the BB10 devices don't require a restart to enhance anything...is there any particular challenge you're having?

not bad..it comes to about 0.54k/MB...pretty close to airtel's 0.48k/MB on the 3k 6GB but Airtel's 90days validity makes it the better proposition

Open BlackBerry World,
swipe down from the top,
tap setting,
tap general and
tap refresh BlackBerry World

Delete any version of whatsapp you have before reinstalling a fresh copy

I am looking to order a Q10 and other Blackberry devices from the US and I would be most obliged if you could clarify something for me if you can.
1. If the phones are branded, i.e AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint (American Network Providers) and not designated UNLOCKED, will I need to unlock them when they arrive Nigeria before they can be used on our local networks?
2. What do I look out for when ordering the phones so I don't have to go through the process of unlocking when they get to me?

1. Yes, they have to be unlocked before they can be used in Nigeria....Verizon branded phones are CDMA however...they won't work smoothly on the GSM networks
2. Buy them unlocked i.e. get confirmation from your supplier that they are unlocked

Don't tell me you fell for that crap..if they want to block bis on BlackBerry 10 devices, they will change the access not remove your data.

You'll be mugu for them if you don't demand your data back

You wasted your money subscribing to a dedicated plan. Just visit the bis section of airtel site for the code for the 1000 naira bis plan

You can easily deactivate your current midi plan so you can subscribe to the bis plan

Why are you worrying yourself about H and H+? At greater than 3G signal levels you see H or H+ or even 4G. That tells you you're getting 3.5G or 3.75G signal strength

All said, it's when you see the BlackBerry logo that you're getting bis data on the back of your signal strength

Remember, the main thing here is for you not to loose your data. If you deactivate bis, airtel won't wipe your data but I think the data validity period will still hold so you need to watch that space.

The most logical thing to do is to keep your data valid by pushing the expiry date forward with a new subscription

First of all there's no 3100 plan

There's 3000 for 6gb and 90 days validity and 100 for 1 day and 10mb

Secondly, define slow? You should be getting 3G or H+ signal but that doesn't mean the signal won't drop to EDGE on occasion

If you have not finished the data by the end of the cycle, make sure there's money on your line for auto renewal and your data will roll over

You'll loose anything that's not backed ie personal data like docs, pictures and videos but Dropbox and box net are native so you can use those two to save all your data to the cloud

Like you have identified, the problem is that leaked OS you didn't complete properly

The solution is to install a newer OS or the last official

BlackBerry Link on a pc that has Internet access will do it for you


Just plug your BB via a usb cable and look for the reload OS button

What do you need 2go for ? Si many IMs all over the place. I'm sure you can get by without that app quite easily
