Kudos to Prof Zulum, I just recollect the current Zamfara governor that was governing his state for almost 1 year or over from Abuja cos of bandits. The bandits put the fear of devil in the mind of the governor and he ran out of his state like donkey. The bandits killed and kidnapped people of the various communities in the state for long and still happening, they were also mining raw gold and taking it out of Zamfara to Dubai etc....it's was so sophisticatedly done even still on going till now....Kudos to Zulum....an exceptional governor...

Samuel Ajayi Crowther (c. 1809–31 December 1891), was a Yoruba linguist and the first African Anglican bishop in Nigeria. Born in Osoogun (in what is in Lanlate, Oyo State, Nigeria), he and his family were captured by Fulani slave raiders when he was about twelve years old.

Crowther was freed from slavery at a coastal port by the Royal Navy's West Africa Squadron, which was enforcing the ban against the Atlantic slave trade. The liberated peoples were resettled in Sierra Leone. In Sierra Leone, Ajayi adopted an English name of Samuel Crowther, and began his education in English. He adopted Christianity and also identified with Sierra Leone's then ascendant Krio ethnic group. He studied languages and was ordained as a minister in England, where he later received a doctoral degree from Oxford University. He prepared a Yoruba grammar and translation of the Anglican Book of Common Prayer into Yoruba, also working on a Yoruba version of the Bible, as well as other language projects.

A grandson of King Abiodun,[2] through his mother, Afala, Ajayi was around 12 years old when he and his family were captured, along with his entire village, by Fulani slave raiders in March of 1821 and sold to Portuguese slave traders. His mother, Afala (who was later baptized with the name Hannah), toddler brother, and other family members were among the captives. His father, Ayemi, was most likely killed in the raid of his village or shortly afterwards. The British had outlawed the Atlantic slave trade in the early 19th century and used their navy to patrol the coast of Africa. Before the slave ship left port for the Americas (where Spain and Portugal still permitted the International slave in their colonies, the British empire and the United States still allowed slavery but had banned the trans-Atlantic importantion of slaves), it was boarded by crew from a British Royal Navy ship under the command of Captain Henry Leeke.

They freed the captives, and took Ajayi and his family to Freetown, Sierra Leone, where they were resettled by local authorities.[3]

While in Sierra Leone, Crowther was cared for by the Anglican Church Missionary Society (CMS) and was taught English. He converted to Christianity. On 11 December 1825 he was baptized. He named himself after Samuel Crowther, vicar of Christ Church, Newgate, London, and one of the pioneers of the CMS.[1] Ajayi was baptized by John Raban.

While in Freetown, Crowther became interested in languages. In 1826 he was taken to England to attend the school of St Mary's Church in Islington, which had established a connection with free Africans in the 18th century. He returned to Freetown in 1827. He was the first student admitted to the newly opened Fourah Bay College,[4] an Anglican missionary school. Because of his interest in language, he studied Latin and Greek of the classical curriculum, but also Temne of West Africa. After completing his studies, Crowther began teaching at the school.[citation needed]

However, I know that the convener of Revolution now had initially throughout and planned towards revolution but no revolution can happen without the full solidarity and support of the large populace which hasn't always been with Nigerians. Dauda Lawal, an ethnic Muslim Hausa from Zamfara State, Dauda was born on 2 September 1965 into a humble family popularly known in the textile industry in Gusau, Zamfara State.

Lawal graduated from Ahmadu Bello University in 1987 with B.Sc in Political Science. he obtained an M.Sc in Political Science/International Relations from the same university in 1992, and holds a PhD in Business Administration from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, before going further to develop himself by taking courses at prestigious universities including the London School of Economics, Harvard Business School, Oxford University Business School and Lagos Business School among others. [3]

He started his working career in 1989 as a Political Education Officer with the Agency for Mass Mobilization for Social and Economic Reliance Nigeria. In 1989, he joined Westex Nigeria Limited as an Assistant General Manager.[4] In 1994 he was appointed as an Assistant Consular Officer (Immigration), and later Chief Protocol Officer, Embassy of Nigeria, Washington, DC, USA. Dauda Lawal joined First Bank of Nigeria Plc in May 2003; as Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking and was at various times Senior Manager, Abuja Area office, Business Development Manager, Abuja, Principal Manager, Group Head PSG II, Assistant General Manager (Business Development Manager), Maitama, Deputy General Manager (Business Development Manager), Maitama/Group Head Public Sector, Abuja. Between October 2010 and September 2011 Mr. Lawal was elevated to the position of Executive Vice President, Public Sector, North of First Bank of Nigeria Plc. In September 2012 he became Executive Director, Public Sector North, of First Bank of Nigeria Plc.[5]

Dauda Lawal ran for office in 2019 for Governor of Zamfara state[6] under the flagship of APC.

Lawal was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC for allegedly helping a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke, to conceal a total of $153.3million in Fidelity Bank in 2015. In the charge sheet marked FHC/4419c/18 before the Federal High Court in Lagos

The Six Yoruba states aren't the only area inhabited by Yorubas. The noninclusive Yoruba states are Kwara, Kogi, .....some Yoruba communities are also cut off such as Yorubas in Delta State, Edo State....
