You don't go back to the embassy to pick up the visa but the pick up collection center that you clicked when booking your visa interview that's where you will go and collect your passport stamped with visa..

I flew through JFK, then a connecting flight to St Paul MN, before I boarded Amtrak to North Dakota and I spent less than 220k, thanks to Walspring...

Check the Size of the picture you are trying to atttach. it shouldnt be more than a specific kb ( i think 256 or so).

That being said, it doesnt really matter as you are still required to come with a white-background passport to the embassy.

If you cant get a good photographer near you, prepare 1k for the photographers (hustlers) at the embassy entrance who are more than aware of the embassy requirement.

I'm not sure you need to do that anyway, except if the rules have recently changed. Instead, you are supposed to staple the photograph physically to the printed out DS160 form after filling it out and submitting. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You don't need all this stress bro..

Just go to any photographer and tell them you want to take the kind of photograph that they used for visa processing at the embassy, am sure they know it..

You can ask them to send a copy to your email and you resize it from there to fit in for the size required by the embassy or you take it to a business centre and scan it to the size required by the embassy..

That's people for you and yet they will come here and tell you that it's not compulsory they drop their transcript and no rule stated that it's a must to drop transcript..

That conversion is OYO until you get to Ecobank and want to pay in their naira account or when you pay with your card. Bro no try am o

If you pay through card from any airline website you will be charged by the bank parallel market exchange rate but when you book online and pay to their bank account its normal CBN exchange rate..

Ethiopia bawo with their 2 to 3 stopovers. Qatar airways is the cheapest and they of course ply that route with the latest airbus but dem no dey charge for Naira......

The last time I check Qatar airways website early this year, I saw naira conversion of the flight fee.. Kindly check at the top right corner, you should see it there..

No, if they stamped cancelled on the visa POE will assume it is cancelled and there is a problem in the system. Best to contact the embassy to see if there was an error before attempting to travel on the visa so you don't have any unfortunate encounters with immigration. If you are trying to enter the US and don't have the correct visa class, they can turn you around at the border and give you a 5-year ban. Not worth the risk.

i know the 30days rule,My classes resume September and it would be stupid of me traveling on F1 visa now.Am only traveling on my B1 visa to the states and be there for 2weeks or the whole of June and return back to Nigeria. And travel September 1st on my F1. I have concurrent B1 visa that expires May 2017 and my B1 was not cancelled when I got my F1.

Are you with your passport now and do you have the 2 visas on it Which I believe that the B1/B2 would be cancelled before issuing be F1

Been a long while I posted. I'm glad to see the rate of progression day by day. I've in recent times read through as guest but had to come on to congratulate this funny guy with a funny name- dickoflife (eponaye in Jchi's voice). Congrats bro.

To ALL those who got their visas I say congrats. And to those going for their interviews soon, best wishes from me to you.

However, it's a means to an end and not the end itself. It's a good life here but comes with it's challenges as well but trust me it's all worth it! God bless our hustle.

Let me also add and warn everyone, from my experience, that there are 'crazy' hackers here in the US. My bank account was hacked few days ago where I saw transactions I never made. My debit card wasn't even linked to PayPal and I found PayPal transactions debited to my account. I had to go to the bank to complain. I was warned not to use my cards for transactions on public computers (even on the school library computers which I used for my last transaction). Even ones personal computer without a strong and genuine anti-virus is a risk. But I appreciate what banking is here. I was credited with the total amount I lost to fraudsters in 2 days. Please let's be alert.
