Hi guys. Someone needs clarifications on the following:

1. Please, what is the easiest and cheapest way to obtain a dummy housing certificate or proof of residence for the visa application?
2. Is it possible to get a visa appointment earlier with vfs as the earliest days are in October? Thanks

Funny question, I’ll answer anyway

1- to get a very cheap housing certificate, u can visit livinfrance .com or travelgetter.com in France or
If you have a contact in France who can issue you a certificate.

2- New early slots have now been created and opened to book appointment within August.
If I’ve booked previously, u can’t reschedule .
What you’ll do is book a new appointment but add a zero to your passport number to allow you rebook appointment with the new released dates
It’s a valid vfs procedure

You don’t have to set up a WhatsApp group for Nigerians going to France as Campus France themselves will invites all successful Students to an meetup events and Add them to a WhatsApp group

On the period of Visa, there’s no constant timeframe for every body , it must vary and usually affected by
- your expected time of entry
- school resumption
- all supporting documents submitted

Which is different for everybody.

Expect a response within 2-4 weeks, for either it’s ready or a document is needed, else send them a mail

Lauriyz007:

Has anyone here gotten their France study visa from VFS Lagos? If yes, how long did yours take?
Also is there like a WhatsApp group for Nigerians going to France this September? If no, i would love to set up one so we can all keep in touch.
Travel / Re: Study In France - Process And Enquiries Thread by waleMac(m): 9:55am On Jul 17, 2022
It’s quite simple,
Follow the process:

1) Go to France-visas gouv.fr to sign up, fill the form then donot submit yet,
Why because CF will help you confirm that u’ve done everything documents well, so get the form draft online, take it to CF

2) immediately after the CF pre-consular interview, go back to the visa form to Submit.
Now you will get the original emailed to you.
Then I t will tell you to go book and appointment before proceeding

3) So open another tab, goto vfs.global > Nigeria > Lagos > book an appointment.
Input your details in the customer section, now choose the earliest appointment date and time also add additional services like SMS service with photo services (don’t add courier, Lagos is free)

4) Pay with USSD code by flutterwave, it’s smoother.. Once payment is made, u ll get a Reciept in your email.

5) Now go back to the France visa page to proceed. Once done, you will get another acknowledgment email too

6) Print out the three mails add it to your documents to be aubmitted at VFS

beltkid:
Hello,

Someone should please assist me abeg, I'm trying to book a vfs appointment but after making payment, I would get an email that my payment was declined. I have tried it twice, been debited twice and still get emails that my payment was declined, meaning my appointment hasn't been booked successfully. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

PS: I am reading on the VFS portal that I must fill visa form on official French website before I book an appointment. I have filled out that visa form on France visa website but I haven't submitted it, still at the review page (Because Campus France said I shouldn't finalize) could that be the cause of my problem. I have sent an email to my bank and also vfs but I don't think vfs replies promptly. Someone should assist me on what to do abeg, I need to book this appointment asap.

This is Really helpful.
Thanks.
This is the third Studapart recommendation I'll be getting, I guess they are the best available.

Yea, but studapart operation is smoother when u use their guaranteed service and thier Accommodation Certificate is pure

Plus, the most difficult part about france is the ACCOMODATION and the need to find a guarantor.

Use Studapart, it’s by far the easiest I’ve experienced.
- open account, choose your city or school,

- Pay for Studapart Gurantee service which covers your house guarantee and makes landlord responds well and faster

- Apply to houses: check the type (u’ll most like need a ‘Studio T1 apartment’ or a ‘collocation’
Check the availability and makes sure the rental starts like a day before your date of arrival in France.

- Talk to landlord in English, do video call on wA
- Pay for a month or two booking for an arrangement of 6 months or 1 year
- Get the ACCOMMODATION CERTIFICATE immediately by Studapart and sign agreement letter from landlord

finish

Good afternoon, I have preconsular interview next week. Can someone share their experience with me please? I mean the questions asked and how best to respond. Thank you

Thanks @Itzocy,

@Fatimar5,
The preconsular interview is mainly for two things.
- To avoid mistakes on your visa submission , they are to make sure your visa checklist and supporting documents are complete, for a smooth visa approval (if an error occurs or a document is missing vfs will not ask you to go back home and bring it)

- To obtain the Campus France certificate: which marks the end of your official business with campus France. A certificate that’s must be provided for Induction,CROUS, CVEC, OFII, CAF, CPAM etc applications in France (get it and take good care)

So, make sure your checklists docs are complete before going,

Go thru your schools website, under Programmes section, where your course outline, prospects and achievables is been summarized, u’ll find a lot of answers

and pls do not denounce, debase or insult Nigeria or Buhari, infact have plans for Nigeria in your questions, even though you may not really

You’ll be good

UARBIAFRAODUA:

But do this private schools work with study in France? because I don't know how to apply to private schools on study in France platform. Seems all the schools on the study in France platform has reached it's deadline.

