Politics / Governors Pull Out Of Committee Set Up To Push Presidential Ambition Of Emefiele by walemoney007(m): 8:07pm On Feb 19, 2022 |
Governors Pull Out Of Committee Set Up To Push Presidential Ambition Of Central Bank Of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele According to the governors, who have been allegedly joined by some senators in their decision to stay away from the committee, it was an agenda to propagate the 2023 presidential bid of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele. BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKFEB 18, 2022 State governors, who had been part of the 2022 Committee, an idea set up to fashion out a future for the county ahead of the 2023 general elections, have reportedly pulled out, citing a different agenda by the conveners, First Weekly reports. According to the governors, who have been allegedly joined by some senators in their decision to stay away from the committee, it was an agenda to propagate the 2023 presidential bid of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele. The state governors were said to have pulled out of the idea to avoid being tagged agents of Emefiele’s presidential bid. A state governor from the Northern part of the country reportedly called his Southern counterpart to ensure that the governors were not used as pawns and advised that henceforth none of them should attend the committee’s meetings or promote its activities in any way. Despite media reports about his intention to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in office in 2023, Emefiele has consistently denied that he nurses the ambition. The CBN governor's friends have since gone to town with a three-page advertorial in some national newspapers, where his “achievements” were listed, raising suspicion of his presidential ambition. It was gathered that some senators, who had been part of the deal, have also seen the wisdom in the governors' decision to pull out of the project. Sources revealed that one of the chief promoters of the agenda, a media guru, was using the agency of one of his former staff members to promote the group’s agenda. They are worried that if Emefiele, who has been unable to resolve the simple foreign exchange crisis since he was appointed CBN governor, how would he tackle the nation’s multi-faceted crises. Besides, they are of the view that if the committee is truly patriotic, it should have known that the CBN governor has since been under investigation regarding five different cases, personally ordered by the President, thus, pushing to succeed Buhari was nothing but a personal agenda. The governors said the political class could not have laboured so hard all the while only to hand over the leadership of the country to a clueless fellow under whatever excuse. Emefiele, who hails from Delta State, became the CBN Governor in 2014. http://saharareporters.com/2022/02/18/governors-pull-out-committee-set-push-presidential-ambition-central-bank-nigeria-governor |

Franking:I never said Tinubu owns the APC. Only dullards that believed Buhari died and was replaced with someone from Sudan will believe that Tinubu pooed or peed on his body. Hatefilled individual like you will never stop him from contesting, just the way Tinubu can't stop Ibos candidates from contesting for the ticket in the APC. |

Franking:Onu contested the ticket with Falae in the AD, while Ekwueme contested the ticket with OBJ in the PDP They were both defeated. Obasanjo didn't lose scandalously in the west in 1999 and in 2003, he won in the South West. You want me to believe the bullshit of Tinubu wetting his pant, just the way dullards like you spread the word around that Buhari is dead and have been replace by someone from Sudan? I'm not a foolish and dull guy, I dey always make use of my brain. Tinubu worked hard for the APC to get to where they are today, APC will likely zone her presidential ticket to the South, any Southerner that feels he is the best should go for the ticket. It does not matter who you will vote, the APC will never microzone to the South East, it not matter how much you wail on Nairaland. You should be more concern about PDP microzoning, you no even talk about APGA, you're here wailing about APC that has never won any presidential election in the South East. Wail to the PDP to microzone. |

Franking:Are you saying Fulani is the absolute majority in Northern Nigeria? The Hausa tribe is the largest in the North. And no Yoruba man have ruled under the APC, a Yoruba man will contest for the ticket of the APC. PDP should microzone to the East. And let Nigerians choose who they want. In all sha, a Yoruba man will contest for the ticket in the APC, it does not matter who ever the PDP give their ticket to A Yoruba man like Tinubu is ready. And he won't step down for anybody, it does not matter who Ibos decide to vote for. Ibos didn't vote for Buhari, he won twice. Tinubu has sacrifice a lot for the APC, is not fair denying him from contesting in the primary election in the APC. The PDP should microzone to the east if they want. |

Justiceleague1:I do not have the time to engage myself with stupid talks. In 2031, every Southerner from the south south, south west and south east will contest for the ticket in 2031 if a Northerner win next year If you want to kill yourself because of my statement, you're free. |

Franking:Why did power not move to the North Central or North East in 2015? Yardua was from the North West and Katsina to be precise... Why did power not even move to states like Kaduna, kano or any other North Western State back in 2015? There is only two region in Nigeria, the North and South. There is no time in the history of Nigeria that party ticked have been microzone... You can show me the time with evidence power have been microzone to a geopolitical region if you have sha. If we are talking about been fair Is it fair for a man like Tinubu, that have done and sacrifice a lot for the APC to be where they are today, to be deny of contesting to become the president of Nigeria? See, you guys can preach to PDP to microzone to the east, but preaching to the APC to microzone to the east is hypocrisy and no one will agree to it. |
