Boss you have spoken the truth, though not all is agreed on, like the Angryigboman part of not applying this to his life method. You never can tell bcuz he doesn't come here to show off.

But on the other hand dreaming and reality are two different medium.

Success by mouth is different from the physical wealth, and here wealth is different from riches you can be rich health wise or financially but doesn't mean all round.

The main point here is to always Dream It-Pray For It-Work the Work. Nothing will drop on your lap like manna.

I want you to all analyse this; 2 Farmers are praying for rainfall, to start their planting season. One was praying and at the same time tilling the land in preparation, while the other was just praying and fasting and sleeping.

Which 1 do you think God will answer first.

In all pls pray and work the work.

I hustle now not to Hustle later. Like me carrying my knapsack up and down lagos in fact holding danfo for back to move within lagos
Last last everybody go dey alright.

Make this people approve my papers then am off this rock.
The farmer that was preparing will be answered sharp sharp.
To me ehailing is a wonderful business if you have anoda side hustle with it, see people like madam rad, humble gazzuz , quote master dru23 and even you all have multiple side hustle with what you have, I just feel if you solely depend on ehail business then your in trouble.
Please can you take feli with you if them approve your paper

How dare you bite the finger that fed you! Show gratitude. If ehailing were to be human how do you think it will feel regarding your remark. I think a lot of us just needs to be grateful for the opportunity life has offered us to put bread on the table without begging.

In life you have to remain steadfast, disciplined and focused if you have to get anything out of it. Its never going to be easy and if anyone tells you otherwise then its all lies.

If you get a good paying job today would you say your primary education got you the job? But that primary education was part of the process that got you to where you are, though fundamental but vital likewise ehailing. Ehailing should be seen as a fundamental aspect as we journey through.

Take out of ehailing what ehailing is willing to offer. Ehailing is not a one shop for everything. But at the same time can be everything depending on how you look at it.

During one of my ride requests I met this young girl, quite bright and intelligent. We connected and when I dropped her at her place she offered me to come into her house: its a 2 or 3 story building; each floor is a bed room except for the ground floor which serves as the sitting room. She pays 1.2m p.a. Won't go into her life details because I asked her why pay this much when you can actually build your own? She said she's already doing that!

The reason for this story is because this girl suggested to me a brilliant business idea I could venture into considering where I worked which was something I never thought about. So understanding your terrain and the little opportunities it offers is key to your survival. Being successful in life is knowing how to pick up data from your surrounding and converting that data into meaningful information that you can then use.

I guess what I am trying to say is: ehailing is a fat cow, how you milk her determines what you'll get out of her. Don't complain embrace it.

I drove for my 1st partner in 2017 (which didn't end well)
I drove for my 2nd partner in 2018
I bought my car from the proceeds I made while driving for my partners around September 2018.

I worked for myself 2018, 2019, 2020

And still working 2021. About to resign and upgrade my hustle

I have savings close to N2 million naira in my account currently with discipline and self denial of luxury and pleasure ( I have evidence and proof of bank balance)

Looking back at journey of doing ehailing for 4years. I will sincerely tell u that the energy, time and effort still doesn't worth it.

Ehailing doesn't have potential and capacity to give me the money I want.

Its a rat race, its time consuming and very stressful in correlation to money u make.

And there is limit to what u can make as a driver.

Like kanuisagoat said "Some people want more out of this life"
I dont get your message like it is contradicting itself, well to me you are actually successful, most people that do office jobs cannot still boast of 200k in their account after many years of working if you add both federal and state workers except those that do illegal runs.

To be successful in this life it is time consuming and stressful but successful people will not tel you that, every one loves the good life but favour and mercy will allow few people get to that level not every1 will get there

He has a point Felicity. Yes, ehailing will put food on the table, you will be able to cater for you immediate needs and provide for you family but there are people who want more than this from life.

People who drive the E350s, AMGs and the Lx470s don't have two heads. Yes, some might be making the money illegitimately but many others are also making legit money. You say you have paid your 3 bedroom flat in Abule Egba but many others have also bought duplexes in Lekki.

In this same country, there are people who have collected upfront of 4m naira from their employers this January alone. That is the kind of money some people want to to have and the life they aspire to live and you'll agree with me ehailing is never going to give you that.

Let me give you this homework. Look at the screenshot someone posted. He drove 197mins to gross 5200. How many minutes will he drive to buy a 2010-2012 E350 that sells at 5m naira grin
You head is there, Ehailing business will just make you remain on a round table goin in circle till you get dizzy and fall but if you have side business with ehailing then it make more sense but some people have also have found favour from it by meeting the right people so it is 50/50 but all heads are not the same, I actual prefer it that goin to one office doin yes sir nd at the end of the month no salary but stories, ehailing my faith is in my hands

I want you to pulse a minute and ask yourself "where is my humor?"

Stop this attitude of "I'm perfect and better", that you're privilege to be a citizen of the USA doesn't make you better than the person next to you or do you think you're the only Nigerian with a citizenship card in the USA? Calm down and be humble for God is not stupid.

