I've seen many posts about how poor our midfielders and defenders are.

That is not the point here. Our midfielders and defenders are good enough by African standards. BUT when you play tactics that ensure they are always outnumbered and the ball is always flying over theirs heads from stupidly trying the rush the ball up front to the better players THEN you have a problem.

As far as we do not have a functional and consistent league, getting quality players for our age grade team will always be very difficult.

It is not a rocket science.
You need a well organized football league, the type that is not always interrupted by the league Management's or FA's politics or leadership crisis, a league that grooms and nurtures talents, a system that does not reward age cheats, where merit strives and players are chosen based on merit.

You see, if you researched properly you'll have realised that LPs petition is multifaceted. It not only covers you jagaban's mysterious past and his ineligibility to run for president, it also covers the process in which the elections were conducted.

The drug case has never been heard in a Nigerian court. When brought up the last time the merits of the case were never heard. The courts, clearly compromised by Tinubu, conveniently threw out the case using his immunity as a sitting governor as an excuse. There is a big difference between being acquitted by court and a case being deemed dead on arrival due to technicalities. This will be the first time the case is being heard and due to the profile of the case evidence will be coming directly from the bodies involved i.e. DEA and FBI. There would be no need for a team of players and game analysts as well as video analysts. We would not be sending teams of scouts to watch players up close and personal. There would be no need to write up a player review.

We would simply jump on one of the plethora of site's purporting to carry out players analysis and statistics. Clubs would on that basis alone buy the players they want.

I know too many football club recruitment head's and officers, none of them look at stats alone.

There are other things mentality, work rate, discipline, adaptability, culture, skill sets, technical ability, physicality, pace , resilience, etc , etc.

When I talk about players with any depth 75% of the time it's players I've seen up close and personal.

So I am giving you a first hand deduction and view, sometimes that view is augmented with talking to the coaching staff associated with the player. On the odd occasion I may speak 🗣️ with his agent as well.
