Without being unnecessarily emotional and sentimental, the question people should be asking is whether she has fulfilled all the conditions to merit her "storming" the red chamber come Tuesday.

Again, did the court categorically state in its judgement that she must immediately return to the Senate?

This is why the Senate is demanding for the CTC of the judgement in order to determine the next step to take.

After all, the Senate has the right to file an appeal against the judgement.

Whatever be the case, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan may end up prolonging and even extending her suspension if she continues to act in a manner that suggests recalcitrance.

Bulldozing her way into the hallowed chamber without dotting the i's and crossing the t's concerning her suspension may amount to an invasion and a continued act of insurbordination.

Tomorrow no far again.

Let's wait and see.

@hotseat
Do you know that if Natasha Apoti Uduaghan writes, on her official letterhead paper, to the Senate and apologizes to the entire Senate and the Senate President for her disruptive, unruly and disorderly behavior in the Senate on that day she was asked to move to her new seat

The next two Senate sessions will review the suspension and most likely recall her to resume.

If I am Natasha, when I am asked to resume, I will still request to address the Senate and personally tender an apology in person to the Senate.

She only needs to show remorse and be apologetic. She has to engage her colleagues diplomatically and be focuses on her job and not side attractions.

The Nigerian senate depriving her constituency of due representation is highly undemocratic
It is not about her constituency. It is about her disruptive, disrespectful, disorderly, combatant and unruly behavior.

It was a difficult decision decision for the Senate but they have a responsibility to uphold the sanctity and esteem of the Senate. She has to be punished to serve as deterrent for others who may wish to toe that line in future.

The Senate is not a place for kids and people who throw tantrums all over and get petty over seat matters and make false allegations to assassinate other people's character.

When a member disobey the rules and regulations of the Senate that is binding on all of them.
She disrespects, insults and throw tantrums at other senators including the Senate President. Acts disruptive and disorderly even during sessions in the Senate.
She went to the UN to embarrass the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with lies, misrepresentation and misleading information.

You still want and expect the Senate to take it lightly?

My dear friend

Natasha Apoti should not defy court order.

She must also respect constituted authority in the Senate.

She was not only ordered to tender an apology to the FCT High Court on 2 daily newspapers and on her Facebook page. She was also ordered abinitio to apologize officially to the Senate for her unruly, disrespectful, disruptive and disorderly behavior in the Senate just because her seat was changed.

Why is the Akpabio led senate feeling so big to obey court orders.
Asking her to render apology is like saying she is guilty and wrongly made allegations against the Senate president.

Untill it has been proven that her allegations are false there will be no need talking about senator Natasha apologizing .let her resume and start representing her people.
If the Senate president thinks the events of the day will cut down his Ego he should kindly do the honourable thing of resigning or be ready to learn from his mistakes.
Why are you trying to misinform us or misrepresenting the case.

Why was she suspended? Was it because she accused Godswill Apabio or she was unruly, disruptive and disrespectful in the Senate chamber on that day she was requested to move to her seat?

Most of her followers, and Senator Natasha Apoti herself, exhibit this same ineptitude and ignorance that you are currently exhibiting. Sometimes I assume you guys just deliberately try to twist the case and misinform and mislead the public to suit your narratives. Is that not fraudulent and criminal misrepresentation?

The senate should pardon this woman. They should obey the court’s order.
You only pardon people that recognize their offense (s) and take responsibility for their actions, show remorse and willing to amend the situation.

She has not been apologetic, remorseful or orderly. She has not even taken responsibility and admitted her offense in the Senate.

You are asking the Senate to obey court order. The court didn't terminate the 6months suspension, go and read the judgement again.

The only power that can terminate the 6months suspension is the Senate, that is period and certain.

Lol, now I catch you.

The judgement has not been released yet.

The judges gave a brief of the judgement in court but the full judgement is not out until this week.

Lmao.
Really!

Stop being confused and uninformed. It is okay if you don't know much about legal proceedings, just ask about what you don't understand so it can be explained to you.

The judgement is out already.

The judge must have read the judgement out to everyone listening in the court on that day.

Upon the final judgement, both parties lawyers can request for the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the judgement, by applying to court to print and issue the CTC copy to them, for them to study and understand the extent of the judgement and determine if an appeal is needed or accept the judgement.

The unsatisfied party has 3 months to appeal the judgement after which the judgement becomes binding on both parties.

