Her parents on the other hand must be quite dumb to believe a story that has you hitting/flirting on/with a stranger in the presence of your girlfriend's brother (their son)...
Don't bother trying to explain yourself to people like these, their case is strong.
But out of respect for them though, you can say your story and leave them to come to whatever conclusion they so desire...it's your girlfriend you should be doing everything to convince.

BTW, next time please use the inter-state transit buses...this ain't london.

thanks bro I'm surprised to say. the least...I just wonder what he told them....I mean I didn't intend any harm neither could I have been so audacious as to flirt in my inlaw's presence... I'm just dumbfounded for I know my image is already tarnished.

Okay this is how it happened....
I was fortunately unfortunate to be a commuter of railway transit from Lagos to Kano. it happened that My girlfriend's brother would also commute same train. I hooked up with him and we sat just opposite each other... The journey was normal until we arrived at Ibadan terminus where tickets were already sold for intending commuters despite that the train was already filled beyond capacity.
to cut the long story short , a lady pleaded with me through the window to help her with her luggage... I did and she also entered through the window. We arrived more terminals and to my surprise more commuters boarded. the train thereby became filled to the extent that sardines would be thankful in. their cans. The said lady had to cope by sitting on. the window, the journey progressed into the night she couldn't bear the cold and therefore pleaded that she sit on my laps... I was reluctant due to the. presence of my in-law. but second thought had me melted to her. plea she was in acute discomfort.
She fell asleep on my laps ....
sorry for the long story... my in-law at the moment has broadcasted the events of the train to the whole of my girl's family.... her mum. dad and siblings.... needless to say I'm now a villain to the whole of her family....
please people how do I redeem this situation... I guess the road to hell is paved with good intentions!!!
