You need to go and read the Bible and understand both Old Testaments and New Testaments. oga that road is one of the safest roads in the entire south. I ply that road all the time. Unlike most roads in Edo state which are tiny and covered in bushes, this one is very wide and you can see at least 100 fts in all directions. OK thank you but I have only only taken one shot of the anti rabies, they said I need at least 3, so I was thinking maybe I could skip the remaining two doses because I don't really have enough money for them right now and the dog doesn't look sick or aggressive or anything. It's not chained, it's still walking around the compound with a lot of people around without attacking anyone or showing any form of abnormal behaviour

I tried to upload pictures but airtel is just bad right now. The one that looks like a little puncture(they said that's the bite) is not deep, I can press it and not feel much pain but the other two lines which the suggested was from its teeth is more painful

First of all...what part of your body were you bitten?
If its in your extremities(hand or leg)then you are in a better place than being bitten in the head or neck.The virus(if its there)would take a while longer to reach the Central nervous system and do its nasty work
For all its worth, did you wash the wound thoroughly?
If you did,good.
Now to other factors.Lets look at the dog.
Did you provoke the dog in any way?Did you step on its tail by mistake or inflict any form of pain on it that made it bite?Rabid dogs tend to attack unprovoked..
Was it drooling?as in foaming in the mouth?
Can you still see the dog?is it still alive...and healthy?
A rabid dog that is symptomatic will definitely die within days,although 10 days is the standard.
If you can see the dog,observe it for a day or two
If its rabid,there will definitely be signs everyone can see(biting imaginary objects,barking strangely,foaming in the mouth,aimless wandering...then paralysis which starts from the back legs)
Now back to you...
Which hospital did you go to?
Hope it's not a mushroom clinic?
Go to a government hospital
Anti rabid vaccine is a lot more expensive than.5k
And you need 5 shots
Where was this shot administered?Was it in the wound or near it?


Go through what I have written and answer the question.

Don't play with it because rabies is 100% fatal and a terrible way to die.

my left index finger. There is also some scratches on the middle finger. The scratches are deep and painful but the bite is very small and relatively painless. I went there this evening, I saw the dog, it was just strolling round the compound with lots of people around around it wasn't showing any form of abnormal behaviour or attacking anyone. It's not drooling.
It was sitting close to the door yesterday and I tried to touch its head.
It saw me this evening and tried to hide or something. I'm supposed to go for the second dose tomorrow. The owner of the clinic is a doctor, I think he works in one government hospital. They gave me the injection in my buttocks

na elderly woman like that I don't think she treats the dogs. The dog doesn't go out like that because I always see it lying close to her kitchen. Since last year. She said the dog bit her granddaughter about 2 months ago.
To be honest, if it were any other time for the past 4 years, I wouldn't mind if the injection cost 20k per one but I'm at the lowest point financially right now. So that 10k is kind of like a mountain to me right now