Point of information: the judgement is pronounced and out already. It is the CTC that the parties involved can apply for subsequently.

However, from that brief that you probably read, what did you deduce?

Or would you want to laugh at your own ignorance and ineptitude now?

RomanceRe: My Fiancé Has Stopped Requesting For Sex All Of A Sudden! by Wallade(m):
jackals:
Our relationship just ticked the 1yrs 3months mark. I told him at the beginning that I’d love for him to propose to me b4 we start getting intimate as most relationships built on intimacy don’t last. He agreed. But as we get along, we eventually started having sex even tho it’s not how I pictured it. But I had to because I didn’t want him to leave.

At the start of this year, I made a resolution to stop giving in to sex and see how much affections he has for me looking at the fact that he’s not even asked me to be his wife. It’s always promise here and there.

If he initiated it, I always find an excuse..and most times he convinced me and I’ll give in. I won’t lie I know it’s hard because he’s had to initiate a couple of time which I denied and he’ll mostly beg and assure me of his commitment to our relationship.

However, I noticed since the beginning of the month of May, he’s stopped showing concerns. When he asked And I said no to sex, he will just say “ohh okay” and then sleep if it’s night time or pick his phone and off to gym. Nowadays he doesn’t even initiate anything nor ask for it. I asked him if he’s okay and he told me “he’s having some heavy back pain due to his recent workout routines” but I know he’s lying. He’s always like sex even after workout.

My intuition says he’s cheating and my friend confirmed same since her last relationship also ended the same way.

Tbh, I’d just stop getting worried about this and stop asking him since he’s decided to keep mute.
Tricky one there.

Let me ask: Are you Cohabitating? Are you guys engaged (I mean: has there been a proper introduction involving your families?)

However, I think he must have concluded that you have decided to start denying him sex so he is probably getting it somewhere else so he doesn't have to bother you. You have told us that he has always been the one initiating it.

Even if he gets it elsewhere, it may not mean that he no longer loves you but you need to discuss how he is able to coop with no sex with you, this will help you establish a conversation in that aspect and maybe he will open up to you.

You also need to subtly and consciously push for marriage proper so you guys don't get carried away from the goal, except you are not looking to marry him.

If he eventually bolts away and ends the relationship, please move on sister and learn your lessons. There will be other men out there who you could get as your husband.

"
The Federal High Court in Abuja has delivered a verdict on Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan's suspension from the Senate. Here's a breakdown of the court's decision ¹ ² ³:
- *Reinstatement*: The court has ordered the Senate to reinstate Senator Natasha, ruling that her six-month suspension was excessive and unconstitutional. The suspension was initially imposed due to her alleged misconduct during a Senate plenary session.
- *Contempt of Court*: However, the court also found Senator Natasha guilty of contempt for violating a gag order by publishing a satirical apology to Senate President Godswill Akpabio on her Facebook page. As a result, she has been ordered to:
- *Pay a fine*: Senator Natasha must pay a fine of N5 million.
- *Publish an apology*: She must publish an apology in two national dailies and on her Facebook page within seven days.
- *Ruling on Senate's Power*: The court emphasized that while the Senate has the power to punish its members, such sanctions must not be excessive and must not deprive constituents of their right to representation.
- *Next Steps*: Senator Natasha has vowed to return to the Senate, stating she will resume her legislative duties following the court's order ⁴.

The court judgement was in her favor that the action of the senate is illegal., that's why she's resuming.

You didn't read the news?
It is you and some media organizations, maybe sponsored ones, that think it is in her favor.

In my opinion, the court didn't opine that she can't be punished. The court expressly recognized the powers of the Senate to punish disorderly senators.

The judge only said that power to punish should not be overreaching. The judge went ahead to state that those powers as stated in the Senate rules and regulations should have specified punishment period rather than leave it open. The judge felt that 6 months is too long for punishment for reasons explained by the judge.

Go and read the court judgement

She cannot tender apology to the senate. All those have been overtaken by events

If the senate felt she should or must apologize they should approach the court.

She was told to apologize so they recall her back from suspension but she choosed to go to court instead of issuing any apologies and she won, clearly.
The court has no such jurisdiction to determine the activities of the Senate.

Make no mistake about that, the Senate has its rules and regulations, if a senator goes contrary to the rules, there will be consequences, that is the fate of Natasha.

She must take responsibility for her actions and pay the penalty.

Did the court excuse her offence?
Did the court say the Senate can't punish the disorderly senators?

