Politics › Prayer Points For This 2015 General Presidential Election by Walspring(op): 8:13am On Mar 27, 2015 |
Less than 24 hours to the General election (Presidential) and i am sure most of us have families somewhere, anything can happen to anyone but we can pray to avert disasters, bloodshed, violence and lots more so that God can take absolute and perfect control.
If you believe in prayers, I would want you to make use of this prayers and i am sure most of us are familiar with the 1st prayer;
1, I and my family blood will not be used as a sacrifice in this period of election. 2, Peace of God, take over this election period, in the name of Jesus. 3, O Lord, give us leaders who will see their roles as a calling, instead of an opportunity to amass wealth. 4, We come against every human and demonic manipulation of the election results, in the name of Jesus. 5, Anybody anywhere, saying Nigeria will know no peace during this election period, wherever you are, receive your obituary, in the name of Jesus. 6, Lord Jesus, use this election to give us leaders that will transform our country, in the name of Jesus. 7, Expectation of darkness, expectation of wickedness; for this election period, be disappointed by the power of God, in the name of Jesus. 8, Let the fire of Holy Ghost burn every demonic attempts against the will of God in this election, in the name of Jesus. 9, Every citadel of darkness, militating against the peace of Nigeria, catch fire and burn to ashes, in the name of Jesus. 10, Eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood, assigned against Nigeria in this election period, eat your own flesh and drink your own blood, in the name of Jesus. 11, We come against election malpractices by the power in the blood of Jesus. 12, We declare Nigeria a riot-free, violence-free and war-free country during and after the period of election, in the name of Jesus. 13, Our Heavenly Father, in every election for this period, Let you own divine candidates become the leaders of this country in the name of Jesus. 14, By the power of the Holy Ghost, we declare this election period peaceful and blissful, in the name of Jesus. 15, Let the power of peace and progress overshadow this nation in this period of election, in the name of Jesus.

I'm not saying he doesn't have a right not to mention his school, for what its worth, the person that asked that question is dim because telling him the school wont change anything as most funding is done by department and not the graduate school per se but still all this equivocation doesn't help our cause really. You are right big boss... If anyone hide information today, am sure (s)he wont hide it tomorrow or forever |

I have 2 friends who have be told surprised by VOs when the VOs addressed them by their nairaland user IDs. Who no go no know The fact and truth is that the VO comes here and read some/most of our post, I dont think they will use it against someone during visa interview.. ripleus: I'm reluctant to mention the school cos they only admit very few people each year (e.g. my program only takes 2 or 3 people per year all over the world, and that's how it goes for other departments too). I'm told by the admissions office that I'm the only Nigerian this year so I don't want to say it here and be possibly identified by a V.O. - until after I've passed my visa interview. So I'll post it after I pass the visa interview, as a reply to this message. People like you have been here before and they did more than you.... You need to understand that everyone case are different when it comes to visa interview decision ripleus: Your response is really sad. So you want me to jeopardize my chances instead of just waiting for a couple of weeks? It's not like you can even apply to the school till end of the year, so I don't know why you're hissing.
Maybe I should have just ignored the question instead. I cant imagine you thinking this way... ripleus: It's not such a big deal really, so I don't know why you're taking it like this. Most PhD programs in the US give full funding. I didn't say the school is unique. My PROFILE is unique, after all the information I have said about myself here. Nobody else here is being asked to reveal their identities or give information that will make a Visa Officer identify them. There is at least one Visa Officer on this thread and you're trying to make me reveal information that can jeopardize my chances. That's what I am saying, and I really don't know what else you want. I said I'll post the name of the school after my interview. Haba. You need to know that people can be qualified for visa with documents and unique profile but still not eligible for visa.. ripleus: I have no more words for you. I believe anybody who is reasonable will understand all I have said here. I wish you the best. Reasonable people wont be thinking that stating the name of the school will stop you from getting your visa... Remember God has final say and not visa officer |

ripleus: Hello Visa Officer and good people of Nairaland. I've just been admitted with full funding for a PhD program in a high ranked U.S. school (direct PhD from BSc, without a masters) so I want to apply for an F1 visa.
My concern is that I've never been out of Nigeria before and I think I'll find it hard to prove that I have any strong ties here (my whole family is here but I really nothing of financial value here).
Further, I've earned little or nothing since I completed my BSc because I've been studying a lot independently (and that may be one reason I got full funding from the school). My bank statements can only show enough to get a flight ticket. The school is covering every other expense guaranteed for five years.
I am really concerned about getting this visa because the PhD research is an opportunity that I've waited for all my life. My dream is to return to Nigeria to lecture at a federal university.
A friend said fully funded PhD admissions, especially at a high profile university are never rejected. Is this true? I have searched and it seems to be true.
Do you think the fact that I've never left Nigeria before will count against me?
Is there anything I need to be wary of? Do you have any advice for me? You dont need to stress yourself at all... Just be optimistic and stop thinking somethings you dont need to think about... |

joenicewake: If you miss your Appointment, your visa fee is gone down the drain. This is simply coz the Appointment System is programmed to make your receipt number becomes automatically void and your file closed.
In other words, if you cancel your Appointment twice, your visa fee also becomes useless
A lot to talk about bro.
Third, if you cancel your Appointment late, then it becomes void again. You cannot use the receipt to reschedule an Appointment anymore. If you fall on any of these, then your money is gone.
Send an e-mail to the embassy. Hope it is clear now! New development, you can only cancel appointment date once now and not twice again.. Also canceling of appointment date must be done 3 days to the date that was picked for interview.. |

Is it wise to submit photocopy of bank statement to school in this kind of scenario? Thank you as I await responses. this is funny, if you like request for it 100 times, all is know is that you will be charged 100 times. So why are they insisting that they will print one for you |

Which course do you want to study? Whats your undergraduate course and CGPA? Do you have any state in mind (US)? Are you ready and willing to write standard test? Can you finance your graduate study? Are you interested in funding?
The response the questions would give be better knowledge of your profile. You are in the right place. |
