I didn't want to grant you a response cause I see how shallow minded you portray yourself to be. If you think I was hell bent on working with NNPC or Ecobank thereby sitting idle without taking advantage of other opportunities that arise, then the joke is on you.

"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." Hebrews 10:35-36. It is well!

A1grade:
Bro the situation is only in God's hands. If I play my record for you, hmmmmm. Being from a family that is struggling, my parents managed to see me through school. After graduation in 2007 with a 2.1, all hopes were high and everyone was looking up to me because I was the first child of a family of 6.

I have gone for interviews in almost all the companies in Nigeria, Shell, Chevron, Mobil, Total, Saipem etc and nothing still happened.

In 2013, I got a job in a bank. In fact I was given a staff ID and was sent to a training school. But at the end of the training school, three of us were replaced by three people who joined us midway into the training school. Mehn, you needed to see the way I was crying at the bank's headquarters, begging them to reconsider their decision, that I did excellently well during the school. In fact my class mates in the school couldn't believe their eyes that I was dropped, cos I was one of the best, if not the best in the training school, even as an engineering graduate. But I picked myself up and moved on.

Toward the end of 2013, I applied for the Nlng graduate recruitment. I passed the first and second tests as well as the assessment centre. In fact after the assessment centre, regret mails were sent to those who were not successful and I wasn't sent any. In fact the mail I received says that they would get back to me pretty soon. Boy I was so excited. I thought that was the last straw that would break the camel's back. But lo and behold, after about 2years of waiting, they sent invites for medicals. I wasn't sent. The mail they sent me says " though your performance was commendable, however we regret to blah blah blah". That was the worst time of my life. I became so devasted that I refused to eat. In fact I swore that I was not going to serve God again, that he doesn't care about me. It was terrible. How I managed to pick myself after that still baffles me today.

Since then I had become reluctant to apply for jobs. I later got a job in a servicing company but some of us were dropped after some time, cos of the fact that the company lost some of its contracts during the periods of upheavals in the oil and gas industry.

Now I am teaching in a private school, preparing candidates for IELTS, SAT and TOEFL. Yes I make some money but it's hardly enough cos of the responsibilities I have on my shoulders. My parents are aged and my younger ones who are in school are all dependent on me. What is more? I am married with 3 kids.

Sometimes I feel so frustrated to the extent that I feel life is not worth living. All my classmates, when they see me, the don't believe I am still on this level, cos I was always at the top of my class and I this kind of versatile guy who can do well in any discipline.

However, I still believe I will make. I am still struggling to improve on myself. As someone who is knowledgeable in production and well engineering, I have done certifications. And I believe that God will one day pick up my call. I am also an Nnpc hopeful.

So guys, learn from me. If I am still kicking and hopeful, please don't give up. It shall be alright. Although I am still pained at heart that I can't take care of my parents who deprived themselves of comfort just to send me to school. People laughed at them for not wearing good clothes. But I can't care for them the way I should. My heart still weeps bitterly. But I still remain positive anyways.

Same and frustrating!

Rafiq2:
This is a harmless questions.

Please why does the Nigerian government & her parastatals advertise for vacancies that won't be needed till a year or two after.

P.S, am not blaming anybody but just want to know cause, like this kind of thing seem normal here in Nigeria, DPR, TCN, NPA Customs, civil Defense, prisons etc.

Is it lack of proper planing, budgeting or what. they also never communicate or give updates on what's going on, just silence & rumours everywhere.

The only exception are the Army, Navy, Airforce, FRSC & d NPF.

I know there are lots of unemployed youths to fill up spaces but wouldn't the best candidates just move on to better places or countries when delay is too much.
I wonder how it goes in other countries sha

How can I like this post more than once? Local man is very pleased with this post... May we all rejoice soon, IJN!!!!!

nihelimitretep:
If you are waiting for APL by March, 2020, why are you still here, 2019??

