Tuxpera: Is she supposed to applaud people who ask repititive questions that has been answered in the video or in a previous video, instead of blaming her for her principles, you can volunteer to answer the questions on her behalf or take it upon yourself to direct the annoying commenters to the appropriate videos.
She is rude but you keep going back to watch her videos. Someone takes her time to get firsthand information, put it together, record it in video format and publish it for public viewing and instead of hailing and singing her praises, you are here downplaying her effort.
Has she ever mentioned in any of her videos that she is looking for clients or you don't know how much agents charge for all the topics she treats publicly? Daezy you have taken your fight from YouTube to Nairaland. I stopped watching her channel. There are many other more helpful, better channels. Like the girl un Rio, there are 2 other guys, one is finishing his phD, then the girl from Liberia or Cameroon. All not RUDE. If a person is rude what type of service will they offer when they ask for payment. LOL, No thanks. Good thing about internet is that there are always options. If daezy is going through life stress as we all do sometimes, then she takes a break from vlogging instead if being rude. |

Mexico has become strict with issuing visa for some.
I am interested in Argentina, I hear their Unis are free. We have survived living in Africa so a struggle economy over there, if you travel with some dollars, I wonder if you can survive.
Can anyone share?
And we know about racism but some are looking for other information about schooling.
Can anyone share please about Argentina? |

belovedmimz: Most of what you're asking here, you can do on your own by some indepth research (visa processing+success rate); decisions such as these should be made solely by you. Here's some help still.
All three countries follow jus soli (ie, giving the baby citizenship when born on their soil), but they have a few differences between them (this is from personal research please. You can do some more on your own):
For Chile, you have to be a resident there FIRST (trp or PR) for your child to enjoy the jus soli benefit. NOT TOURIST VISA, whereas for the other two countries, one can use just a tourist or visit visa. Now, this doesn't mean your baby can't be a citizen of Chile, it just means it won't be automatic (for both Brazil and Mexico, it's automatic, doesn't matter how the parent entered the country)
Chile has arguably the best healthcare in South America (top notch!). It's affordable but not totally free...I understand it's not free in Mexico either but totally free in Brazil.
As you should know, Chile and Mexico speak Spanish while Brazil speaks Portuguese; in case one has to learn, Spanish is easier (no question 🤣). So there's more of a language barrier in Brazil than the other two places.
As for citizenship for family, Brazil and Mexico give PR as soon as baby is born and you apply (you use your baby as an anchor) - then get citizenship after some time of fulfilling requirements (a year or two) and applying. Chile is almost the same...but if you're on trp, you'll get PR then apply for citizenship but time duration is almost same.
Chile's passport is the strongest amongst the three...they have mostly the same visa-free and visa-on-arrival countries, with Mexico having that TN arrangement thing with the US but Chile's passport has e-visa to both US and Canada (100% guaranteed entry).
I'm assuming you're applying from Nigeria...you can do so for Mexico and Brazil but for Chile, you have to go to Ghana or find a registered travel agency here to do it for you (I never advise this sha).
...so, I think I've covered most of it🙂 since you're thinking South America, you should check out Argentina as well - it has the fastest citizenship route in the world. After birth, no need for PR, apply for citizenship straight...but of course, you consider other factors as well. Other South American countries aren't bad either.
If I were to choose, Chile is the best no doubt. But you have to consider many other things to make that choice. That you're considering giving your family this gift (dual citizenship) is the best🙂 but anything worth doing, is worth doing well. Make proper research, follow people's stories in all these countries, reach out to them if possible then decide. Wish you the very best!!! Thank you for this helpful information |

I've been here for a few days, and the weather is COLD. I guess I'll get used to it.
I got an airbnb but still on the look out for a decent accommodation (couldn't get a place for less than 3,600 Reais).
Brazil is a lovely place; at least the few places I have been to since my arrival. 3,600 Reais per month? Week? |

Travel › Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by wavz: 4:22pm On Apr 04, 2024 |
untamedd: It's indeed cheaper to live in non big cities and non touristy places but you may not like it there. Most of the time, the people and the system there are not used to foreigners so you may find it difficult to integrate or get things done especially with the language barrier.
Personally, I feel the south is the best to live because of the exposure, development and opportunities. I don't know much about Rio but I can tell you about São Paulo in detail.
The city of São Paulo is located in the State of São Paulo and it's just one of the 645 cities in the state. Yes, the state alone is over a quarter of Nigeria's land size with a population of 45m. It's very possible to find and live in cheaper cities within the state of São Paulo. You can explore cities that are close to São Paulo city. It's not always a traveling distance, you might just be crossing a street to enter the next city.
There are also cities categorized as São Paulo interior, they are farther from main cities but they are cheaper, you may get bored there too depending on your personality. For example Campos do Jordão, it's a touristy interior city about 3 hrs drive from the city and very hilly, if you like nature, you may like it there.
You may stay in any of these cities and move to SP City later if you want, it's more feasible to move within a state than to move inter state. Brazil is too big that moving from North to South for example will be a big headache. There are places that will take you 3 days by road to get there, even Rio to São Paulo is 7 hrs by road
Another city you can check out is Curitiba in the state of Paraná. It's conducive and relatively cheap.
Rio and São Paulo are expensive especially with accommodation but food and transportation isn't a problem in SP. São Paulo is more developed than Rio but more crowded. São Paulo is the New York of Brazil. Rio is more of an older city with older buildings and lots of graffiti but the people are generally perceived to be nicer.
I hope I answered your questions. Thank you for this information, it was very helpful. What can you share about Salvador Bahia? Any schools worth trying? Is that side organized or better put effort elsewhere? The part where you said smaller cities not accustomed to Foreigners helped a lot. Also you speaking of the South being better option ia a big help. |

Tope2580: Job is not easy to get in Brazil because of the language barrier and even the available jobs, their salary is poor. Brazil is not a place where you can hustle for money oo only if you want to be involved in illegal businesses.
Factory jobs are available though if you can do it. Salary is 1600 but you might be asked to go to interior. I get people who dey do those kind jobs.
other jobs dey wey you go dey get daily money for survival.
Teaching jobs dey too, but salary nah problem
But if you're in TECH as advised by the person above me, you go get job with good payment.

Both the Jamaicans and the Africans, thr airline that makes a way for flights direct from the Caribbean will make $$$$$. Many want to visit the Caribbean but TRANSIT visa issue is a problem. |

I have been reading but this thread is for quick reference.
Which countries have faster?
Brazil + Mexico = are Good if you have a child there. They will also give temp residency for asylum.
Which others are QUICK, through children or other method?
usa is Useless because you have to wait for your child to turn 21 in the meantime you are undocumented. Plus with the current migrant crisis it is unpredictable what will.happen to those people. Canada = so many hoops to jump . through.
Most people aim for the 1st world countries but there are some in between countries that are worth a try.
Can we share so that those who are planning for 2024 have a chance.
God bless you all as we try for a better life. |
