I pity those still supporting One Nigeria.

I am very sure you won't make that distinction among snakes.

The moment you realise that there is a fulani expansionist and colonisation agenda spearheaded by Buhari himself, that is the time you will begin to grow sense.

The fulanis that have lived for centuries side by side with Hausas are now killing their hosts with the help of migrant fulanis from across West Africa whom where encouraged to migrate and settle in Nigeria when Buhari assumed office.

To the Fulani, Buhari is the most powerful man on earth and that is what is feeding that false illusion of grandeur on Buhari who believes he is a modern day Uthman dan Fodio. Buhari is first and foremost president of fulanis world wide and dictator of Nigeria.

Keep fooling yourself over good fulani bad fulani dialectic.

Our people don't yet know that Buhari himself wants to replace indigenous ethnic groups in Nigeria with Fulani across Africa.

Do you know that in Zamfara whenever they appear to kill the Hausas, they do chant that Nigeria belongs to the Fulanis.

Erik was actually a lucky man. At the start of the war, General Philip Effiong tried to recruit him into the Biafran Army but he chose to fight for Nigeria

When Biafran forces surrounded Etuk and his forces in the city of Owerri, Etuk fought back well. He was eventually allowed by the Biafran forces to withdraw from Owerri

True.

Due to lack of ammunitions, the Biafran high command had to allow him escape through Owerri - PH expressway

The honest truth is that, if Biafrans were well armed, Etuk won't have performed that fine.

Etuk was facing an under equipped enemy which is the reason why he is not highly celebrated.

All Nigerian military officers performed badly when one considers the fact that the Biafrans well not well armed.

The greatest military leaders were Achuzie & Onwutueagwu, Amadi, and all Biafran officers who won battles with poorly armed troops.

It is not easy to holdout for 30months against a military that was over armed.

Oga,there's a big difference oh except you are a yoruba.most yorubas think that all ss are still igbos.the difference is same as there is between igalas and knows.etuk was never a biafran since he never fought or associated with them therefore he was a Nigerian.the terrain is not the same.the akwa cross terrain is more coastal highly fertile like the one in benue and taraba.both akwa ibom and cross river are made up of several ethnicities.do not take away anything from etuk's outstanding prowess.
Again, liberating the minorities of the then biafra was very easy because they were never in support except few of them.the real battle was in the south east.etuk knew nothing about that side

You stay in your enclave telling me who has a link to Akwa Cross that Igboland & thinking pattern with that of Akwa Cross aren't the same.

Do you see Annangs, Ibibios, Orons, Efiks etc live on water like the Ijaws.?

Can you differentiate us easily the way you do between Igbos and the Yoruba people.?

Do you know of hybrid clans like Arochukwu, Abiriba, Ohafia, Abiam etc made up of Igbos & Akwa Cross people.?

Haven't you heard of nsigbidi letters & ekpo secret society that cuts across Akwa Cross & Igbo nations.?

Oga, if u know who I am, u won't be arguing trash.

Let me state one fact known to even our enemies.

Most Igbo communities have Akwa Cross roots & vice versa.

Etuk was an inside rat that led the outside rats to overrun Biafra

Thanks for inviting me to talk on a matter concerning SE. In case you were not aware, Ibos in Nairaland banned me from talking about their region. Ordinarily, and to respect the ban, I would not have said a word about this article but since an invitation like this is a voluntary solicitation for my input then I do not consider it ordinary at all, I am hereby returning the honor and giving my full input on this article.

First, I say may the souls of the gallant soldiers that served their various fatherlands on both sides of the dispute rest in peace.

Second, no one who put up show of gallantry and bravery in the war should be dismissed as anything but a hero and a brave warrior. War is not for simpletons. In the old days of yore when men go to war they scheduled it so that they will minimize suffering and hardship on the manpower at the fore front. Therefore wars were not fought during planting season or hunting season. You needed men in the field to plant crops and in forest to bring meat, you needed the iron for farming implements, not for forging swords, axe, machettes, daggers and arrows and darts or guns. With time and due to better means of farming and hunting, it was no longer necesaary to schedule wars and we started having spontaneous wars. It was reported that during Dahomey, Oyo wars if they were still on battle field when rains started Commanders on Gezo side will call for cease fire to allow return to farmlands. When they did not stop they would raid farmlands along the way to sustain supplies.

