Politics / Re: $600m Chinese Rail Loan Not Diverted – Okonjo-iweala by wealthnet: 1:13pm On Aug 17, 2015
luvinhubby:
The more reason why Abdusalami's peace committee advice to Buhari is very appropriate, the veracity of such allegations needs to be investigated, parties involved questioned before any public statements on such matters.
I hope APC leaders like Oshiomhole is not pushing Buhari too hard to force him playing to the gallery.

Pls be objective and don't misinform Nigerian on this matter. How this involved APC leader pushing Buhari, this revealation came up when Ministry of Transport briefing Mr President of its activities and Mr President made cleared objective statement: "I hope the divertion followed due process, because for a loan specified for particular project to be diverted for another project".
Politics / Re: Saraki’s Emergence Not Illegal – NBA President by wealthnet: 9:57am On Jun 12, 2015
Honestly, Nigerian should blame APC for this. when Mr President told them to allow member to elect their leaders, they should've let it be, so that both Saraki and Lawan go for election for senate president and Dogara and Gbajabiamila for Speaker on the floor of the house without any shadow election by APC. But because nor of them have Nigeria interest in all their strugle except Mr President who made it cleared that he can work with any NASS leader even before the election and that was why you hear some of these political schemer and manipulator said PMB is a true and tough leader but not a Politician.
God protect PMB and bless Nigeria.
Politics / Re: NASS Clerk And Saraki Snubbed Buhari‘s Request – Garba Shehu by wealthnet: 9:36pm On Jun 10, 2015
Honestly, this is not good begining for APC and senate house. Desperation and human manipulation took place and schemers dramatized their skill. But is unfortunate for Mr president who refused to partake in the scheming because of rule of law, to uphold his oath in office, though he may not happy with the process but he accepted the outcome and urge the house leaders to focus on the task to bring positive change to Nigerian. This may be good for Nigeria. There may more drama ahead time will tell.
Politics / Re: Bukola Saraki Is The Senate President Of The 8th NASS by wealthnet: 12:13pm On Jun 09, 2015
Can Saraki swim along the tide of change in governance as it will be unfolded by PMB very soon because Saraki integrity is questionable as per his 8 years as Kwara State governor and the recent statement credited to him on Asset declaration. Time will tell.

Can any of these groups; Saraki's, Lawan's, Gbajamiabila's, Dogara's and APC NWC boldly tell Nigerians the interest of the Nation in all these strugle. Mr President the Man of nobody said is ready to work with any National Assembly leader. The APC should allow member to elect their Leader to prevent disunity in the house and party.

Good initiative, pls Mr Bolaji Abdulahi there is one policy analyst who i we sugest to be part of resource person, is name is Engr Bala Zakka a Chartant Accoutant and Petroleum Engineer. Channel TV or AIT can help you to locate him.
If APC and GMB want to get the change rigth, wherever they identify person whose contribution will make the change to be a reality for Nigeria, they should not hesitate to call such person. Typical example is Dr Akinwumi Adesina.
Politics / Re: Ex-militants Among Newly Elected Lawmakers In Rivers Assembly by wealthnet: 8:40am On Apr 16, 2015
It is pity for this to happened in 21st century when the world is seen Nigeria becoming democratic nation. If a man could buldozed PDP exco, PDP primary and people of Rivers state through militant nature, what do we expect in the RSHA. From May 29 Rivers State may return to era of bad governance we witness from 2002 to 2008 until Gov. Ameachi came and change it for good.
But we hope the Tribunal will do the needful to safe Rivers State from tout taking over the state and political grasschopper. May God help us.

Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by wealthnet: 12:03am On Jul 14, 2012
Treasury Bill is one of good instrument CBN is using to control the liquidity and manage the economy.Get these fact on T/Bill as stated below:
*Issuer is the Federal Government through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
*Typically, Nigerian Treasury Bills are zero-risk and rediscount-able through licensed Money Market Dealers. The Rates are offered on a discount basis and are often referred to as risk-free rates.
* Primary Issue of 91 days and 182 days are offered bi-monthly, while 364 days bills are offered monthly.
* The investor earns upfront interest, hence, invests discounted value.
* They are used by CBN as an instrument for managing liquidity through the Open Market Operations (OMO).
* They are traded actively in the secondary market amongst Banks and Discount houses on an outright or repo basis.
* Liquidity Status: The Nigerian Treasury Bills qualify for liquidity ratio computation.
* It also has an active two-way quote secondary market which provides additional liquidity for all the primary auctions.
* Tenors are short and range from 91, 182 and 364 days.
* Institutions or individuals can borrow using Nigerian Treasury Bills as collateral.
* You can invest as low as N100,000.00 in the Nigerian Treasury Bills.
* Avenue to create wealth and above all at this time of economic crisis where some stocks in capital market can not guarantee ROI as prompt as possible, i think T/Bill is alternative. Invest wisely and remain blessed.

