pluto09: I don't want you to go back into hibernation mode again sir. Your position on OandO will open you up for a serious attack. People who don't know you will start saying you are badmouthing the company so that the price can fall for you to buy OandO at cheaper price. Na siddon look I dey sir. Make we newbies dey learn from the expert and the gurus. The economy is booming, the bulls are raging so easy to become an expert as anything you touch turns to GOLD. In some months from now, the BEASR will come out. People will get their fingers burnt and never to return. So make we newbies continue to watch the expert do their things. |

mikeapollo: So Oando was able to pay off $400m out of the $525m loan because the president of Afreximbank is Nigerian? The Angola oil minister/president and the Trinidad oil minister/ president are also Nigerians, right? Auditors opinions are about past financial performance. They are not the final verdict on what will happen to the company in future. Companies with negative (qualified) auditors opinions have been turned around and companies with positive (unqualified);auditors opinion have been liquidated. They don't necessarily see into future contracts or deals that the company could achieve. No auditors foresaw or predicted anything about the ENI/NAOC deal, the Afreximbank loan, Angola oil bloc or the Trinidad refinery deal or even the share redistribution deal. NOTE: I am not saying that Oando will just perform a miracle and come out of all the problems overnight. But they can do it gradually over some time. Sir, go and read the financial report very well! In that financial report, it was stated clearly that OandO has a $50m facility with Ecobank and they are already in DEFAULT. Ecobank is now trying to restructure. When you see Ecobank Nigeria performing poorly compared with other ETI subsidiaries it is because of companies like OandO! From the financial statement, according to the auditors, the group recorded 1) Comprehensive loss of N83bn 2) Negative operating cashflow of N531.2bn 3) Current liabilities exceeded its current assets by N3.3 Trillion 4) Funding gap of N4.3 Trillion 5) If all plans are successful, it will address only 11.4% and 8.4% of the 2025 and 2026 funding gap! OandO right now is financially insolvent! As per the various deals, nothing new. From the Abo acquisition, to the listing on Johannesburg stock exchange to the reverse acquisition on Toronto Stock exchange to the Conoco philips acquisition etc none has delivered value to shareholders. Like the auditors stated OandO continue to make losses year on year! |

ositadima1: This also applies to Oando, as I often see people quoting the quantity of crude in acquired wells. The truth is, none of these companies actually own the crude oil or gas in the ground. What they own are the rights to extract these resources—not the resources themselves. Different blocs are under different contracts. From JV, to PSC to RSC etc. The contracts defines the rights and entitlements. |

megawealth01: You dey talk as if you no sabi NAIJA things... Man no man dey work na? No it has nothing to do with man no man. Without going into the jargons, at conversion there is an approval for you to convert. At that point of conversion you decide which of the fiscal regime you want. There is impact on royalty, profit tax, Investment tax credit etc. |

mikeapollo: Yes, that shows they have the capacity to pay back and the business is viable. No bank would give such new loans to a business without due diligence and some level of assurance that the business can pay back. Oando will overcome the indebtedness butbit msy tskevdone time. Some loans were obtained fromtheir customers so will be setttled by sales of crude to them. President of Afrexim is a Nigerian. More importantly I think Fitch rating has downgraded Afrexim. That says a lot The auditors opinion about OandO was VERY CLEAR. |

222Martins: For anyone looking for a quick 100% capital appreciation, there is one last golden opportunity.
What does Nigerian Brewery, Champion Brewery, International Brewery, MTN and Cadbury have in common? They all came out of losses in either their Q4 2024 or Q1 2025, and they have all done over 100%+ in the short-term.
There is only one major company left to follow the trend and that is Dangote Sugar. Kindly do your own due diligence as this is neither financial advice nor a stock recommendation. What they have in common is that they have a FOREIGN Majority investor Doubt you we see that much growth in Sugar consumption when you all are promoting HEALTHY living |

mikeapollo: It was reported in the FY2024 accounts that Oando had settled $400m out of the $525m loan it obtained from Afrexim bank. If they are able to maintain and continue with the trend and pay off the loans consistently, nothing will stop Oando from bouncing back . The main problem is the indebtedness Anyone that wants to sell off can do so but just leave some units there because it will bounce back big. The same FY2024 that the external auditor stated clearly that the going concern of OandO is in doubt? |

Obvious many here did not experience the 2008 market crash nor the 2020 Covid 19 induced crash. People panicking over non dividend payment! When last did ETI paid dividend?
The market over reaction should present good buying opportunities that will lead to wealth transfer.
For as long as the fundamentals are still STRONG than no shaking.

Mankind2024: What a great time to be a Nigerian! We're becoming self-taught experts in finance, auditing, accounting, and investment banking, all in our effort to create a legacy portfolio and a generational wealth. The RENCAP publication offers valuable insights, advising us to look beyond banks' accounting profits, which may be unrealised, and focus on cash profits instead. Notably, Stage 2 loans can lead to forbearance issues, especially when banks have substantial unrealised accounting profits You can never go WRONG with CASH FLOW! Many look at profits BUT CASH FLOW is where the answer is Happy Investing |

Then for ellahlakes not for me after I was able to size the farm now.I will rather buy presco and okumu for now based on the expansion in progress. I have seen what best ellahlakes can produce as revenue and not impressed in the next 5 yrs when u consider Os too If you are trader then Ellah Lakes will be good for you. Sentimental Analysis favours them. For a long term investor, they are damn too small! Better stay with the market leader. Happy investing |
