties in the uk &usa, but yet do they claim those places as their own? Somebody said more than half of the properties in lagos belongs to non yorubas,i dont know where u got the statistics from, why dont u go to the land registry at alausa, come back and give us updates. A piece of land(purchased with c of o) will always go back to the government after a period of 99 years. So in reality landed properties are not really sold but are a form of contractual lease agreement between the goverment and an individual/corporate body . So saying lagos belongs to the non yorubas is just laughable and smirks of ignorance... 1 Like |

I dont like to sound like a tribalist but if one enquires further these guys would be from anambra, the wealthiest part of igbo. They wil claim bizmen/importers after they don hammer big time, their desperation for money knows no bound, to them is either you get rich anyhow or die trying. They even believe they are more blessed than other parts of igbo, and wil remind them contemptuosly at the slightest provocation. While generally they have this mentality igbos are superior to yorubas(who are 'jealous' of them) and other tribes in nigeria. |

Thumbs up acidtalk, ve been following some of your recent post on entrepreneurship, nice one keep it up. Let me also contribute by saying an entrepreneur's most important task is creating high quality stable jobs esp in this recession era while an employee is only interested in seeking out jobs that offer better remunerations. So ultimately the entrepreneur aims at financial freedom while the employee job security. |

Okija_juju:easy man, i knew it wud be foolhardy arguing unnecessarily wit an ignoramus like u. D God i m talking about is not called d jewish god neither does He call his own slave as u claimed, He is d Almighty God that created all things. So i dont give a damn about d jews, cos majority of them dont even believe in Him, but rather take to judaism. Ur kind of mentality is not only barbaric but retrogressive, d type dats kept our fathers in bondage , sacrificing the blood of innocent twins and virgins on evil alters,d gods dat kept them in ignorance, darkness and abject poverty while d rest of the world continues to make progress but d black race being left behind. Like i said earlier all humans are equal before God ,cos they are all born of women except adam ,they shall as well die and turn to dust. More importantly they shall stand before the Almighty God to give account of their lives including d so called corrupt pastors u made mentioned of. So get dat into ur deluded skull and serve ur creator. I dont think i wil answer u again, lest we derail d thread, but if u want a challenge open another thread...... |

@okija juju, are u bleeping serious ? So u believe so much in the gods , and which god or gods are u talking about ? U must be living in the village ,in the innermost part of the east. But seriously i thought the gods are all dead.Nwokem why dont u believe in the Alimghty God and dump all these ur bleeping lesser gods ? Also, ur idea of deifying mere mortals in the name of oba/igwe is a huge delusion of the black race. All human beings are equal as far as God is concerned, d americans undst this and thus boldly enshrined it in their constitution, no wonder they lead the human race in all spheres. I cant believe u assume a fucking human in d name of an oba/igwe can kill a fellow human in d public with impunity.comman man grow up dis is 21st century, lest i forget dis ur traditions were enshrined by deluded, ignorant fellows like urself. Top Dog: Ignorance is bliss. Kinda amazing reading different opinions on the appropriateness of a graduate earning a living thru driving. For crying out loud, wat is the value of the paper qualifications Nigerian graduates carry about town? How many countries recognise dis worthless Kpali dey brag so much about? Truth be said, most of u are unemployable, lack work skills and etiquettes. Even Dangote has to train the supposedly "Graduate drivers" in question. Yet some are still deceived by the scraps they call degrees gotten from dilapidated schools that are nothing short of being glorified secondary schools. Most of the graduates that are against this scheme would gladly prefer to do dehumanizing menial jobs abroad, yet their ego would not allow them be a truck driver in Naija. What is the essence of ur degree if it can't feed u,cloth u, and allow u solve ur basic needs? Most would prefer to be liabilities and parasites on their parents rather than do a job that can take care of ur needs.ur two pence is worth $2m, but hw come ur user name is top dog, it shud ve been top guru, anyway a dog is also intelligent. One love. |

