well,I disagree with that.My disagreement is quite complicated, because when we are shouting restructuring,it means so many things to different people.Infact,it could mean we want to be restructured into a complete unitary state.Which kind of restructuring did those youth against?

visit, the yoruba commonwealth thread on nairaland or oodua republic constitution thread here on nairaland too know the kind of restructuring yoruba youth wants.Majority want true federalism or confederation.I have interacted with many yoruba youth physically and their stand is not different.some even want break up.
Listen to your youths again and you will see that there is no clear cut on were they stand.

Read their comments online and offline

Are there not igbos against restructuring and biafra
You mean the elites and not the youths

Igbo youths have made their stand clear through Kanu their chief youth leader.
PoliticsRe: Why Nigeria Cannot Be Restructured – IPOB by Warship: 7:47am On Jul 04, 2017
True

Jonathan was Nigerian last President.

He did all he could to save Nigeria but failed

Nigeria is gone in the spiritual world.

Not only yorubas. The point is that no tribe in nigeria has someone or body that speaks the mind of all his people.

Atiku and IBB spoke in support of restructuring but el rufai, junaid Muhammad and co go against him.

even IPOBs,Ohanaeze ndigbo and MASSOB are not on the same page.see this extract from Igbo owned vanguard newspaper.

"MASSOB kicks
The statement by MASSOB signed by its Leader,
Comrade Madu, and entitled “MASSOB blasts Igbo
religious, traditional, political and opinion leaders for
their nonchalant and insensitive attitude towards the
current consciousness and realities of Biafra,” read:
“Why is it that whenever these self-acclaimed Igbo
leaders meet among themselves or with the Nigeria
presidency, they always side-line the primary and
principal reasons and cause of Biafra agitation?
“Yesterday’s meeting of Igbo leaders in Enugu is
tactically helping Nigeria government in postponing
the explosion of the inevitable and unstoppable
ticking time bomb which Nigeria comfortably sat on."

You still do not get me

The most important thing is not the elites but the youths

A good number of Yoruba youths support Dele and Lai stand against restructuring

Go to Dele topic on " What are we restructuring. " and see how Yoruba youths supported him

Go back to the topic on Nairaland and you will confirm that I say the truth

What does Abuja produced that she can depend upon to build her economy.

Does she have human and mineral resources to exist as an independent nation

Anyway, if they seek to be independent, then their wishes must be respected.

But I will advice them to join any of the following 3

1) Arewa

2) Odua

3) Biafra

Yorubas support restructuring and want Kwara and Kogi back in their folds along side control of all resources in Yoruba land
But Yorubas like Lia Mohammed, Dele Momudu etc are against Restructuring with lots of Yorubas online supporting them.

Every one who rose against the Igbos ended in disaster

Muritala: Killing of Asaba men

Awolowo: Encouraged the shooting down of international food agencies aeroplanes. His partner in crime was Adekunle

MKO: Said he can do without the Igbos and sunk 2 million bibles.

Abacha: Threaten Igbos with a much brutal civil war

Buhari: Unleashed Fulani herdsmen terrorists against the Igbo people while killing peaceful IPOB members

The Yoruba Nation is like a divided house with no clear majority.

They are neither here or there
Majority of Middle Belt have taken a stand that they are not going with Arewa.
Likewise Igbos, NigerDeltans and Arewa people.
Unfortunately today, Yorubas have not articulated were they stand

U r such a dunce for leaving the issue being discussed and beating about the bush. From soap and perfume now unto original and fake "perfect counterfeit" pounds when we are discussing steel weapon technology. And talk about going back to school, its obvious you are the one who needs to go back to school as your bolded blunder clearly shows.
if you are not an illiterate, you would have understood from several explanations made by me that one can be knowledgeable in one technology and ignorant in another.

One of the minerals that will fasten the process of balkanization of Nigeria detected.

Cos what is keeping the North staying in one Nigeria is the crude oil which is the mainstay of the economy.
You are in the spirit.

I suspect that the discovery of oil in the West and nickel in the North at this time, might be God's way of giving the Igbos their dream in a peaceful way.

It sells for almost $1000 per Tonne. About 5 times the price of CRUDE today.

Very soon with agricultural activities receiving greater attention, the exploration of oil in the Chad Basin added to this mineral find, we will soon discover who the real parasites are.
Can you people now declare your Arewanistan republic.

To me if this information is true, God just provided this to help you guys let the Biafrans go.
PoliticsRe: Biafran Technology And Inventions At Display In Umuahia by Warship: 5:09pm On Aug 29, 2016
Dainfamous:
economic performance is directly attributable to its weakness in the production and use of modern technology. Even Nigeria, a country with immense human and material resources, coupled with significant scientific infrastructure, has not yet been able to manage the all-important technological leap forward. The situation was different in Biafra (1967–70), when indigenous scientists and engineers performed socially relevant science without the preconditions conventionally perceived as necessary for technological development. Anchored in structuration theory, this article explores the sociology of scientific and technological practice in Biafra, outlines the achievements of Biafran scientists and engineers, and offers explanations of why the Biafran technological success has not been replicable in post-civil war Nigeria. Discussion concludes with a suggestion for development-driven geopolitical restructuring.
If true federalism is practiced in Nigeria, the Igbos will use their resources to develop an advance indigenous technology that will place the Igbos above the Yorubas in terms of economy and technology since both are twins.

yup, I agree but they would have needed more time, tech and way more funds than what Biafra had at that time. even Germany during WWII spent billions on their tech but still lost out on the nuclear bomb development to the USA
The problem wasn't more time or funds but lack of knowledge on bullet/shell/jet technologies

SAVEDBABA:
but biafra could build a tank that can rotate 360 but they did not know how to produce the bullet, bros listen to yourself...#aintnotribalist
That your mother can cook ewedu soup does not mean she can cook egusi soup

A technologist might know how to produce soap does not mean he knows how to produce perfume.

Nigeria saving grace was that no Biafra knew how to produce bullets/shells/jet technologies. If they knew, the war would have ended differently.
PoliticsRe: Biafran Technology And Inventions At Display In Umuahia by Warship: 2:22pm On Aug 28, 2016
Kaysalas:
There is no harm in being a technological illiterate but what I will NOT be ..is a human being void of BASIC LOGICAL REASONING, if you believe the tank came before bullets in Biafra, then you will also have no harm in believing submarines came before canoes, automobiles before chariots. I leave you to wallow in your "technological LITERACY" hahaha! isn't it funny you are alluding to soaps and perfume when we are talking steel / metal technologies here?so much for your technology education.lol
I repeat again

Go back to school

Knowledgeable in one technology doesn't mean you can't be an illiterate in another technology.

Do you know that the perfect counterfeit pounds produced by the Germans was produced with the help of Jewish captors because no German could produced such perfect counterfeit pounds

Ur still in complete denial. You have bn seriously brainwashed. About dt aljazeera link I said I would post; the title is "the French-African connection" . There are 3 episodes online. Episode 2 talks about Biafra. These were interviews with French intelligence & military officers. Read d real history of d biafran war and how France supplied them with weapons & how France ensured d word "genocide" was placed in the intl media. It was all propaganda.

Here's a link to the "word" summary of the documentary:

Here's a link to d documentary itself. I think it's also on YouTube:

A Fulani man heading Cameroon as President supported his kinsmen.