Introduction of this woman into GEJ government is a good news if and only if GEJ will be sincerely work with her to transform Nigeria economy for wealth creation. Obj disgraced this woman when she stood on her decision as Minister of Finance. I hope GEJ will not do the same. Nigerian are watching, may God bless Nigeria.

Base on this, Tinubu merit to be leader of Yoruba.
Politics / Re: PDP Ministerial List By State by wealthnet: 9:05pm On May 28, 2011
phemmin369:

Fellow Nairalanders, what is all this furore about that list. Do you expect something different? NOTE: No bad manufacturer can produce any good product. PDP is a bad party, they cannot bring out any good thing. GEJ and all of them are the same thing, after all birds of the same feather flock together. If you have any dreams or good expectations from the in-coming administration, prepare to have your hopes to be shattered now!. welcome to another 4 years of nothingness, grin grin grin

I agreed with you, this list alone is a signal. But let see how GEJ will play his card where OBJ, Mr fix it etc present to him their joker. God bless Nigeria and safe us from all these consumers.

Business / Re: CBN Imposes Limits, Penalty On Cash Transactions, Again! by wealthnet: 6:39pm On Apr 29, 2011
stagger:

Before people begin to scream and shout, we have to ask ourselves: WHAT IS CASH?
Answer: A medium of exchange.

In bringing out this policy, I am quite sure the CBN will roll out other methods of exchanging money for goods and services such as deployment of POS terminals everywhere.

Large amounts can always be paid via cheque.

Ideally speaking, we should not be carrying cash around. We are in the 21st century and we should start transiting from obsolete methods of doing things to the modern way, which is introducing a cashless society.

When there is no cash to exchange, robberies will cease, because there will be nothing to exchange for stolen items like cars, electronics, etc, and no cash to steal.

We are however going to see an increase in crimes like IT related thefts, such as hacking online accounts and possibly stealing and attempts to POS terminals. It is a natural transition.

For the budding entrepreneurs, this presents an opportunity. We are going to see deployment of modern methods of exchange. We will see opportunities for IT areas dealing with cyber security, cyber forensics, deployment of software solutions, transactions via phone applications, etc.

Rather than scream and shout about the policy, we need to tap into the opportunity. I am already meeting with my team to decide where the cash will come in.

My only problem is the politicians; they are the ones who launder money, spray cash in parties to show off their wealth, and use money for elections. They will definitely try to kill the policy.

Let's watch what happens.

Yes, i agreed with you, it is good policy for nation development and growth but CBN need to know that there are many challenges for it as far as Nigeria is concern. The big challenge is infrastructures and public enlightenment. This man call Sanusi is one of transformer of our time, Nigeria need to transform this nation for good but he needs our support to achieve greatness for this country through monetary policies.

Where are the security apparatus in this country[ SSS, Police, ATS, ABS, Army, Navy, Air force etc.]?. The insecurity situation is a serious threat to unity of this country. Let Mr President take a serious and sincere decision on this because every part of Nigeria belongs to his constituency. All the Heads of these various security outfit are under Presidency.

haha, the first igbo man has kissed the dust!
I HAVE ALWAYS SAID IT: IGBOS HAVE NO BUSINESS IN GOVERNMENT- they should stick to thier spare parts markets and Nollywood acting role they are known for! Governance in Nigeria is for the serious minded not for a people who gave Nigeria one to many Senate president within the space of 4 years! Yet they want to be president by 2015 - i dey laugh oh oh, '

oh by the way forget this initial grah grah from uncle Jonny, na today yansh dey back? We all know he is spinelesss and this is just a knee jerk reaction to a problem that goes beyond mere sacking of a minister who (going by the nigerian constitution) can not give orders to the IGP yet they want him to go quell angry moabs.

If Mr. Jonny wants to show us he is taking this issue serious, then put the minister for police affairs,NSA, IGP, Commandant civil defense corps, on immediate suspension and ask the head of military formations to take over matters of security in much of the northern states with a 24hrs patrol. This will send a signal to every region that the government of the day values every life in Nigeria and not just those of the PDP elites!

What a display of idiocy

adconline, i agreed with you but let's see the formation of new cabinet after May 29, which will shows direction of GEJ govt. God bless Nigeria.
