This is coming after the singer best known for his hit single, "One in a Million," was seen acting stranger than his usual self. In a video that went viral in August of 2023, the 34-year-old artist was seen roaming the street barefooted and looking unkempt while chanting words that didn't make sense. The video caused a lot of concern for his fans, who took to social media to express their worry. Some even suggested that he might be suffering from mental health issues. Initially, fans who had sighted the Delta native recently at an event insisted that that cannot be the same person they saw all happy and in good health while performing on stage.
Thonyb: Veteran Nigerian singer John Odafe Asiemo, aka Daddy Showkey, has revealed that he has been receiving death threats following his comment on the death of rapper, Mohbad, who died in a controversial manner on September 12, 2023.
Daddy Showkey had, in an interview with media personality, Daddy Freeze, alleged that there was more to the rapper’s death and pointed singers at some powerful people in the music industry and society.
Returning to Daddy Freeze’s Instagram live session on Monday night, Showkey said he had been receiving threats from people in government since his last comment on Mohbad’s demise.
He said, “Daddy Freeze, do you know after my last interview with you, I received a lot of death threats? Do you know after that interview, even people in government were threatening me?
“I told them that they should go and watch your interview, did I said anything wrong? And what I’m saying, I’m saying the truth. You would not believe what I went through. I did not sleep throughout that night. They were just threatening me.
“Daddy Freeze, I don’t know what you are going through with all these things you are doing o. Because the kind of threats that they threatened me, I come dey talk say what of you?”

Featuring on Channels TV’s programme, Rubbin’ Minds, K-Solo insisted that Naira Marley was involved in the death of the 27-year-old singer.
He said, “Naira Marley is involved [in Mohbad’s death]. He cannot tell me he is not involved. He has a hand in his death.
“Somebody can’t be under your label and he is being bullied every day and you never came out to say anything. And you said you don’t know anything about it.
“You’re putting up a statement? Everybody can put up a statement. Naira Marley has an involvement in. He can’t tell me no.
“If I were Naira Marley, he should turn up himself. Come into this country, come and defend yourself. Put yourself out.
“Samlarry does not have anything to say. That one can be on the run forever because you can see his own evidence over your face. There are pictures. He cannot say that they are doctored.
“So, Naira Marley can never tell me he is not part of this. Anybody that is in his team that is still fooling him or telling him lies, they should better stop right now. He needs to come out and defend himself.

Glimpsetv: Mohbad's mother has finally broken her silence. Since the late singer's passing, many have wondered if she is still alive and why she has remained silent amidst all that has occurred.
In a brief video, speaking in the Yoruba dialect, the mother revealed, "My son never experienced peace during his lifetime. I couldn't speak out against all the lies Naira and his crew told about him due to fear... On the day he was apprehended by the NDLEA, he gave me money for the hospital.
