RomanceRe: What's The Crime In Getting Married Within The Family? by Wallade(m): 4:51pm On Jan 13, 2025
Kennitrust:
With the way the world is sliding down to a time where the unknown person is highly risky to associate with or to relate with, the family seems to be a more reliable place to find comfort.

The unknown person you gave your love and trust to may be the one to even end your life especially now that everyone wants to be like the other famous person without asking to know his source of influence.

This girl seems to be comfortable with me than anyone else she has met. She just wished we could be allowed to get married but fear if tradition will endorse us. We are related through our grandparents.

Is there anything wrong with people of this distance relation to get married?
Is it crime against the society,
Is it medically prohibited
Is it religiously forbidden,
For people within the family to get married?

Just curious to know.
Life itself is a risk so don't be afraid to take a risk with the opposite sex that you desire, even though he or she is not a member of your family. You are only advised to take calculated risk and manage the situation afterall the risk.

But to venture into incest(in breeding or whatever you call it), I am not in support.

Tell us the correct version where poverty symbolises godliness. ..is God, in the first place ,poor?
God Almighty is not poor.

However, you are not God, we are all not God. So we can be poor yet righteous through Christ

Oga if you didn't see the verses where their means of income and properties would be erased which brings poverty then I don't have anything to tell you.
Affliction came on Job and everything he had was erased except his life. He turned from Rich to poor.

I'm done with arguments since you refuse to see and comprehend what's bodly written.
What is boldly written?

Where did you see poverty in the verse or chapter? You can't point it out, you are just assuming and concluding.

You are already lying and that is a sin.

So when affliction came on job, he was a sinner? Are you more righteous than Job?

Chapter 28 from 15 down. All manner of inflictions which includes poverty, sickness and so on
I read from Deuteronomy 28: 15 - 68. I did not see where poverty was mentioned.

Poverty is the state of being extremely poor. It is the state of insufficient in amount. This is part of life and not a permanent phase in Life.

my guy what is now the difference, other things and all these things , things is things
"these things " is different from "all things". Always check the context of a statement you see in the bible or any document you are reading.

Arrowhead71:
And am telling you that this World will not be in chaos if Adam had not sinned and corrupted God original plan, and yes the genesis of poverty is sin in God kingdom
May be in the other kingdom of darkness sin may not be the cause of poverty, in fact you have to commit sin before you can be rich in satan kingdom
But when it comes to God , it is written “ seek ye first the kingdom of God and it righteousness and all other things shall added onto you “
Again, I disagree with you on this: "the genesis of poverty is sin in God kingdom".

Oga Mat 6: 33 - But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

That is how the Bible put it to us. Your own statement has given a different meaning. in the context of that passage, there were somethings that were in perspective, not necessarily wealth.

The problem with you and the pastor in question is that you are giving your own meaning and interpretation to the words of the Bible. You have to preach what God said not what you said.

I have to show you definition of success.

However, Jesus became poor so that I can become rich

Christ is too make me rich spiritually and physically if I obey him I shall reap eat the fruits of the land( Isaiah 1:19)

If I serve him and obey him I shall spend my days in prosperity and my years in pleasure.(job 36 :11) you can follow thw Bible deligently and not be rich
Now, you are talking "Grace" with your statement in bold letters. Even the people that seem poverty stricken can believe and lay claims to what you just said and it works for all of us, everybody, not only the rich. Someone can be poor but his needs are being met through the Grace of God.

The Job that was speaking in the later part of your submission was plagued with poverty, even as at the time he made that statement you quoted from the bible. However, he operated faith. Note that he was without sin according to the devil and the bible, he refused to curse God despite his trials.
So Job was an example of poor man that was without sin and served God in spirit and truth yet poverty was with him for a significant period of his life until the later part of his life.

did you read all the verses
And if you have to sweet and eat in sorrow on a cursed ground is prosperity to you, then so be it , and if a cursed ground is not poverty , well I don’t know what it is , now the same works you do with sweet that is bringing you little to barely eat, it also the same work another man amass great wealth without sweet
And you think it my assumption that a curse is different from a blessing
You have deviated completely from the topic:

The matter under consideratuon is about poverty not being a result of sin or otherwise.

Everybody works for wealth, money and riches, both the poor and the rich. You were not there when that wealthy man put in the work, however minimal or much, you are there to see and celebrate him or her when the wealth is made or money is rolling in.

Don't be deceived.

You are working and pushing your activities around the world today because God allowed Adam and Eve to leave Eden. Since that time till today, everyone including the rich and poor and you work for money and survival.

Poverty does not indictate that anyone is a sinner.

when Adam sin God drove him out of the garden of Eden where he was living in comfort without stress, where everything was available, and because of sin God cursed the ground because of Adam , Genesis 3:17-19 that Adam shall eat in sorrow all his life
I didn't see poverty or poor mentioned in the bible verse that you quoted.

One can be rich and eat in sorrow. Curse doesn't necessarily mean poverty.

When you are preaching or referring to the word of God, you need to prove that God said so, not your interpretation or assumptions.

Check the definition of success and wealth or riches? They are two different things. They don't mean the same thing.

You need to show me a bible passage that qualifies poverty as an evidence of sin in our life.

So her co-travellers wanted to lynch her or is this just additional
fiction account typical of Nigerian newspapers?
That said, why plead with the passenger, when she could be forcefully removed
and detained while the other passengers can carry on with their journey?

I doubt this is the full story especially the pleading part.

Airlines are generally not that nice even when at fault let alone when in the right.
I agree with you that this may not be the full story.

Very selfish behaviour. She thinks this is bus park or something. Planes operate on strict schedules and even our airlines are notorious for not keeping to strict schedules and now her reckless actions has contributed to the already alarming flight cancellation statistics. They said her luggage's weight is not suitable for the plane's balance and she was still insisting, she want the devil to use her?
I would blame Ibom Air for this development. Why didn't the management and captain of the flight unboard that particular passenger on that flight and fly the remaining passengers to ensure timely delivery of passengers at their destination.

If they had done that, they would have only that passenger to compensate or refund or engage in litigation, not affecting everyone's flight. You can imagine the cost for those enroute Abuja to meet an appointment or board an international flight.

I want to blame the situation on Ibom Air. Most airline unboard unruly passengers, professionally, even with force when necessary. So why would Ibom Air allow this happen on that flight without taking the right decisions at the right time.

while it possible to be ungodly and be rich because of so many reasons, but that does not mean God is associated with poverty because all the people God walk with begging from Abraham God made them very rich , and most of you castigating the pastor , if anybody wish you long life and poverty on your Birthday , will any of you say Amen to such prayer
Poverty isn't something to wish anybody. No body wants to be poor but circumstances of life can result to poverty.

However, let no man confuse anyone that sin is the cause of poverty. I disagree.

Poverty is just an unfortunate development that is not defined or caused by sin.

So you mean you serve a poor God?
That a man who serves is poor doesn't mean God Almighty is poor.

There are several circumstances that could make a man poor despite being holy or filled with the spirit of God.

It is just life and no man of God or Christian should be defined as godly or righteous based on his wealth or riches or poverty.

He wouldn't remain poor forever as long as he keeps pushing in faith and works with his righteousness

If he takes you on, then engage him intelligently and cleverly. We read your comments so if we need to step in to reset his brain, we will. If he chooses to be persistently annoying, nauseating and offensive, then we will keep him in his space.

Ignore him sometimes.