Politics / Re: Fani-Kayode: Yorubas Won The Civil War For Nigeria by vxtr(m): 12:44pm On Aug 14, 2012 |
The problem with some Igbo sons is that they believe they are smarter than others. Zik reneged on several agreements with Awo pre-independence, Zik was part of the government that jailed Awo, yet Awo should have supported Biafra. It is important to contextualize Awo’s actions before and during the Civil war. To do so accurately, one must scrutinize the actions of all parties pre-Independence, post-Independence, and pre-Civil war. In 1957, the Governor-General, Sir James Robertson, gave the three regions the choice of self-autonomy and independence but it had to be a majority decision. Awo voted for independence for the Western Region, Ahmadu Bello said the North wasn't ready for self-governance and would prefer to remain under British rule. Zik voted to put off Independence for the Eastern region, preferring to wait for the North to be ready. Zik had the choice of a country for the Eastern region but he wanted Nigeria at all cost. Similarly, at the same constitutional conference in London, Awo wanted a secession clause inserted into the constitution but Zik and Bello refused. Guess who would later want secession. Now fast forward to the general election in 1959. The North won the most seats in the house. Awo offered to join a coalition with Zik, with Zik as Prime Minister (the PM had the real power) but Zik preferred to form a coalition with the North and accepted a redundant position as Governor-General with no real powers. When Zik aligned with the North in 1959, guess who got most of the ministerial and administrative positions allocated to the South? Yes, you guessed it, the Igbos. The Yorubas and other Groups were left on the sidelines until Akintola broke away from the AG with the help of who? Zik and Okpara who thought that Akintola would defect to their party but played a fast one by preferring to form his own party and aligning with the North. Now when the situation of the Igbo changed with Akintola joining Balewa's government with positions held by Igbo now going to Akintola's supporters, what do you think happened next? Coup by Igbo officers. In 1962, there were problems in the Western Region between Awo and Akintola who both belonged to the Action Group. Akintola was sacked but due to actions of NCNC (Zik's Party) members, the removal of Akintola wasn't effected. Balewa and Zik imposed a state of emergency on the West because of chair throwing in the Western House yet there were no states of emergency in the North and East for far more violent actions on the streets there (the TIV crisis and the Okrika riots). Awo was subsequently jailed on trumped up charges. Now after the imprisonment of Awo, Zik thought that his party NCNC would take control of the Western region but Akintola decided to form his own party (NNDP) rather than join the NCNC. In the elections of December 1964, NNDP took control of the Western region. The NCNC cried that elections were rigged. According to Fazil Ope-Agbe (Akintola's right hand man), the ensuing mayhem in the West was sponsored by Okpara and Zik. With the AG in retreat, NCNC calculated that if Akintola's party fell apart, the NCNC would be in a position to pick the pieces. This is not far-fetched considering Zik's antecedents in the West. With Akintola holding firm, NCNC didn't gain the advantage it sought. One year later, a group of officers who were predominantly Igbo, executed a coup that eliminated leading politicians and officers from the North and West. Despite the murder of these Northern and Western leaders, the Northerners, who were senior partners in the coalition with the East, picked another leader, Dipcharima, to replace Balewa. The East, even though it was the junior partner, had selected Madiwe. When the North refused to budge to this proposal, Nwafor Orizu, chose to handover to Aguiyi-Ironsi another Igbo man and in the process, Nigeria’s nascent democracy was truncated. Awo was imprisoned on trumped up charges by the Balewa/Zik government and thrown in prison. Awo wrote to Ironsi in March 1966 requesting to be released from prison but was obviously ignored. Awo would later be released from prison by Gowon and driven home in Murtala Mohamed’s car. Despite his time in prison and his political difficulties with Zik/okpara, Awo would assume the role of a statesman and try to find a solution to the impasse between the North and the East. That speech by Awo to the Western regional house was a very noble one. Awo would also travel to Enugu to advise Ojukwu against armed conflict. So putting all these into consideration, would any sane person expect Awo to simply just follow the East in a secession bid? Awo's loyalty was to his people. He did what he felt was best for his people concerning the circumstances. Despite all that, Awo advised Ojukwu not to go to war. When Awo offered to organise a meeting with Northern officers, Ojukwu replied, 'On the specific question of whether ther bless u man. 1 Like |
