TV/MoviesRe: I Like How When It Comes To The AMVCA Awards, They Always Ignore Asabawood Actor by WatermelonSugar: 9:43pm On May 21, 2023
finallybusy:
Abeg, those lokitos have their own award shows. AMVCA is about class and distinction. How will a movie shot in two weeks with a two hundred thousand Naira budget compete with those crafted from multi millions of Naira? Is it a short film to begin with? New Nollywood appeals more to our growing middle class and foreigners of other races. Nkem Owoh and Patience Ozokwor are still regarded because the adults of today enjoyed their movies as children. Gen Zs don't know them from Adam. Wait for Generation Alpha to hit adulthood, those names will fade into oblivion including Omotola and Genevieve.
The way most of you all regard Gen-Zs like they were born in 2022 is funny. You mean a person born in 1995 won't know Nkem Owoh? Lol.
PhonesRe: Pls Help Me I Lost All My Chat History On Samsung by WatermelonSugar: 2:33pm On May 20, 2023
Uninstall WhatsApp, then reinstall it. Backed up Chat history is usually stored in file manager so when you reinstall WhatsApp, it'll search for backup files and restore them. Good luck.
PhonesBetween Redmi Note 11 And Samsung A14 by WatermelonSugar(op): 7:10pm On May 15, 2023
Good evening house,
Please I need expert opinion between Redmi Note 11 and Samsung A14, as they're the two options I have to decide on. I initially wanted to go for a Redmi Note 12, but I don't understand why it's cheaper than RN11 (seems like red flag), and I've seen some negative reviews about it.

Please help me with your reviews and other favourable options (asides Infinix and Tecno), thank you.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by WatermelonSugar: 9:56am On May 09, 2023
My redmi note 8 was stolen yesterday and I locked it through my Mi account. If the phone is reset, can the account be removed?
I signed into my account this morning and I’m not seeing the option to track the device anymore. Can anything be done? Thank you.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Share Your Nasty Experience With Rats by WatermelonSugar: 3:32pm On Mar 10, 2023
In my first year, a rat family infested my room. Every night, you'll hear the babies cry out to each other as they run from the kitchen where I keep my plates to the top of my wardrobe. When my mother came for my matric, she helped me discover and kill the children and one of the parents before she left. It was a huge relief from the stench those rats gave my room
HealthRe: How Do I Prevent Chicken Pox After A Contact by WatermelonSugar: 4:51pm On Feb 22, 2023
There's little you can do other than just eating healthily to boost your immune system and preparing for when it starts manifesting in your body.

Remember, chicken pox goes by itself so you don't have to load your body with antibiotics (it isn't even caused by a bacteria)

RomanceRe: How Do I Convince My Boyfriend To Save In My Bank? by WatermelonSugar: 9:47pm On Jan 12, 2023
Banilla, very adult at this time should have the most basic knowledge of financial education, of which saving is an important aspect of it.

You don't have to pressure him to save in your account, rather he should create a savings account for himself. 8f he doesn't want to use the conventional banks, he can use Cowrywise or other digital savings companies.

Money issues in relationship are a big deal and should be sorted before thinking of tying the knot to avoid.....had I known.

Las las, na only you go decide wetin you wan do

PhonesRe: Why Don’t Nigerians Keep Their Phones In Their Pockets? by WatermelonSugar: 9:41pm On Jan 12, 2023
Because nobody wants stories that touches the heart. Such as “i checked my bag and couldn't find my phone”, or “i couldn't find it in my pocket”. This is especially for people in public vehicles and people moving in crowded places. It 8snt always about showoff
FamilyRe: My Parents Destroyed My Life In Guise Of Love, I'm Now Depressed Daily by WatermelonSugar: 5:49am On Sep 14, 2022
Hi Ablemed,

I can partly relate to how you feel because I am the only daughter and I faced similar restrictions, even though I oppose them with a bit of coconut headism.

Like someone said easier, you're aware of your problem and that's a great step to finding your solution.

I will recommend three things:
1) Joining the right communities. In your quest to meet people, you may end up meeting terrible people who may try to solve your problem in the wrong way. I highly recommend Twenties Tribe (check them on Instagram). If you're a Christian, you can join a local youth-centric church assembly so you can expose yourself to other youths and improve your social skills.

2) Read books on people interaction, communication, and networking, and intentionally try to practice everything you wil learn there. You can watch videos or listen to podcasts if it works better for you. You can practice them by attending networking events and other cool events.

3) If you're a Christian, I'll advise you back up these works with prayer. God sees what's going on, He will help you on this journey.

PS : HAVING A GIRLFRIEND WILL NOT FIX THIS PROBLEM!!

What you need to learn is to build good platonic and professional relationship, not a romantic relationship. Don't let anyone deceive you.
Besides, it's not a crime if you have never been in a relationship at 24, you still have years ahead of you.

Also, you can decide to learn one or two Digital/tech skills that you resonate with.

Love and e-hug.

EducationRe: ASUU Strike: Students How Do You Cope With Strikes by WatermelonSugar: 11:48am On Feb 23, 2022
I am coping well. I have signed up for a course on digital marketing to brush up my skills. Although I have school project and other things at hand, I'm fully utilising this period to skill up and do the things I couldn't do properly with school.

That aside, if you are in need of an expert to help boost your business visibility via content creation, or effectively manage your community, don't hesitate to send me a mail.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Are Nigerian Graduates Employable? by WatermelonSugar: 6:59pm On Feb 11, 2022
Nigerian graduates are employable if only they spent their undergraduate years wisely.

Every undergraduate should make good use of their years at school. You do not expect to just pass through school for only four years and come out like a professional ready for the job market.

Use this opportunity to apply for free skill-up trainings (especially in digital skills), internships, campus ambassador programs or join youth organisations like AIESEC, Enactus, or JCI that will shape you with corporate world experiences. The course you're studying can never provide you with all you need outside the walls of university.

Nonetheless, there are several Nigerian graduates who are doing great things in their workplace all over the world. It is still a proof that Nigerian graduates are employable.
HealthHas Anyone Ever Used Bitterkola To Cure Myopia? by WatermelonSugar(op): 3:56pm On Jan 05, 2022
Hello N’lders, I've seen a number of claims and articles about using bitter kola to cure myopia (short sightedness) and other eye defects. Has anyone ever used this and it has worked, or knows someone who has been cured by using it?
