i don't think your OS version will be responsible...how much space do you have left on your internal memory on the device? try and move all your documents, photos, music and video files to a memory card and leave all the space available in the internal memory for your apps

Make sure your contacts are either on your sim or attached to your email. Any contacts not attached to those two channels will be lost

Tinablack: Help!!!!! My z10 is taking tooooooooooo long to boot. Imaggine booting fromm 7:30 to 11 and still on 98%

something is definitely not right with that length of boot up time. pull the battery and try again...you might want to keep it plugged in

i think i remember seeing guidance that the .700 leak is incomplete. check the last few pages of this thread..you should see a link to newer leaks that you can install

as mentioned, if you log in to BBID, and the person has not wiped the device, you will still see it showing under your profile...you can wipe your data or lock the phone, send a message to display on the screen of the phone or view the location of the phone on a map to a small degree of accuracy

Setting up email is pretty easy on a BlackBerry 10...

Swipe down from the hub, tap setting, go to accounts and tap 'add account' at the base of the screen

Follow the prompt and input your email address and email password

It should be a breeze

yes you can install a leak on any model...just make sure you get the right file for your device model

when the official OS is pushed, you will still get the notification

Set up mobile hotpot on another phone and use it to get past that stage. The device just needs to check for any available update and log on to your BlackBerry ID

This is an interesting angle...I have been using my previous glo sim card since 2005 and using the sim for bis since 2009 without any issues. i only changed it last week when my phone was stolen

PS: the PlayBook is now quite old in technology age so keep that in mind

abbyjo: @ walcom,i wish I understood it more, initially I tot it was my son who mistakenly deleted them and set a lock on the phone but it keeps wiping off from the hub every 2 or 3 days both sent and received mails and when I log in to yahoo via the Internet I wldnt find them. All mails from july 25th till date are missing,seems lik the hub auto reset itself or something
On sat I was reading a mail when it just went of n d yahoo box showed no entries in the bb10 hub.

the way BB has always managed emails is this..WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO DELETE AN EMAIL - you have the option of asking your device to delete from the phone only or delete from both phone and server. BB does not have the option of auto deleting emails from your account or purging your account. the only time BB manages your email for you is when you PRESS DELETE from your phone

the issue is from your account itself and you have to use a desktop browser to view what setting has changed

That's a simple problem. Anytime you try to do a search, just click the bing icon and you'll see a pop up list. Google is one of them

Please I still need help with BlackBerry Q10 emails prob, my emails auto deletes from the hub and the server, I have lost all e mails from july 25th till date.
Someone suggested I delete and re add which I did but am still experiencing same.

How's your BlackBerry responsible for your emails deleting from the server nah? No phone auto deletes email without you asking the phone to delete the email

i dont expect the PC to require internet for BB Blend to work. it will all be routed back over your device data when your PC doesn't have network

its a new BB deployment that will allow you to send text, email, BBM, view and update your calendar, look up and probably update contacts etc from a desktop when your BB is connected to that PC

if you're at work and your PC has blend installed, you don't need to pick up your phone to do most things you need to do on your phone....its all available from your PC grin

....it's going to be EPIC!!! cool

when you update and it involves a wipe, you need to visit BBWorld and reinstall your apps from your BBID profile...you'll see your apps under the available tab

BluePearls: Honestly I haven't experienced this, but I will test and give my own feedback. I think for now you should just sync from your phone to server. Just out of curiosity, why not try a Yahoo account and see if it sync both ways.

of course yahoo syncs both ways...the problem he's having is a result of one of the many sabotage strategies of Google to frustrate those who dont use android devices so as to give the impression that the android OS is a better OS

i see a number of people have taken you up on some of your posts...let me just highlight to you again that we take courtesy very serious on this thread. take a cursory look at any of the many pages of this thread and you should quickly understand what i mean.

this thread is exclusively for those who use BB10, want to use BB10, want to know how to use their BB10 better and love the BB10 OS. not because BB10 sells better than android or iPhone but just because we love the BlackBerry brand. we don't hold grudges against those who love and worship androids and iPhones but on this thread, if you don't fall into any of the categories above and you're only interested in picking fights and trolling, then you're most definitely not welcome

nairaland is freedom land and you can start a thread to trash BlackBerry from now till kingdom come but you can't do it on this thread