Biafran war was spontaneous, not well thought out. The cause was legitimate, the implementation was disastrous. The disasters came primarily from two sources - supplies and timing!

Third, in a war certain resources are key to success but here I will mention just one because it keys into your topic. Native help on enemy side! This resource is the make and break of all scopes in security and peace engagements.

The defeat of Yoruba by Fulani was possible because Afonja, himself Yoruba, marched against Oyo with Yoruba Baloguns. The counter-defeat of Fulani by Yoruba was also possible because when Ibadan captured the enemy camps they would set free the Fulanis but slaughter the Yorubas amongst them. They recognized without the Yorubas Fulani was not a match.

Colonel UTUK (Etuk) is a native in the Biafran territory. If he did not lead the front who else should?

So the mention that he led the advance force into territories in Biafra should not be the herald point for his heroism.

None of the Baloguns who led Afonja into Oyo is a hero today, nonetheless no Emir can sit on Ilorin throne without their say so and approval.

Utuk's heroism should come from patriotism and ideology. Bring him into political limelight through his political feats, and no just because he used his knowledge of terrain to assist invasion against his land.

Its a good topic and Colonel Utuk deserve good mention acknowledging his ideology and patriotism.

Your presentation is to a high degree correct.

Etuk was a Biafran leading an invasion against his fellow Biafrans just as Afonja a Yoruba led Fulanis to conquer his people.

As our people say, It is the inside rat that tells the outside rat that fish is inside & show it how to get the fish

Generalpatton there is no difference between Igbos & Akwa Cross people. Even our terrains & thinking pattern are 90% similar.

It's already too late for the divided, selfish and adamant Igbos who refused to use their tongues to count their teeth, and allowed Kanu to bring this tragedy upon them at a time they are not able, ready and willing to defend their Ancestral lands, territories and people. There is virtually nothing the Igbos can do now. What befell the Agatu, Tiv and other Middle Belt tribes will befall the Igbos in no distant time, judging from the number of besiegers that have surrounded them already. Where is Mr. Kanu who drew the attention of the invaders?

This was the same mistake your Nigerian ancestors made that caused them 500,000 dead soldiers.

I always laugh when I read Afonja actually rejoicing over the Biafra war claiming another war would spell room for Biafra.

Niggeria had MORE military casualties than Biafra. Biafra had MORE civilian casualties. For those too stupid to understand what that means is that Biafran soliders killed more Niggeria did theres. Infact, Niggeria resulted to the blockade because of that factor. During the first war, Biafra had less weapons, less training and less military personnel than Niggeria yet they still did enough damage to result to Niggeria going after their unarmed civilians especially their most precious ones aka children and women to defeat them. Let that sink in.

2019 is NOT 1967. Niggeria has majority of the upper hand it had back then..

One allies.
Most nation that helped Niggeria back then; if we look at their actions when Niggeria went all over the world begging for assistance with Boko Haram will definitely provide no assistance. If not for Boko Haram invading Niget and Cameroon, both equally showed lack of interest helping Niggeria.

Likewise, the British that provided the most aid to Niggeria during the first war equally have been compromised. There's more Igbo politicians in British leadership than any other tribe in that Niggeria. I highly highly doubt those Igbos will sit quiet as Britian would provide weaponry to Niggeria to fight Igbo people. In addition to those Igbo, the Biafra agitation have equally increased some British politicians supporters hence the people that have included supporting Biafra division in their parliament were not Igbo likewise the few that signed the petition were equally not of igbo descendant.

UN and ICC
There's equally enough Igbo in that leadership for any war activities including the cowardly and pathetic way resulted to after getting slaughtered like Rams (starvation policy) will definitely not be over looked or ignored like it was last time.

Diaspora
Igbo have too many Igbos in the right places. And right education to play a role. I'll use America's military for example. There's more Igbo USA military than other ethnic groups due to alot of Igbos utilizes that avenue to gain citizenship to USA. I highly doubt those trained in US military will sit idily by while the war. Hell the first war, several Igbos in diaspora, especially the males, went home to join the military while some equally provided aids to Biafra by sending funds as well as illegal weaponry to Biafra. If I remember correctly Dik Tiger funded Biafra significantly during the first war. At that time, not that many Igbos were living aboard thus not much major foreign income came into biafra for aid. The opposite is the case in year 2019. Dick Tiger income ALONE as a boxer provided a huge amount of assistance to Biafra. Igbos now has more than 100 Dick Tigers both both in diaspora as well as in that shithole.

