PoliticsRe: ADC To Remi Tinubu: National Library Completion Is FG’s Duty by Wallade(m):

Nigeria is experiencing a 'Government of Cult Personalities'.

A truly democratic Government should have 'standing STRUCTURES' to implement Government policy, not One man and his Wife trying to be the structure, so they can take the Credit (and probably arrogate ownership), for themselves.

Nigeria is being STOLEN, right under our Noses. angry angry
How is this happening in Nigeria: "One man and his Wife trying to be the structure, so they can take the Credit (and probably arrogate ownership), for themselves."

Being anti Tinubu or opposition party member doesn't mean we should lose our sense of reasoning.
PoliticsRe: ADC To Remi Tinubu: National Library Completion Is FG’s Duty by Wallade(m): 5:10pm On Sep 05, 2025
From the response of ADC party, they affirmed that the National Library was moved to TetFund for funding.

Why is the ADC not directing an inquiry to the TetFund on the situation with the National Library and the need to complete te project and run the national library through the TetFund especially when Education Tax which is paid by all companies in Nigeria is operated, managed and disbursed by TetFund.

If Remi Tinubu or anyone chooses to donate to the project of National Library, that should not be an issue to flog.

A lawsuit against the government is possible, but who will do it?
All those legal luminaries, particularly the Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), wouldn't take this effort on Probono.

They would not take this up; all everyone wants is Income and payments. No one cares anymore, just get rich or die trying!
PoliticsRe: FG Defends Passport Price Hike To ₦100,000, ₦200,000 by Wallade(m): 10:43am On Aug 29, 2025
You will hardly see responsible, responsive and learned citizeds with reasonable economic power that would take up the Nigerian Immigration Service, Ministry of Interior and the Federal Government on this matter through litigation.

I did a research on the possible litigation and these are my findings:

Yes, citizens generally have the right to sue the federal government, but success in challenging a passport fee increase would depend on proving the increase was unlawful or arbitrary, such as if it violates a specific law, constitutional provision, or administrative procedure. The primary path to challenge such a decision would be through the Nigerian court system, likely involving a judicial review of the Minister of Interior's decision or an action against the Nigeria Immigration Service.
Factors for Success in a Lawsuit
Illegality:
You would need to show that the fee increase contravenes a specific law or regulation.
Violation of Procedure:
The government must follow proper procedures when changing fees. If they fail to do so, it could be grounds for a lawsuit.
Arbitrary and Capricious:
You might argue that the fee hike was made without a reasonable basis or proper justification, making it an arbitrary and capricious act.
Procedural Unfairness:
The process leading to the fee increase could be challenged if it lacked fairness or transparency.
How to Challenge a Fee Increase
1. Seek Legal Counsel:
An attorney specializing in administrative or constitutional law in Nigeria would be best positioned to advise on the viability of a lawsuit.
2. Gather Evidence:
You will need to collect all official documents, communications, and publications related to the fee increase, as well as the original fee schedule.
3. File a Suit in Court:
The lawsuit would likely be a form of judicial review, filed in the appropriate court to challenge the legality of the fee increase.
Considerations
Public Interest:
Courts sometimes consider the public interest when making decisions regarding government actions, but the primary focus remains on the legality and fairness of the decision.
Government's Justification:
The government's reasons for the increase will be considered. You would need to show why their justification is insufficient or unlawful.
In Summary
A lawsuit against the government is possible, but it must be based on a sound legal argument that the fee increase was implemented unlawfully or without proper justification. You should consult with a Nigerian legal expert to assess the strength of your potential case.

Nairaland was often covered with articles and posts about Senator Natasha Apoti Uduaghan but suddenly, I don't see news about her.

The last I heard was when she wanted to travel out of the country but she was delayed at the airport.

Does anyone know where and why she is hibernating?

I see:

3 Sales Manager
1 Interpreter.
1 Business Manager

These are not jobs that ordinarily should fall under expatriate quota because there are several Nigerian professionals that can handle that job.

Even the role of interpreter; there are so many Nigerians that speak and understand mandarins.

In most foreign countries, you can't justify such employments with the Home Office, Interior Ministry or Immigration Agency.

It is possible that tom boys get attracted to men or boys that looks or talks or behaves like a lady or girl.

The question is:

Would you like to date her?

Can you handle a ton boy in relationship - they often wanna act like a man. Their level of maturity may be high or they may reason like a man.

As for being it tradition for our govt to reward sporting excellence, I don't know who started it but OBJ gives national reward with handshake and no monetary rewards.

