Horladortune: I downloaded my own BBM for my iPhone dis night... The logic is very simple.. simply look for someone that downloaded his or her own during the time it was available, collect their apple login details... if u login with it to your phone, go to the application store, click on updates, after that page loads, click on purchased item... u will find bbm there... re install it, that's all i am a living proof...

that particular installation is tied to that person's ID and you will have problem with updating that app in future....but i guess by that time, the roll out would have been completed and you can download your own copy

Does it mean you guys don't check twitter or Facebook ? Bbm on Android was paused. If you have any version installed, you should delete it. It's either a fake or a beta version

Yea absolutely correct! One bb Id (android/iOS) to a unique Pin except its a blackberry phone. However don't forget to always back up ur iDevices

You're both right. The ultimate thing is the BlackBerry ID which in the best case scenario should only be one for anybody using a BlackBerry App, service or whatever.

The purpose of the pin is to shield email and phone number of the individual, that way you can interact with a stranger until you're comfortable with them and you are then willing to share email, phone etc with them

So for iPhone and Android users, one pin will be generated when you create your BlackBerry profile to shield your BlackBerry ID. With the BlackBerry ID, you have all your bbm contact backed up to the secure servers at BlackBerry and restored any time you log on to a new device with that BlackBerry ID

There's nothing on the first page of this thread that tells you to subscribe to MTN bis. MTN and Etisalat bis don't work on BlackBerry 10 devices, if you want to stay with those network you have to subscribe to their dedicated BlackBerry 10 plan

If you want bis freedom, airtel and glo are your two choices in the order listed

It's been really quiet here today. I suppose you have been following the mad excitement of iPhone and Android users who dis BlackBerry but are now panting for bbm...

Anyways, they have succeeded in breaking something and roll out will be delayed

Yes click new user but use your current BlackBerry ID and password

As long as your bis is active, when you put the sim in a BlackBerry 10 device the default apn will be Blackberry.net

If you change that to 'glosecure'? You should be able to access non bis data. Note that once you use up that data, glo will immediately start hitting you with pay as you go data charges if you don't change back to bis apn quickly

any BB10+PB owners in the house will be happy to know they can now bridge the PB to the BB10 to access BBM again

as you know, the bridge app on the BB10 didn't have all those lovely features we had on BBOS but looks like they are bringing them back gradually

BIS runs on bb.net apn and i suppose bounce will be running on another apn...you'll have to manually update the apn to access each

definitely, iOS7 will remove any jailbreak you have currently....i don't see a jailbroken iOS7 to pop up for a few weeks so you might want to hold off on the upgrade if you want to retain your jailbreak

pullleeeezzzz....touchwhiz apps and features are for samsung phones and are layered on the android by samsung just like HTC has layered their own Sense...all this boils down to freedom that is already well documented

...android and iOS are only just catching up on multitasking...BB platform has implemented really multitasking since OS version 5 back in 2009
HD games now very available on BB10
full unconverted HD movies play without a stutter directly on the device and when connected to TV
gif (animated pictures) run even on BBM, you can edit movies and time shift camera means your pictures are always perfect
Compass has been available for years on all platforms...nothing unique there
BB devices connect to HDTV wirelessly and with HDMI cable

you should get a BB10 device and try it out for yourself....
pls note that the BBOS and BB10 are two totally different OS...most people are still stuck in the BBOS space in their minds...

BB10 has completely erased all the features and capabilities gaps between the BB platform and Android/iOS.....because of the bad space BBOS has been in, apps developers are still a bit reluctant to go full blown on app development on BB10 and that is why some BIG TICKET apps on iOS and Android are still missing from the BB10 platform in native form but BB enthusiasts all over the world have basically created 'android port' of all this apps and they can be easily sideloaded to a BB10 device and they run smoothly

the android platform on the other hand is like Nigeria..you have the freedom to do whatever you like because there's no govt...you can do whatever you like with your device anytime you like, its like living in a jungle and being on the brink of chaos...

that doesn't mean i have a problem with android or iOS platforms..i have been using GSIII since June 2012 and i have used every release of iPod and iTunes software since 2006 but i'm just tired of seeing post dissing a platform by people who don't know jack just for them to feel good about themselves

almost all of the 950k plus apps on android OS are coded to be backward compatible with android devices running OS versions all the way back to even pre-gingerbread OS otherwise apps developers wont have the critical mass they need to succeed

ok, tell me something that is unique on the iOS platform and the Android platform that symbian OS or even the BB platform cannot do

dum dum...you have to convert the apk to .bar file for it to install on a BB....apk are for androids...there are many sites to learn how to port .apk to .bar from

infolekan: I paid for the MTN maxi plan. Haven't tried any other network actually but the MTN had been working fine for over a year till JUST after the new version. Thinking if going back to the 1047 as I seem to be the only having the problem
