derbylicious: I'm torn in between Z10&Q5,been reading some pages on this thread.
I really want to get the white Z10 but lotsa peeps discouraged me,but I understand the gestures&getting around the phone frustrated them.A friend couldn't set her Z10 camera! All her pics are grainy et blurred...I love taking pictures,more like a picmaniac(if there is any word like that)!
Walcom,help me curb this dilemma as I have from now till saturday..I understand you use a Z10.

i use a Z10 and i have no problem with pictures...i posted a dropbox link to a picture i took on my Z10 a few days ago and all the pictures on this thread associated with my posting are from my Z10....i don't think any of them can be described as grainy or substandard in terms of quality. scroll through this thread to see pictures taken with my Z10 (actual camera and screen captures)

most people who don't know how and are not willing to learn how to use the phone blame it for all sorts of things. 90% of the time, the problem is them and not the device. that's why i started this thread to help people who truly want to learn how to use the phone to ask questions

i know lots of people who use the white Z10 and it looks fantastic many months later..

if you started experiencing the problem after you installed a leaked OS or any OS for that matter, you have probably installed the wrong OS for your device

kdf3449: Please just give me the APN you use on yours let me try it on mine. My APN presently is internet.ng.airtel.com while the username and password is blank. Is it correct this way?

All of a sudden,it has started pinging and browsing again oh ! What is happening to it?

the settings you have is correct...and like @ciwi mentioned, airtel has sent out 'network upgrade' text saying data interruption is expected

i use the same plan on an android device without any problem...i know lots of folks here use the same airtel plan directly on their Z10...

it's so funny how the age old paradox plays out every time...when people say they hate something, its always a lie...they actually want it so badly and if they can't have it they'd rather make it look like they didn't want it in the first place

So people, enjoy voice and video calling your iOS and Android friends on BBM from your awesome BB10 devices and for those who will be dropping their BB10 devices for iPhone and Androids, all the best to you

for the purposes of BBM dp, you don't need to do anything....when you try to display a picture on BBM, you get a 1:1 square and any section of the picture you focus the square on is what's displayed as your BBM display picture

that could be an OS thing..i suppose you're on one of the earlier 10.1....?

the point i was going to is that with 1:1 ratio, you don't need to adjust the picture before using it as a dp since the dp is essentially a square as opposed to the rectangular picture the 4:3 or 16:9 ratios give

another thing, do you take self shots with the front camera?...the rear camera is 8mp but the from camera is only 2mp....that resolution is one of the highest front camera resolution on the market but it is no where near as good as an 8mp camera

have u restarted the phone? if you were messing with OS updates, you have probably installed the wrong update and the solution is simply to install the right update or reload the latest official OS using BB Link on a PC with internet service

if you take a picture with the camera, set your camera ratio to 1:1 i.e. don't use 4:3 or 16:9. tap the picture and use the 'set as' option to make it your dp and lets know if its still blurry

yeah...nairaland doesn't allow picture attachments larger than 200kb...a 200kb picture is pretty low resolution

at 1200*768 pixels and 355ppi, i don't think the Z10 is lacking in resolution capability and very few phones boast higher resolution currently

i suspect your screen protector could be responsible for the blurry display or the actual picture being displayed is a low resolution picture.

you're not disregarding it

after doing the daily plan, you will be able to use your 6GB...we call it 'jumpstarting' your sim for BB10

Airtel is the best when it comes to data imo. They have made their data so simple and easy to use across all devices.

Like ciwi has mentioned, jump start your BlackBerry 10 device by doing the daily plan using the code

Airtel offers 6gb for 3K and 90 days validity followed by Glo's 3gb for 1500 but only 30 days validity

Etisalat and mtn are not considered by those of us here who want the most data for the least amount possible

Lol...actually of the 4 BlackBerry 10 devices, it has the least. The other 3 have even bigger battery with Z30 having the biggest followed by the Q5
