Which sort of thread is this na? More like fuji house of commotion. You people should be calming down and let's wait for the next line of action from the recruiter o....
As you are knowing someone with high scores, you should also know that :
1. Course of study will play out.
2. State performance will play out.
3. Federal character will play out.

Many other factors will still play out. It ain't just about scores.

Virtual? ...that I can't say. But NNPC interview was one-on-one at the NNPC towers Abuja.

A candidate was interviewed by a panel of about 5 to 6 people... which lasted for about 10 to 20 mins.

The interview was based on one's profession + situational questions + safety +...

Each day has a template of questions for respective professions.

The grading was done during the interview and summarized by the 'head panelist'.

The interview ran for about 10days in a stretch....

Hope this helps.... Generally, pray to be invited! When you get to the bridge, there must always be a way out!

Cheers!!!

bukhety:
Pls for those with experience with the NNPC interview, what should we expect in case we are called for interview. How should we prepare? Then should we be expecting a virtual interview?

How can an EH candidate score 96% in that exam in one hour? Practically IMPOSSIBLE!!! Any EH that scored that high saw the material before the test.... I wrote the test the second day, my score was in the range of Nigerian 'B'. The test no be here.. with your brains alone! Well structured! It was designed for candidates not to finish.

I wrote the NNPC EH exams last year, I finished in a record time. I had about 15mins left. But this NCDMB test, I couldn't finish!

So, anyone telling you he scored 96% in that test must be Albert Einstein!

Preshob:

And you believe that he/she must have scored that high through malpractices?? some people are just intelligent trust me

GTs are fresh from school and as such, will have the basics at their finger tips.

Non of these stuff flying around might actually come out.

Just prepare yourself and make intelligent guesses where necessary!

In every recruitment, not everyone gets in. Keep pushing, one day one go click for u!

Good luck guys!!!

Bro it’s normal. Some of us here are very good in calculations but very poor in English (you can count me among them).

Some are average in both calculations and English while some are very good In English but poor in mathematics.

Only few of us are good in all fields.
In your area of strength make every point counts. That’s my advice.

You are not given power in the question, it says R = 4W.

Justice102:
Refer to the three formulars of Power.
One of them, solves the question without knowing the Current. P=V square/ R

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: OilandGasJobs Recruitment 2020 by vyke2008: 10:08pm On Oct 18, 2020
The questions has two variables: Voltage, V and Current, I.

From ohm's law, V = IR.

The R in the question has the unit of power, again wrong!. If we assume that as a mistake, then R as 4 ohms.

Two 4-ohms in parallel = 2-ohm effective.

Then again, V = (2*I)... current, I, should have been given.

Amazinggirl95:
For the intelligent onces,in ohms law ,What becomes V if we use 2 resistors of 4W in parallel?
A. 2.66 V
B. 6 V
C. 12 V
D. 24 V

Pls who knows the answer and pls calculate it..tnxs in advance kiss

Well, I have read through all the gists here.... I can't help but laugh.

My People,

1. Don't worry so much about the number of invitees. Immediately after the test, the number for interview is determined. It's just a program!

2. Revise basic arithmetics, simple mistakes in English (written and spoken)... And some current affairs esp. Nigerian polity!

3. Some basic applied maths and elementary physics

4. Guard yourself with prayers!

*** this exams won't be too different from the last NNPC CBT. So many applied, about 60k were invited for the CBT... and less the 10k made it to the interview stage!

What will be will be... las las, we go dey OK!!!

Good luck folks!!!

*NB, during the exams, any question that wants to try you or fall your hand... pls DO NOT ignore it... I propose you make an intelligent guess! It works like magic!!!

Once again, good luck!!!!

Why ask him? Is he the GMD of NNPC?

adeakin777:

Hi ElasticStone, I appreciate your contribution on this thread. I think you were one of the successful GTs recently recruited by NNPC and would be privy to some pertinent information as an insider. Some other monikers have asserted that the exercise has been cancelled for EH. I just have one question for you, from your quote on 'no good news', does it corroborate the cancellation rumors? Your kind response will be appreciated.

It really doesn't matter what anyone says right now.

The truth is that there's an internal exams for promotions.... and the exams would be conducted soon.

We pray, whatever be the case... Let GMD release the EH list, and even so let our names be among the selected few!!!!

**More importantly, let it happen anytime from now till the end of the month!!!!!!

This is good. I know one or two persons would benefit from this. Thanks a million. More grace!

NigelCundy:
I acquired skills in tech and there are tons of fields that one could explore. I wouldn't want to say exactly the field I chose so it doesn't influence someone and they end up not getting what they expected. For instance, you can explore coding, design, data and see which of these fields align with your skills and interests.
Develop by taking courses on learning platforms like coursera, IBM, Udacity etc, watch YouTube videos (highly recommended), and most importantly work on personal projects to develop your portfolio.

Once you have a portfolio, even if it's one project, make sure people know what you do. Don't be ashamed of your work or be intimidated by others who have started before you, there's always someone who will be willing to take a chance on you, but they have to know you first. So, hype yourself everywhere on social media while you're developing yourself.

Good luck.

Would you mind to share with us the kind of skills you acquired that gave you the jobs and projects.... Others might also benefit from your experience! Aluta continua!!

We are waiting...

NigelCundy:
Hey guys, I thought I should come back to share my story for those who'll come here in the future.

Some months ago, I was among the hopefuls waiting for the almighty APL. I literally centered the whole of my existence around something so uncertain... do I regret? I'm not even sure because the experience I gathered from this thread pushed me for what's to come.

When the APL came, my name and that of my 3 friends from OAU who'd attended the interview were all missing. The difference was they all had good jobs at the time, but I was at home bantering on twitter and nairaland hoping luck will shine on me. After people started getting mails, my depression started setting in, I was grieving the APL that never came! I was sad, tired, and ready to give in to terrible thoughts. After 48 hours, I picked myself up and said F**U**C**K** it. I withdrew from everything and went back to the learning I was doing in tech before the obsession with nairaland and APL.

Five months later, I made my first million from a project I secured...from a client in the UK. Worthy to note that this was my first paid project. Then, last night, I got a remote job with a company in the UK where I'll be earning what I couldn't have imagined I would some six months ago.

So, I woke up this morning remembering that period when it was like my life had come to an end over an uncertain thing...an APL. I decided it'll be criminal not to share my story and I hope someone finds this experience of mine valuable and move on in life....even while you're waiting.

Thanks to everyone that made those months of waiting interesting: the associations for their banter and oga Jarus for his constant help.

Stay Safe!!!!!
