your BB10 device downloads your messages based on your sync specification (whether you're actively using the phone or not, Facebook, twitter and other social media apps that are set up also do some updates in the background

you say chat...were you exchaging pictures and other files, viewing dp updates etc...those actions require data and BBM doesn't do the type of data compression that made the BBOS very slow and ridiculous

The problem with most of you guys is you hated the BBOS because it was not fast and could not keep up with the iOS and androids of this world..now that the bottle neck has been removed you're wondering what is going on but you like the fact that the BB10 is now very fast and capable of going head to head with the other platforms

you only just started using your Q5 and the phone is downloading your data from all over the web and updating the apps that came with the phone to the latest versions

you're comparing that with your android that has stabilized....not a fair comparison

BB10 devices don't use data more than any other platform...they use more data than BBOS but definitely not more than iOS or android

Chuksworld: the bb10 browser is fine but it consumes more data than the opera. I'm trying to manage my mb. The browser plays songs on tooxclusive instead of downloading it to my phone directly. Lemme download the 1mobile app first. *runs off

Chuksworld: Good talk bro. I recently bought the Q5, no problems so far but I don't know how to get interesting software on the phone. I have searched for ordinary operamini to install but couldn't get it. I don't also know how to start installing android apps. My os is 10.2.1.2102 SQR 100-3

I'm scared of doing any further upgrade on the phone cos I am scared of stories of malfunctioning.

the BB10 browser can give you everything you want from the operamini browser. it is actually a well documented and seldom contested fact that the BB10 browser is the best mobile browser as of today

if you must install opera, go to 1mobile.com and install their appstore or visit amazon.com from your phone and download the amazon appstore apk, install it and you will have all the android apps on amazon available to install

you should still get a few OS updates pushed to your phone...you're not yet on the latest official OS

The error you're getting is because you have either run out of data or you have messed with your apn

between a new tecno phantom F7 and BlackBerry Q5, which is more classic cos I have both but wants to sell one

This thread is for all bb 10 devices and there's really not much of a difference in all the phones software wise..the screen size is the major difference and anything that works on the Z series works on the Q series

The Z series are quite popular and lots of folks here use them. I'll be happy if more people like yourself who use the Q series frequent the thread to share their insight

That said, what issues are you having?

Z3 is the mini.. compare both specs on gsmarena...

The only caveat to your submission is that newer hardware was used in the z3 compared to the z10

If you do the maths yourself you will realise that 0.25% of 100k comes to 250 naira.

If you get 9% interest for 90days, that's really not a lot the bank is charging

you might want to look for another source to get the file from...it possible to source you're using has issues sending the file across the internet to your pc

just make sure its a real BB and it works (especially the touch screen)...not much else to check for

You restored settings from a legacy BlackBerry device. Yahoo mail on BlackBerry 10 doesn't use that server address anymore


Someone already told you to delete that mail and re-add and I will extend that you use the default settings as they appear. Don't poke around.

Just enter your email address and email password and leave everything else as default
