It's either there's an error playing song or video or that the media player needs to close or something that I should restart. This is happening way too often. Is there something I can do? You might want to check your SD card for errors. Use a place to remove all your data from the sd card and format it. Then put back the files and try your music player again

I think it's less stressful for the other devices to just download the same apps straight from the appstore rather than you stressing yourself looking for an app to send an app between devices

Buy I'm sure you should be able to find someone here who can walk you through the flash share thing

I'm not sure you will find any high end smartphone not using the micro sim these days. All BlackBerry 10 devices use the micro sim

I just got my Z10 from Konga. It came with OS 10.2.1.2102 I wanted to upgrade it but it's telling me "you have latest software".
(1) Please, is that the latest version and if no, how can I upgrade it?
(2). I can't find Instagram in the application world. How can I get it?
(3) Also, how can I get android applications to work on the phone?

2102 is not the latest version and you don't need to worry...you will be prompted within a few days to download the latest version. you will need wifi

You can get instagram apk from an Android store...try 1mobile.com

it doesn't matter which of them you use...the important thing is you get your device and rock it

The next device is going to be called BlackBerry Jakarta. It's going to be a low end BlackBerry 10 and is expected to drop between April and May 2014

I decided to do a security wipe, and that resolved it, upon switching it on, the language selection changed to the country I am presently. And Holla, my flag changed too...

So if you are having issues with your country flag not changing, try to do security wipe, but make sure you back up first! Cheers

Device wipe is a pretty heavy step to solve that type of problem....like killing a mosquito with a hammer

I posted the solution to that problem in a previous post.....Settings -> Language and Input -> change region to the country you want and the Flag of that country will show

About the selfies and home videos.....wow! I have 2,849 pictures and 37 movies they can't all go into my m.card.. but isn't that the reason we buy phones with enough memory space?

it is the battery that is dying not the phone....you can get spare Z10 batteries to swap out anytime PHCN is dealing with you

in this day and age of HD everything...16GB internal memory nor do again o....that's why we have 64gb memory cards

firstly, you don't need antivirus on BB...the only thing that can be infected is your memory card if you insert it in an infected PC but even then, the virus on it cannot run so long as the memory card is in a BB device

if you must use an antivirus, there are a few on BB World.

connect your BB to the PC and double click the .exe file to start the installation...if you have a device password, have it handy...all the files on your internal memory would be wiped so you should back up using BB Link before you update your OS

your sd card is not affected so you don't need to back up or restore data saved on the sd card

that's the Z10 right? looks like you have brutalized the phone. you need that Z30 we talked about earlier in your life, like yesterday

Back to your observations:

1. the Z10 battery looses calibration after sometime if you allow it to drain fully before charging it and once it starts dropping on its head, the radios start dying...probably why it gets hot when you're on wifi or it could be that your wifi is not strong and the phone has to work extra hard to get you the data you need from the wifi router

2. if you have been stuffing the internal memory with all the awesome selfies and home videos you have been making with the phone, you should move them to the SD card to free up space...the disappearing act you have been experiencing could be due to the OS working hard to optimize the internal memory space as you run out of space

BB10 doesnt just come with android apps, you have to install them...
...with OS 10.2.0.xxxx, you need to sideload android apps that are not in BB World
...with OS 10.2.1.xxxx however, you can install android apk directly for apps that are not yet available on BB World...e.g Instagram

so are you on 10.2.0 or 10.2.1?

BlackBerry Link works with BB10 devices and BlackBerry Desktop manager cannot work with BB10 devices

once you plug your BB10 to the PC, you will get a link to download BB Link so long as you have internet access on that PC

usually when you connect your BB to the PC and you have BB Link installed, you will get a prompt to enter your device password...(device password is the password you use to lock your phone from prying eyes NOT your email or BBID password)

once you enter the device password, BB allows you to see your internal storage and sd card as 2 separate drives on your pc...you should then be able to open/navigate/copy/cut/paste files to and from them the same way you do any other drive on your system using windows explorer

BB is the world's greatest when it comes to security , if you don't grant the proper access you wont be able to see your drive when you connect to a PC

Deleting/Editing a wifi profile

Go to settings > Network connections > Wifi

tap 'Saved' at the bottom. you will see a list of the wifi profiles you have on the phone

tap the one you're interested in and edit the password to your new password

If long term then you might want to look to airtel but if short term, suck it up till you get back to civilization

The simplest method right now is to update to the leaked 10.2.1.xxxx. It allows you to install android apk files directly to your BlackBerry. In fact you can install an android market place and install from there as if you're installing from BlackBerry world

The next best thing is to side load using Google Chrome and bar files

I have put up links to the leaked OS severally on previous pages do if you're feeling adventurous, go for it. It's a 1gb download zip file. You extract the autoloader, plug your BlackBerry with a usb to the pc and roll

I think you are misunderstanding what i wrote, it is not the Q10 that is sharing out the wi-fi, it is the iphone 5s that is sharing out the wi-fi but am having problem tapping the wi-fi with my Q10 since i changed the Iphone's wi-fi password. Do you understand it now?

Delete the previous iPhone wifi profile from the q10 and start afresh. IT will give you the chance to enter the new password