By study in France u mean the “Etudes en France” platform

Like I said earlier, I still have till mid July to apply to private school : start now

Yes there are private schools connected to the platform with a parallel admission procedure

Parallel here means : you will choose the school on Etudes en France while you’ll apply directly on the schools website too.. so after your application is being considered, EEF platform will be notified and the rest of your visa application will be made easier by EEF in Nigeria

However, by now the EEF platform must have stopped accepting application( normal or parallel)

So all you’ll do is to Goto any private schools website, apply directly( make sure you contact them via their email: France love email, they responds- you will see

Once applied, and accepted, the school will send you a PREACCEPTANCE LETTER
then they may ask you to pay some part of your 1 year school fees
Pay, then u’ll get the full signed ACCEPTANCE LETTER

That u will take to CAMPUS FRANCE office in Lagos or Abuja, so they can register u themselves and give you an EEF NUMBER, which is all you’ll need from them

next is VISA procedure, Campus France should help you organize your documents too

Good morning, I'm a silent reader.God bless the Op and all the contributors of this thread.I want to ask, if I'm given a study visa, can I go with my child as dependent or do I have to apply for another visa category for her please?

Yes you can go with your child as dependent, however, during your visa application on France-visas.gouv.fr website, you would captured the child there and submit a proof of fatherhood in the supporting documents

Then in your account or sponsor bank statement, you make sure there you have double the amount you need for you stay in France

Once your visa is out, then you travel with your kid. The kid will require own NIN and passport.

Nice one, but I hope the IELTS doesn't have any validity period because my IELTS is 3 years old now...

If your IELTS is more than two years , please do not Use it for any French Study application

A letter showing English as a medium from ur University will also work fine.

Access Africa allows access to transfer money from your access account to selected overseas countries where France is among

please what is the visa success rate for self sponsorship

Lemme say it’s the best but only 99% if you block it in France,
Ure a student, two big questions come to mind, solve it and Ure good to go

1- How dyu fully fund urself for the whole of your stay in France

Your account should be big enough to accommodate
- The full school fees (not deposit), Accomodation (not hotel or airBnb rooms) and some Misc. for CVEC, OFII, Bank account, Stationery, Transport
- then you should have €650 x number of months of your stay ( at least 50% )

2- what’s the evidence that all the money in your account are not borrowed. It’s yours ?
- prove with bank statements money flow in and out (not a single transfer from anybody).

Hope it’s clear, either way personal funding is the best especially when blocked

If you’re studying,
It’s okay that the guarantor is not based in France, the fact that he/she is based in Europe (Spain) is even an added advantage. make sure the G is earning above minimum wage and has his/her account running

It’s not compulsory the guarantor is related to you, though related guarantor will speed up the visa approval

However, he/she must send you their last 3-month bank statement, sign a letter of consent ( campus France will give you that letter) I think there’s a Notary stamp u’ll add to the letter, then provide his/her passport Page

Note: it’s not just the balance of more than 4m they care about, they’re also looking at good or heavy flow of money/transactions in and out of the account provided during the past three months

Pls feel free to ask whatever is not clear

Politics / Re: PDP: Buhari To Use Nationwide Python Dance To Rig 2019 Election by waleMac(m): 8:46am On Dec 30, 2018
Python dance operation is not meant to kill voters.. there’s always some kind of security schemes during presidential elections everywhere in the world to ensure stability and due process. CNN and the whole world is watching d process too

PDP says it’s to intimidate voters.. if your brain works fine, then u should know that APC voters will also be intimidated if thats was the plan.
So after your university education, u believe seeing an army in uniform will not let Nigerians with PVC vote atiku or whoever they prefer ?

Illiteracy is Nigerias biggest problem
Politics / Re: Dogara: Trader Moni Is Direct Vote Buying by waleMac(m): 7:49pm On Dec 10, 2018
Nigerians need to think deeply before diving thier nose in politics.
If you call trader moni a campaign strategy or Scheme .. Its quite understandable coz its coming late. There are beneficiaries and market women who had achieved something with this in 2018.

Even with vote buying Saraki lost PDP presidential primary to Atiku... and Dogara ?, What can these bunch of thieves acheive without buying votes
