Congrats!!! These are the type of pple who are wanted in abroad, professionals. I just hope your husband is not a taxi driver. ![]() Good luck madam. |
@ maree7 Tell them, Nigerians are haters. 1. The only pple i've known who doesnt wish their kinsmen well either @ home or abroad. 2. The only pple i've known who doesnt wish their leaders good. 3. The only pple who runs down on others progress (individual or nation) For 9ja to move 4ward, their attitude must change. |
This is fresh!!! October 15, 2009 http://cbs2.com/video/?id=116776@kcbs.dayport.com I was really disturbed, i just hope CNN will not pick this up and use it against my dear country. |
@ Meldrick You are just too myopic in your thinking. Who is singing America wonder? Africa will ever remain a 3rd world nation. There are dream killers in Nigeria and our government is number one. The fact that we now own laptop and can use it for research and other works is great but not fantastic. All the invention of our time were from the west, start listing everything you use daily. If you were not convinced, even the machinery that we use to produce great products in 9ja today were invented by the West. Instead of us to take advantage of these array of opportunity (Alternative/Clean energy, Stem cell etc) in this dispensation, we indulge ourselves in critisizing America/West that thinks far ahead of Nigeria or Africa. We've got to start thinking out of the box and stop critisizing ourselves or a society that has a system and structure that has been tested and trusted. Good luck. |
This is incredible! $5,000,000,000.00 ($5Million)!! We are terrible!!! http://cbs2.com/video/?id=116776@kcbs.dayport.com |
Irrespective of whereva a man/woman lives, the most important thing are 1. Happiness with siblings (Comfort, peace of mind, rest of mind etc) 2. Fullfilment Due to our nature as Africans (Tribal/Ethnic hatred, envy, jealousy and segregation despite we are all BLACK), we dont wish ourselves well at all and its amazing. We talk down on ourselves especially about those in abroad and its all about pursuit of happiness. My father used to say that [Eni ti ifa ko ba to si ni oun pe ni aramu "meaning" The man who doesnt get a free thing will say it was stolen] Anyone who has the opportunity of traveling, if he help others or not, let us leave them alone; God has plan for everyone. As there are many people in abroad who are not doing well, so are people in Africa/Nigeria who will be a better person to their family/community if they in abroad but they are wasting away in Nigeria/Africa. Dont forget there are great Nigerians abroad doing very very well and vice versa. Chikena. [/color] |
Great idea but abuse is inevitable. It cannot work in Nigeria, we are not yet matured to that level of having state police. FG will not even allow it because of various internal and sectional problem we still have as a country. Its a great idea but no state in Nigeria can manage a state police now (cost, logistics, administration, technology, passion etc) not even in the next 20 years. We've got a lot of things to tackle. I hope Lagos state can do community/neighborhood watch effectively, that would bring some level of security and comfort to the people. LASTMA was a great idea at the inception but now, they are like Police corps too because they are assigned to policemen and you know that they cannot do without bribes. |
I will appreciate if i anyone can give me a credible IELTS/TSE tutor or classes in Ikeja axis of Lagos State. A very good tutor or class with verifiable track record will be appreciated. |
@ IgboGirl I hear you buddy. My mother used to say that if you send some people (family member, friend or whatever) egg, they will lick it on the way before they give it to you. |
@ Uche2nna I was surprised that you've forgotten that our people are opportunist; in-laws, brothers, sisters or friend. They can place a demand on anything. "What kind of in-laws do i have? Hey, we all have them around us. |
We call them MU-YI-WA interpretation "bring this, buy that" Even some area sisters and brothers are worse off. I dont have any problem helping people and i believe it applies to the rest of us home or abroad but our people are instant demand machine as if money flows on the street of London, America or Canada. Can you imagine someone asking for money to renew house rent and not minding the time, he needs it within 72hrs before rent expiration. Another case of a brother in-law who pleads for money a month prior to the time he dazed you with a 2004 Honda Accord (End of discussion or whatever they call it), this is a person you managed to send some funds to him because things were pretty tight for their family. Or a former co-worker in Lagos, who wants you to send those laptop Oyinbo man thrown in dumpsters, (Even some Oyinbo no get one) LOL. I cant imagine whats wrong with us! Orientation needs to change. And for who said, some people at home are better than those abroad; think out of the box my brother, the most important thing in life is to be happy and live a fulfilled life irrespective of your geographical location. Dont be a haters, lets celebrate ourselves! |
Its possible but cant really stand the test of time. Time is required to maintain relationship, how much do u have to spend on the phone to keep the fire burning. Its bound to fail. Chikena. |