₦1M each to Scrabble Team members
₦57M to U-19 Female National Team
₦27M to Flying Eagles (U-21) team

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Displayed Naira’s Worthlessness With $100,000 Reward To Falcons – LP by Wallade(m):
Kalulu44:
Lolz, you're ignorant in this. The England women national team wasn't given any extra money apart from their prize money which was from the €5m they won and the FA took 60% of the money while the ladies shared 40% which amount to over £80k pounds each to the ladies. So in their case their monetary rewards was from the prize money and not from their govt or king.
Lets not also forget the super falcons and the lionesses gets their winning bonuses and daily camp allowances o.
It has been a tradition for every federal government in Nigeria to give cash or monetary gratification to national teams that win major tournaments, it was done under Obasanjo, Jonathan, Buhari and currently Tinubu.

The price money from CAF to NFA, in recognition of Super Falcons achievement, is a million USDollars. Why are you not complaining about CAF transacting with USD?

Convert the £80,000 pounds, given to each member of the England Womens National Team, to naira - that is about ₦163M. Then also convert the 100,000USD from the Nigerian President to naira, of which the naira equivalent is the amount payable to each Super Falcons member - that is about ₦160M.

The £80,000 given to the lioness each was tagged Bonus for winning the tournament, it was exceptional and separate from their wining bonuses and camp allowances. It was in appreciation of their contribution, irrespective of whether it was deducted from the money won from the organizers of the tournament or from the government.

In Nigeria and every part of the world, government can't directly tamper with NFA funds that were donated to them(NFA) and we can't be so sure that NFA will exceptionally gratify the super Falcons players on achieving the feat. Hence, the federal government took the initiative as a tradition.

Are you saying the Super Falcons don't deserve the reward? What exactly is your point?

It's terrible. No matter the angle you look at the president action it was reckless. It baffles me how some people still justify the action and it makes you realize that it's hard to fix Nigeria. 150 million for players and around 70 million naira for other members that won an Africa created tournament and police was protesting Cos of 2 million naira gratitude after 35 years of service. A country where most civil servant earn peanuts, some don't think how far 150 million naira can fix an area. And we say kidnapping should end and corruption. SINCERELY I BELIEVE THE PRESIDENT MADE A MISTAKE WHEN HE WAS TALKING BUT OUT OF PRIDE FIND IT HARD TO REVERSE HIS STATEMENT.

A very ignorant question in my opinion. Tinubu and his wife have spent hundreds of millions of dollars, hundreds of billions if not trillions of naira in foreign trips, donations, personal expenses like acquiring a jet, foreign trips, foreign medical expenses, bribing politicians, acquiring tasteful cars, building houses for their political supporters who hold offices, the monetary gifts to the super falcons, and much more. Zero accountability. How many individual Nigerians can match that? Tinubu has single handedly secured loans that will make you and your generations to come debtors to the tune of millions and millions of naira. Do you share in the debt of any of the 250 million Nigerians?

I see how you are using your brain to think. Keep thinking in reverse.

Coming from the same person that said people should not expect magic from Tinubu. Since the time of the late Buhari till now that the borders have been closed forcing Nigerians to patronise locally made goods and services how has it strengthened the naira? Imported goods are more expensive today in case you have been living under a rock. The naira continues its relentless decline.

I am now convinced you are just full of air, no substance in your argument...it is all gobbledegook. You are making up facts just to buttress your points that cannot hold water. Even worse, you ignore the extreme economic hardship brought upon Nigerians by your clueless president by which many businesses have inevitably shut down operations. How many average Nigerians don Brazillian hairstyles today? Are you ignorant of the fact that there are Nigerian companies that produce locally made jeans wears? Do you wear dashiki to a job interview or to ride commercial motorcycle? Why not channel your energy towards advocating for stable power supply, eradicating touts on the streets who are entitled to a fraction of someone's daily income, tax-friendly policies to encourage small businesses?

Again, your predilection to erroneous argument is telling. No matter how much Nigerians patronise locally made products the value of the naira does not rest in their hands. It is a product of the policies of the leaders and the central bank. Stop putting the responsibility of the naira's value on Nigerians. What is then the function of the central bank? Millions of Nigerians are not educated so why should they be blamed for the collapse of the naira while your central bank governor and your president escape blame?

Here is a screenshot for you.
Wait till your Messiah gets into the office of presidency and then correct all you think is wrong with Tinubu government.

Till then, we shall see what your Messiah can do and what you would be saying then.
