Antanananovic: Hi bro. What is important is to determine your content strategy after choosing your general niche - fiction or nonfiction. And that simply means how you get content for a book in a hot selling niche.
as a beginner like yourself, I clicked the "look inside" feature to preview the information inside the table of contents of the book I was interested in.
I think you are just overwhelmed with getting or maybe, writing words going to thousands. it scares you and is discouraging you.
what you can do is have a writing plan where you push out a thousand words per day. Once you have determined the keywords and the research aspect of the game.
Yea! see it as a game; it might trick your brain to get your mind pumped up for writing. For now, writing will be hard. it was for me when I started November last year, but pushing out 1000 words on a daily basis will make writing easier in the long run, and you no longer see it as a huge task.
But who says that you need to write 11,000 words or more to get started? The first book I wrote was 4,000 words. See what the content volume is all about in the niche that you choose, your niche is different to mine and may require more words or less.
Relax and just enjoy the game. Be open to learn more about it and use the kdp resources provided for publishers.
Remember that no one will hold you by the hand to push out the content that will put your book out there competing with those that have long been in the game before you.
I am two months in and have made two sales already. I had to stick to the writing and research process and repeated several things along the way.
2 sales may mean nothing to those that are making more, but it pumps my blood to write dead in the night.
Wow! I feel like a motivational speaker..hahaha
Besides, you have all you need on this thread. So get back to work and get that money! thanks. I think I'll settle for writing a 5000 word book first. your posts is very helpful and motivating. I wish you more success in your kdp career. |

Antanananovic: Hi bro. My pricing strategy is simple bro. I asked myself if these people know my papa? or if they know the king in my village?
The answer is clear; I have no leverage or anything.
so the wise thing I did was pegging the price at $0.99. It worked out for me, others may have a different experience.
the length of my book is about 115 pages. in words, that is about 14,000-16,000 words.
Have a blast bro! thanks for your response, bro but I'm confused as to how you were able to fill 16000 words in a 115 book? |

Emceecee: Tip, i used to be overly concerned with this also, but i think the problem is trying to get it right the first time. We already use pen names, if the book fumbles, we'll just use another name. I remember when i started reading and ilegend wrote that a beginner without any mentor should expect to start profiting in 6 months. i thought it was too long, but now i can say i've been here longer and at least i can say there's progress.
Lesson - Write and see what happens, gain experience and improve. But to answer the question, just see look your competitors own. thanks for the great tip. |

adeadeyera: I have time for fools like this, leave am. I made it abundantly clear early on that it was all cruise but not with this demented wannabe writer. Liar! you had childishly insulted the op, before you said "it's a cruise" due to all the backlash you received from nairalanders. Now I've discovered what your biggest problem is: it's not your lack of knowledge or pride; it's your obsession of finding other's faults. I am 100 percent sure that you stared at my post for more than 30 mins before finding my typo ( which I am proud of) whenever I see a typo of mine, it makes me humble because i remember that I'm still human, even though I write exceptionally beautiful sentences every day. |

adeadeyera: Oh! Your idiocy has assumed an all high dimension. Of course, of monumental proportion. So, I inferred that I didn't know what a draft is? From stupidity to idiocy and now to plain madness. You need serious help o. You don kolo! you moved from not comprehending simple sentences to being proud that you are wrong--- and back to not understanding simple sentences again! you said you need not to prove to me that you know what a draft is and now I am telling you that you don't know what it is, judging by all the abominable explanations that you have been given about the subject. or should I use pidgin? u dey craze? |
Romance › Re: My Experience With An Abuja Babe.. by webhead: 8:48pm On Jan 11, 2021 |
adeadeyera: I don't have to prove to you that I know what a draft is. What you have to prove to me and others following is whether you're not an idiot. However, nothing in all the exchanges suggest otherwise, IDIOT! God! so, your still proud to be wrong! you know what a first draft is, yet you elucidate it incorrectly. only two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former--- Albert Einstein. |

adeadeyera: You're a wannabe. You don't know jacksh!t and you think you do. You're an unfortunate dumbo. Irredeemable! I would have taken this post to heart, but i remembered that the person who typed this has been blindly arguing with me for a few days. dude, are you sure you know what Google is ? just type in "what is a first draft " and everything is settled. oh, wait I almost forgot: even if you saw that I am right, you won't admit--- because of your pride-induced attention seeking. peacock! |
Romance › Re: My Experience With An Abuja Babe.. by webhead: 7:03pm On Jan 11, 2021 |
adeadeyera: You're actually the unsophisticated here. The IDIOT. at least I know what a first draft is, unlike you who can argue till the second coming, even when you truly don't know anything. |

You're an idiot. you are apathetically hilarious. |
Romance › Re: My Experience With An Abuja Babe.. by webhead: 5:31pm On Jan 10, 2021 |
adeadeyera: Your abjectness is visible to all, yet you can't see it. A 'writer' who can't spell GRAMMAR and DRAFT, and yet wants to prove what point? Bush meat! continuing to argue with you is pointless and unproductive. I literally have a first draft to complete tommorow, so going through the previous threads to show you your Grammer and syntax errors is a waste of time. to be honest, maybe I shouldn't have insulted you, after you First insulted me. but I hope you can swallow your seemingly unbreakable pride and learn. |
Romance › Re: My Experience With An Abuja Babe.. by webhead: 4:52pm On Jan 10, 2021 |
adeadeyera: Say no more. Stay put at being an idiot. You can never be a writer. why should a mouse tell a lion that he isn't a lion. the fact that you don't know know what a draft entails proves that you are just an average guy who owns a phone with a keyboard. I don't need your validation to become a writer: I am already one. maybe not a great one ---Yet--- but I am better than you. |
