Politics / Re: 'My Power Project Story' By Olusegun Obasanjo by WallaceDon(m): 11:44am On May 15, 2008
Hey My people there is no doubt that "OBJ " have increase the level of corruption in Nigeria.

Have you guys ask yourself when will Nigerian be good Cos these whole thing is effecting us especially those of us in abroad.
Most of you that have traveled to abroad will know what I'm talking about, we are not proud to say that we are from Nigerian due to our image /record before the world.

Anyway Ask for the God help in whatever u do.
Don’t fool yourself into believing that they will make you fair. We cannot stop them without taking action against people like OBJ and Co, let them know not to use any Nigerians.

Sooner or later Nigerian Former President Olusegun Obasanjo will soon face trial in D World, , Hopefully, Yar'Adu will change its approach by becoming more cooperative.

Travel / How About An Alternative Fuel, After All We Are The Great Nigerian!? by WallaceDon(m): 11:13pm On May 10, 2008
OBJ AND DPD wrote: Oil, gas, diesel: Oh, my God.

How about an alternative fuel after all we are the GREAT NIGERIAN!!!!?? In the 90's Gas was so cheap for so long that everyone sat on there asses and did nothing!!! They knew this would happen one day!!

A litre of fuel is sold at 11 Naira while it cost 18 to 20 Naira to produce. The Nigerian government began “deregulating” the fuel prices in June 2000, when petrol stood at 20 naira a litre, after the hike it jumped to 24 Naira and to 34 naira and still, sad angry wink
Nigeria's petrol price went up from around 50 naira to 70 Naira. sad

Please i want your contribution so fast before i publish my actiarticle
Politics / Re: Paying Taxes by WallaceDon(m): 9:38pm On May 10, 2008
You are right, cool

cescky:

of course id pay taxes if government will use it to provide basic amenities, however reverse is the case in this nation.it beats me these days why the lagos state government is raising dust about taxes, i really wonder why because i know many people pay their taxes and thers no amenities to show for it and the government wants to start arresting some other people for not wanting to dash away hard gotten wealth embarassed, too annoying when ever i hear the tax adverts.

If government will use it to provide basic amenities then let them open up because is very odd that the Nigerian government have not realize their past mistakes.

Odd Expressions:

I wonder if you could help me get the idea with some of these expressions that I have come across through the learning process of the language and haven't found anwers yet.

Cupid cannon foder

I made up a story to try and get a rise out of him.

Be in digs.

On the rant.

Cut and lose.

Eye-in-the-sky.

Time shifted.

Thanks in advance.

"Eye in the sky" is a term that has been used by radio stations to describe their traffic-monitoring helicopters. London's Capital Radio still has one by that name, I believe.

I hope I have helped you. Although do wait for other opinions to elaborate more.

Politics / Re: Re: Sean Bell Verdict Complicates Things For Obama's Candidacy To Win The Presidency by WallaceDon(m): 9:11pm On May 10, 2008
Senator Obama is related to the Sean Bell trial or public reaction how? We are all aware of Obama's ethnic background; but where does this article display his actual relation to the outcome of a trial? Senator Obama is not exclusively representing black anger, black justice etc, far from it.

Mainstream media has demonstrated that they do not care about the so-called tattered and bloodied union, His candidacy has been consistantly striven to be sincerely inclusive to all americans but he keeps getting reassigned to the: pigeon hole of representing a "race". The two other candidates are as related to, or not related to, the Bell verdict as Sen. Obama.

Titling you article: "Sean Bell Verdict Complicates Things for Obama" is unclear, unrelated and an odd, non-logical correlation at the expense of Senator Obama.

CANT OUR SENATE AND HOUSE OF REPS DELIBRATE ON MATTERS THAT CAN MAKE NIGERIA A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE INSTEAD OF TURNING THEMSELVES INTO ANTI -GRAFT AGENCY? ARE THEY SINCERE WITH ALL THESE PROBES?

Many Nigerians have contributed much about this particular issue but i wanted the Nairaland to treat this matter as well.

Sen. Chukwumerije, Said Nigeria senate must be careful not to be seen by Nigerians as backing the rouge so-call senator (Iyabo). She's all over places from $16b power probe, N300m scam.

Jokes Etc / A Man Checked Into A Hotel. by WallaceDon(m): 1:54am On May 09, 2008
A man checked into a hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send a mail to his wife. However, he accidentally typed a wrong address, and without realizing he sent the mail.
Meanwhile Somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned from her husband's funeral. The widow decided to check her mail, expecting condolence messages from relatives and friends.
After reading the first message, she fainted. The son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read: To: My Loving Wife, Subject: I've reached.
I know you are surprised to hear from me. They have Computers here, and we are allowed to send mails to loved ones. I've just reached and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival 2Morrow. cry

Religion / Re: Scandal: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome In South African Trouble! by WallaceDon(m): 1:29am On May 03, 2008
As you judge, so will you be judged" – cool

Unless one is well qualified to judge according to God's standards –having carefully studied Sacred Scripture with a real belief in and have sufficient love of God– one should expect to make false judgement with the consequence of eternal damnation. Those not in the grace of God, the unqualified, and the poorly qualified should not judge spiritually as the consequence may not be revocable.

1.) Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. [Lk. 6:37]

2.) Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words has something to judge him: the word that I spoke, it will condemn him on the last day, [John 12:48]

3.) It does not concern me in the least that I be judged by you or any human tribunal; I do not even pass judgment on myself; [1Cor. 4:3]

4.) Then let us no longer judge one another, but rather resolve never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. [Romans 14:13}

Only God can guide us in the right direction.
God alone knows the heart of a man. God alone is the judge. You can never , so bewildered by the actions of some wicked man that some people turn back to God, I can't.

SEEK YE THE LORD WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND cool