If the recruitment exercise is cancelled, why are you still here??

If they would commence another recruitment by next year and you know you will apply, what are you doing here??

If your source is 100% that it's only 2 people that will get the APL on Nairaland , and you are one of them, plus the GMD's son's friend here on Nairaland. What are you doing here? At least you have an "assurance "

But, if you're hopeful like myself, positive and optimistic, please, remain steadfast. There is no harm in being positive.

Thousands left Egypt and many never believed, so they did not see Canaan, but, two positive minded kids, against all odds, made it to the promise land.

APL is very nigh.

If you check this with all emails you've received from them you'll know. There is a consistency across board in all their emails. Some tiny details..... I immediately thought it was photoshopped. In fact when I'm bored maybe I'll do a very good one and show them how it's done grin grin grin grin

No need for these plenty assignment to your friend.

Just ask him to check the account number of the person that sent TFare for you. Just tell him the amount and the date you received it. He will call up your account and verify the account number for you.

Then you will compare it to the account asking for refund.

If the accounts tally, then refund otherwise keep enjoying dude!

Morning house, me a double alertee but didn't receive any call nor message, but a friend of mine in kebbi was called that he was paid twice he should refund d money unfortunately he send it back before contacting me...Come to think of this

1. I didn't receive a message nor call to refund the money, those that mean they don't know the people they paid twice
2.But how comes did they get our numbers demanding the refund ??

But all I want u guys to know is scammer is a lier me going to Access bank I have a friend there,he will check that account for me to know the existance, when they open it, which phone number is on the account etc...
Maybe I will be contacted with same message now since I indicated myself!! grin

...states and LGA ain't suppose to appear in your resume. I think we all provided state and LGA during the application stage. Recall?

DeSepiero:
I'm concerned guys!

Following the federal character in national recruitment (NNPC in this case) across states, does LGAs really come to play?

I didn't mention my LGA in my CV neither did I provide a copy of my certificate of origin.
I just mentioned my State of Origin.

Oga, who told you it was a mistake? They know how many we are... and an amount was stipulated, approved, and transferred to the appropriate quarters. If there was a mistake, you think they won't detect it?

Paddy, goan take some rest. If NNPC decides to double my alert, I would gladly enjoy it. Chikina!

yungmin:
In Nigeria, it is so hard for people to do the right thing. I'm just amazed to see some people condemning those who are writing to inform NNPC of the multiple payment. isn't this the right thing to do? As an applicant, NNPC doesn't even owe anyone any sum of money for T-fare. there is no law that stipulates they pay anyone expense refund for interview. So, why does anyone think it is okay to receive alerts multiple times without deeming necessary to report the situation to the organization? especially when you even realized that there are certain number of your co-applicants that were yet to be paid. We are all just like the corrupt leaders we sit in our home to condemn everyday.

Please, to whom it may concern, if you got multiple alerts and reported the issue to NNPC, I want to tell you that you did the right and honourable thing. Thank You

...come to think of it, how would one think NNPC as 'big' as they are can make a mistake by paying double or triple payments? 2012 recruitment, they 40k to PH folks... Now, 7years later, they're paying 20k... Shouldn't the pay rise with the increasing inflation in the country?

In my humble opinion, we should expect at least 60k as TP from the SS, SE, SW... an average flight ticket to Abuja and back from the south is about 60k.

May be they just realized, and decided to pay after approval...

Just my thought!

Good luck guys!

adeakin777:
Anyone writing to NNPC on multiple payments is just plain stupid, i'm sorry to say. The erratic payments by NNPC as an established organisation can/should easily have been detected by now, they honestly don't need you to remind them. If you were not on nairaland, i am sure you would definitely be unaware that some people were/are yet to receive payment. As a matter of fact, you'd assume as a norm that the streams of payments are being made in batches. If you want to display your modesty, kindly contact anyone who hasn't been paid and do a transfer, as simple as that.

FYI- I have only been paid once.