Rep William Jefferson (Atiku's associate) lost his seat at the Capitol/US Congress, indicted on11 of the 16 corruption charges. I'm not really moved by any investigation IPCC/EFCC conducts, its mere entertainment. Nothing often comes out of their investigation, Late Chief Gani (of blessed memory) often challenged them to bring one person to justice (not witch hunting/pre-calculated event of Alami-se-gba of Bayelsa State). May the Lord help Nigeria. |
Poverty is the chief problem of Africa, we attack ourselves simply because of lack and attitude of those who has more than enough. Everything still boils down to the fact that we do not love ourselves. |
Simply appear neat and professional. Suit wont impress your interviewer anyway. I've interviewed empty brain in 3 button well-tailored suit. Best of luck. |
Bank PHB are running adverts on CNN because they are trying to enter Namibia market. They currently hold a temp license. Which of those banks is even better? Birds of the same feather flocks together. I cant wait to see the new list of defective CEOs although most of the exercise of this Sanusi of a guy is pure politics and witch-hunting. |
I started out with "Agberu gbeso" = cramming from my big brothers/consultant, teach me what to tell babes and i will equally add (very little) to it until i became very confident in myself. My first GF fell after lots of talks possibly it was just likeness because i didnt even understood what love was then as i thought i did compare to now that i know its body, spirit and soul. However, after lots of effort (Gifts, dress nice, toasting and all the like she fell though the house didnt get burnt Later, I became a consultants too in my college days, bet on babes if you can toast and bring her to parties etc, had "many" girl friends all over [LOL] and thank God i am enjoying my final pick today and the marriage is every new.Got married after 5yrs of dating/courtship (whatever you can call it now), have kids - 2 boys, own properties home & abroad and now a Pastor. If its possible to start life all over again, the only thing i wouldnt do without stress is to look for another woman (n ba - No), i might try other things in a different way but searching and searching for a wife; I wont think twice, i will just locate my current in-laws house in Lagos or home town in Oyo and ask for my wife again and again. |
@ outstrip, Anyone who has a link to ASSU past or present through friend or family member deserve accolades. Those are the people Nigeria government supposed to admire and cherish. I thougt Maurice Iwu and company mentioned that Yara sluggish was a lecturer. Pls, correct me if i was wrong. |
When will our change come in my dear country? Does anyone has a clue? |
Mike Adenuga is not there because he is spending Nigerian money. IBB's frontliner for life. Who can we call a true billionaire in Nigeria if Dangote and Otedola were on debtors list? |
I really wish to see some of these folks go to jail, this will give Nigeria some level of credibility in the sight of all. I have never seen any Politian, Financial mogul or an acclaimaid star in Nigeria like O.J. Simpson who serving jail term in Lovelock Correctional Center, Nevada http://www.doc.nv.gov/lcc/index.php I often see all these exercise has a mere hype and entertainment - nothing will come out of it. Nigerians are ready to run any enterprise down at the expense of their comfort and self-glorification (Baba rere, Baba ke). 1. Atiku's accomplice (Rep Jefferson) was convicted of Bribery and Racketering, he is billed to be sentenced Oct. 30. when he will loose his freedom. 2. Has any politician ever been jailed in Nigeria, NO - former Governor been convicted and jailed in my country - The former Governor of Illinios before Blago - George Homer Ryan a 75year old man - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Ryan is currently serving a jail term in Indiana. 3. Has any financial manager/director or Entertainner - Countless are in different jail houses throughout the world except Nigeria. Most of those folks are only exposed for entertainment purposes also to help newspaper outfit make some money. I am still waiting for the wonder of Mr. Sanusi. Is Ribadu a Saint?, No, he wasnt but he proved to be a guy who is ready to step on toes and bring people to justice although he was playing someones tunes with passion to sanitise the system. My country people, we need to pray for true lovers of Nigeria who are ready to move us forward, we are loosing our position among our peers even in Africa. |
Can i say i like LD relationship? No i do not want it, i did not plan it but i am in it. Its so expensive (financially, emotionally, psychologically, spiritually). Its possible if the occasion calls for it but its so risky. - I met my wife in 1998 when i was running a program somewhere in Osun State - I secured a job in Lagos, so we were both living in the same city. - We didnt get married until after 6yrs and 1 yr after the wedding i got an opportunity to relocate to the US. - Left my wife and a son behind but i made a promise to her that i will be coming home at least once yearly until both of them can join me. Till today, they havent joined me and we now have 2 kids together. I visit lagos 2-3 times yearly, call everyday. My journey has been so blessed and fruitful and i really thank God, its all because i have kept my part of the deal - faithful and prayerful. |
Hey folks, You need to read this piece. I was disturbed about the state of our nation after reading this piece. http://odili.net/news/source/2009/aug/14/308.html |
At last, Dangote emerged NSE President - Will see where Politics of revenge is driving our dear country to either backward or forward. |