Insurgency
Niggeria already has multiple insurgency especially Boko Haram who are doing alot of damage to your weak ass Military. If a war breaks, that means a division of fights thus the already weak military will become weaker. After all, only an idiot would think Boko Haram will simply stop fighting to let the war end first. If anything both Biafra soliders and Boko Haram might actually team up despite their differences. As they say the enemy of my enemy is my friend. An Igbo woman is currently the only person they trust and allow to speak to them, therefore, that avenue to connect is there. In addition, judging on the level of hatred Buhari and his dumb military had created on Igbo youths, handing them weapons is another Boko Haram waiting to happen. After all, if you shoot at people without weapons multiple times daring them not to do the act you shot at them for and they still come out doing it again, the worst people to give a gun to and give reasons to shoot back are Niggas that don't give a Bleep if they live or die.

Only a bloody idiot actually believe what occurred in 1967 is what will occur in 2019. Only idiots.

Lastly, I would like to say GOOD MORNING to Nwodo and any Igbo politicians currently pissed of on Buhari's administration. When Nnamdi Kanu was informing you idiots their hate and stating we should divide ourselves out of that shithole, you pigs were busy joining your enemy to insult and attack your people. Ntoooor to every Igbo politicians especially those in APC. A big fat NTOOOOR!!!

My brother, Nairaland has really changed my perspective about Yorubas honestly.

A tribe is crying out for the injustice against them, instead of Yorubas to just keep quiet or even ignore, they are here mocking, cursing and threatening Igbos.

I have said it before and I will repeat it again and again.

We need a peaceful division of Nigeria or restructuring to make things work in Nigeria for the good of every tribe that makes up Nigeria but if Yorubas continue to stand against this and should this lead to war, I want to remind Yorubas and Hausa-Fulanis reading that 2019 and beyond is not 1967!

Many things that worked against the Igbos in 1967 has changed. Britain was like the world power in 1967, but today Britain is struggling to stand, so expect no help from British government.

Russia gave Nigeria little help, Russia of today will never do that because Igbos now have better understanding of global diplomacy and ready to work with Russia which Ojukwu rejected in 1967 thinking he could win the war on his own.

Egypt that helped Nigerian government is also struggling to stand as a safe nation today, so no help from them.

Igbos now have more number of their sons and daughters in key government positions in European, Asian, American, etc governments and remember, Igbos are like the Jews they never forget their rooth no matter who and where they live.

I know over 50 Igbo youths currently living outside Nigeria, in some badass nations who are topnotch scientists ready to bring in their scientific prowess in making one or two dangerous weapons that may end up paralyzing the whole Africa should another war break out in Nigeria.

Ordinary ragtag Boko Haram terrorist is proving too stubborn for Nigerian army to defeat, now imagine when Igbos in Nigerian army withdraw, of course Niger Delta indigenes may not join Igbos to fight but they will never join Nigerian army to fight Igbos, u can be sure of that.

Many tribes in Middle belt don't join Hausa-Fulanis to fight Igbos like they sheepishly did in 1967, today they know better who their true enemies are.

Let's not pray for another war because if it happens, Nigeria as a whole will be reduced to ashes.

Follow Syrian and Yemeni wars and you will never call for war even if you are the most powerful nation.

War in 2019 or beyond won't be childsplay for anybody, Yorubas think the war will be fought in Igbo land alone like 1967, I laugh in Swahili, wait until the war breaks out again, then we shall see how far

I had to like and share your comment because the last paragraph summarized everything.

Yorubas double daring the Igbos, might end up the most affected because nobody knows where the war will be fought.

now after extensive research, ajimobi a Muslim, chose to handover d running of public schools in oyo state to private individual or organization to help oyo state dilapidated infrastructure because oyo doesn't have that much money on its hand
now d private individuals or organization were largely Christian and they were ready to buy almost all public schools in oyo state that time
u know what happened
the Muslims Alfa started spreading fake messages all around Ibadan that ajimobi wanted to give the school to ppl who will increase the money and deny many children education
everybody believed this lie including Christians, all school in Ibadan was close then, the office of ajimobi was attacked
now ajimobi suspended all schools then
the Alfas then said that he wanted to return missionary schools to Christian since most public schools in oyo state were missionary schools
they fought ajimobi
in d end ajimobi reversed his decision
now all public schools in oyo are dilapidated, go to any public schools in Ibadan and weep
