TheHulk616: After DC R rated movies flopped badly, you think successful MCU will follow that failed path. the true reason why dc movies are bad is because of the lead characters: they are so bland, unrelatable, humourless and misunderstood by their directors. e.g super man killing zod and destroying the city; or Batman making one liner jokes. I don't think Deadpool would have been successful if it wasn't r rated. as long as marvel delivers a great plot with deep characters, the movies will suceed--- whatever the rating. |

Zeemuthafuka: The MCU should also be rated R with characters like Hulk, the punisher, X-Men etc coming in so that they can fully explore those characters too Yes. Especially wolverine. |

TheHulk616: deadpool 3 is not R rated. A movie that is not out yet. Deadpool 3 will be PG13 I personally think every dceu movie should receive an r-rated treatment, considering how dark and edgy they can be. eg giving batman--- a character who literally tortures people--- a p.g 13 movie doesn't make sense. it'll hinder how deep they can explore said character. |

TheHulk616: deadpool 1 and 2 are not MCU products. So many young marvel fans in the world could not watch deadpool movies in the cinemas before they were R rated. Disney will never be ageist like that Uh, deapool 3 is r rated--- an mcu product. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by webhead: 9:26pm On Jan 21, 2021 |
TheHulk616: DC does not have original R rated characters. They are all converted to R rated to please the adults that dont read the comics. That's why marvel is better than DC because MCU will never make R rated movie. then what about Deadpool. |

Rorschach1: If Daredevil is really going to show up in Spider-Man 3, I wonder if Cox will play the same Netflix version or a new Marvel version. assuming all the rumors about the multiverse being in spider Man 3 is accurate, then I think that marvel will connect both their "universes". Wanda could burst open the multiverse after learning that her sitcom life was fake. then Murdock alongside millions of people (Deadpool is a possibility) suddenly find themselves in another universe--- the mcu one. just mere speculation. cool photo by the way. |

Darkprime: Someone rank Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Agents of Shield, Flash, Green Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Doom Patrol & Titans.
I would think I'd love to watch Titans but that initial trailer never sit right with me. Nor did I ever hear this was a must watch. Daredevil, Flash, doom patrol, Green arrow, Titans, legends of tomorrow. |

1000WaysToLive: Agatha Harkness is certainly possible.
An idea just popped into my head that perhaps she is connected to the Ancient One
Maybe Strange catches note of the damage she’s doing to the space time continuum by manipulating Wanda and that’s what attracts his attention.
My speculation is that if Hahn is Harkness then the MCU version is possibly a former disciple of The Ancient One gone rogue.
Generic idea but I do think it’s likely Agnes being a socerer apprentice turn villain is a possibility, given how Wanda vision is tied to doctor strange 2 |

Cottonmouth: I am doubtful. I mean, I do agree that Agnes is almost certainly Agatha, but the thing is, she consistently pokes and prods and involves herself in Wanda's life, makes odd asides, and just generally. . . calls attention to the seams, at least indirectly.
If Agnes were actively trying to keep Wanda trapped, she wouldn't be doing most of the things she's doing.
She's probably on the side of the light, she's just as ensnared by the reality bubble as the two main heroes are, more or less. okay. you have a point. |

1000WaysToLive: Guy, you misunderstood the post
I'm not dissing the quality of Marvel films.
On the contrary, i'm drawing attention to the fact that the MCU is the most critically acclaimed franchise scoring back to back hits with none of the films being outrightly slaughtered by critics.
The argument was how long it would take before the MCU got their first stinker.
As for The Incredible Hulk & Thor TDW, those movies were not critically panned. Both movies were scored "Fresh" on RT. They were divisive at best.
The MCU hasn't had a rotten film on RT since it's inception in 2008 Okay. judging by how far Kevin Feige is wanting to push their overall baseline of quality, I don't see the high standards of the movies falling anytime soon. I believe that phase 4 movies will be their best, yet. there might be some mediocre movies (not terrible) in between but no way it'll pull down the weight of the franchise. |
TV/Movies › Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by webhead: 7:23am On Jan 16, 2021 |
So, who do you guys think is the villian of the Wanda-vision series.
I would say it is Agatha harkness.
there's a scene in episode 2 where she tells Wanda to act unnaturally around Donny. but Wanda thinks she should just be herself.
Agatha is utterly shocked when Wanda says "or maybe I could just be myself"--- which might mean that Agatha wants Wanda to live a false life, that's why she trapping her in a fake world. (even though it's what Wanda has always wanted).
in the comics, Agatha is a very powerful witch. she even teaches Wanda how to use her powers.
this is just speculation, so I might be wrong.

Agents of Shield wasn't produced by marvel studios, so it isn't MCU property anything under the MCU is marvel studios property whether it was produced by them or not and your initial comment did not specify movies,it said the MCU is the most .........
but they aren't connected to the mcu, right? |

Cottonmouth: Captain Marvel 2? *ducks* ( No, I don't seriously think that. I did not like Captain Marvel, but if anything I expect the sequel to be a better movie. )
If I had to make a serious guess, honestly, I'm really worried about Spider-man 3. They seem to be cramming so much stuff into it, that doesn't thematically fit with the arc of the solo movies so far, but does fit with shamelessly aping into the spiderverse along with cramming every drop of fan service into it. That does not bode well when Sony still has joint custody. It might turn out to be a Ragnarok-style tone shift that totally works and is awesome, but I think its far more likely to be an incoherent dumpster fire. I think the movie will have two parts like Avengers: infinity war and endgame. trust me, Sony has learnt their lesson from Sam raimi spider Man 3 and amazing spider Man 2 |

1000WaysToLive: Don't you guys think it's scary how no Marvel Studios product has ever been widely panned by critics?
The MCU is the most critically acclaimed franchise in history so far,. even Pixar has had a stinker with Cars 2 with 39% on RT
Unfortunately there's a first time for everything. I wonder when that will happen for Marvel. so, what are you insinuating? I think mcu movies are a big improvement over the many low quality films that fill Hollywood these days. that's not to say that every mcu movie is great, but that it is a franchise cares more about quality. also, Incredible Hulk and Thor the dark world have been bashed by critics. |

TheHulk616: are there fight scenes? Pual bettany said that the show will evolve over the course of the episodes--- as in it'll gradually change from a classic sitcom-like show to the exhilarating blockbuster mcu movie we are all familiar with. (with lots of action of course) |