Take some time to think objectively on the subject and stop being emotional about it.
PoliticsRe: Senator Natasha To Resume At Senate On Tuesday After Court Lifts Suspension by Wallade(m):

She must comply, it's a no brainer and she will also resmune because resumption is also part of compliance to court order.

There's nothing egoistic about court judgement.
You will be abreast with the news as it breaks:

The Senate will not reduce or terminate the suspension.

I can bet that the Senate will file an appeal. The Senate will:

1. First refuse her entry into the chamber or resumption in office.
2. Take almost 3 months to study the judgement.
3. Appeal the Judgement in a court of appeal, if need be, or assume there was no binding order of the court on the Senate to terminate the suspension.

This case may run till the end of Natasha's tenure as a senator of the FRN, except she does the expected - humbly apologize, become more diplomatic and respectful towards her colleagues and constituted authority of the Senate, irrespective of the private lives involving her family and any Senate leaders.

We honestly just want the senators to face their duty in the interest of the people and stop the drama and sensationalization of sex or rape or sexual harassment in the Senate.

She will apologize and pay 5m to the court.

It was a contempt of court and not contempt of senate. Senate does not have the power to bar her from posting on social media, as they are a party to the matter.

Use your number 2 nau.
You forgot that the Senate requested her to tender an apology to the Senate and Senate President for her unruly, disrespectful and disorderly behavior in the first place.

The apology is even the condition upon which the 6 months suspension will be reviewed.

Furthermore, failure to tender the apology within the 6 months would still translate to an extension of the 6 months suspension.

Insecurity has been a challenge for every government. It is not peculiar to Tinubus government.

Rising debt profile is normal, the debt should be channelled into infrastructures and capital projects that can positively impact the population and drive growth and development.

https://www.kjzz.org/the-show/2025-06-30/bbc-look-ahead-why-russia-and-china-wont-be-attending-international-brics-summit

EVERYBODY KNOWS THERE'S INSECURITY IN NIGERIA ESPECIALLY IN THE NORTH, BUT ZOMBIES THINK OTHERWISE, ZOMBIES SAYS NOTHING LIKE INSECURITY... WHOEVER NAMED THESE GUYS ZOMBIES SHOULD BE GIVEN A NATIONAL AWARD.

The President of Nigeria Tinubu of a country Nigeria that is not even a member country of BRICS left his people battling with insecurity to attend BRICS with zero value, and you lots do not see the insensitivity in it, Oh I forgot, Zombies don't have feelings.

PETER OBI WILL KEEP PRESSING ALL YOUR NECKS...YOU STILL HAVE TWO YEARS OF SLEEPLESS NIGHTS LEFT.
To the best of my knowledge, insecurity isn't just in the North of Nigeria. It is all over Nigeria and highly prevalent in the North.

Insecurity has been a challenge in nigeria since the the days of Obasanjo, Yaradua, Jonathan, Buhari and Tinubu.

Insecurity is a problem around the entire world. Every government endeavors to develop solutions to security challenges, internal and external security challenges.

I believe that the Tinubu government is also trying to develop, strategize and engage solutions to Nigeria's several challenges, including security.

Primary school education challenges with respect to teachers strike in Abuja is a constitutional challenge.

The payroll and remuneration of teachers of government pimary schools in Abuja and all states in Nigeria is constitutionally the responsibility of the Local Government or Area Councils.

Several efforts have been made by the minister to engage and compel the area councils chairmen to fulfill that obligation but for reasons best known to the chairmen, they have refused to comply.

The Minister of FCT even had to send them additional funds to ensure payment of the salaries to the primary school teachers but they still diverted the fund to another use.

The power is in the hands of the people in Abuja to remove the area council chairmen. The people (parents, teachers and stakeholders) can also protest at the various area council offices or Chairmen houses to compel them to pay the teachers salaries and remuneration.

You should not be blaming that on the FCT Minister or the president of Nigeria outrightly.

Peter Obi seems to be a content creator critic rather than a solution provider or senior citizen trying to foster peace, development and progress in Nigeria. He is sensationalizing challenges in the society that government seems to be engaging with strategies and efforts to solve.

Peter Obi can wait till he becomes president of Nigeria so he call solve the problems.

Being critical of the government is normal but we should criticize constructively with the agenda to prefer solutions, development, space and progress. Not to destroy, instigate rebellion, chaos and division.