Just some piece of advice there, I know youll come back with a clap back but I'll tell you, you don't know you to 2% of who I'm, what I'm or capable of so I'll leave you to continue in your seriousness and childishness because ive outgrown that stage in life.

I am new to Uber. I want to get a HP for a Toyota Corolla tokunboh.
Price of car is 2.3m
HP is 4m.
Weekly remittance: 25k

Told the owner 4m is too much.

I am asking the house, was I right or is that price (4m) what is obtainable?
That money is awhole lot to do a business that there will be some uncertainty of so many factors that might make you to never pay that money complete and it is very painful to put in your best and at the end it end badly.
4m is averaging 1.2m a year for the next 3yrs and 5month.
We dont even know whch yeye policy this Lagos state govt will dish out for uber and bolt but incase you decide to venture into please do a comprehensive insurance to help out in case of.

3drivers it is possible but not 2, one must fall sick and in this Lagos, if it is not crazy customer or lasma it will be police or it will be task force or tear and wear will slow them down. To many factors that cant make it possible in Lagos alone

I see people here advising on how Hybrids are very good for ehailing

But this is not Texas, Georgia or London..

This is Nigeria; a place where your hybrid car has to go through bumpy and dusty roads, flooded road and spend hours in traffic, most of the time

Let's not talk about how it would be difficult to find technicians when issues arise

Make we dey watch sha grin
Exactly let just wait and see

I stand to be corrected. Hybrids are not a good car for ehailing in Lagos

Please don't misinform people abeg. The simple reason is because there are very few technicians that can handle it.

Cars are machines and their efficiency is below a 100%. If your hybrid car stops at Alakuko, or a bus stop at Shangisha, are you advising the driver to just call anyone to look at it?

And please stop talking about fuel. The number cost in this business is maintenance.

I can net 20k driving on batteries alone, and a bad shock absorber would take it all away
Why worry yourself let the person use the hybrid and tell us the tales by moonlight of the pain.
Experience is a better teacher than advice
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Weightless: 8:58pm On Jan 18, 2021
Felicity0001:
Get it registered and recruit a driver for it then. 25k is standard for a corolla. Don't do 100% maintenance but pls dont ask me "why?"

Fix the car to a good standard, that's if it has any issue. Carry out the first servicing. Body work? Fix it and spray.

The driver should be taking care of servicing at every 2000 or 3000miles. This us how you shiuld go about it.

Reset the "A" odo meter then tell him to bring the car to you @every 2000,2500 or 3000miles (according to professional advice) for servicing and when he's coming he should come along side a semi synthetic oil (it's N5,500 for the now). Oil filter maybe 1500 or the 2.5k own. But if you choose to use full synthetic Sir please know that no driver will be ready to do that from his/her pocket ooh so you may have to come on that.

As for the maintenance, let driver handle minor issues but if at the end of the month the accumulation on general maintenance that very minth is above 10k and within 20k on his path with a total remittance of N100k, then it will be nice of you to do a refund to him like a bonus for that month.

For cases of accident, theft and other kinds... Sir pls get a comprehensive insurance. For minor scratches and bashes driver should be able to take care of it without even involving you or the insurance company. Me if I jam person or person jam me I take care of it without even involving my partner unless it's very serious. i.e how me I work ooh. I can't talk for another person.

Insurance companies wey get sense should know that they should install a tracker on their cars. You can install yourself for person tracking and to aviod stories like the one luxerydriver posted lately on his channel.

P.S: pictorial evidence of repairs in your absence should be forwarded to you WhatsApp for records keeping.

Am I missing any thing? Please ask where necessary.

These are the few managerial skills I've acquired in my few years on the hustle.
And you complain of jp 30k a week. So a partner should remit 25k a week and should be responsible for the car maintenance and minor fixes, if you follow this advice you car will not last 7month.

At bolded part, your so predictable.
Well dru23 as bn surviving without a toyota car and I can say he is doing very gr8.
my friends one as been using a kia cerato for 2yrs plus now nd the car is still fine and a guy I met of recent is using a Honda DC 2007 for over 1yr plus nd they are both fine.
The thing about cars is avoiding bad areas, having a good maintenance culture and great mechanic like boss lady radu, gazzuz and youtube

Quite uncalled for, I’d say.

I wish people could stop getting unnecessary emotional.

People like Gazzuzz that exited know why they did.

Cars are no more cheap. If it were that easy, everyone would have theirs or even owners have more than enough to buy from remittance.

Don’t be surprised some people would have higher rules if they happen to be an owner partner.

Jpworld I sincerely like your business acumen.
There is kia, Hyundai, city, civic, Peugeot and Nissan cars way cheaper than Toyota that people can afford to get.
Well can tell him I dont like his attitude or how he treat is business partners but I have no right to tell him how to manage or run it.

From personal and business observations, your bolded prints equates to about 70% excuses ......

80% of drivers that drove for me should be able to own their cars by now .. When I started the ehailing business. I wanted to create a business model that will benefit both the driver and car owner.

When other partners were using naija used cars to give to drivers , I was using tokunbo cars , when others were splitting maintenance cost with drivers ,I was handling 100% of maintainence myself, when the market rate was high I came down a bit for some drivers and I was still responsible for 100% vechicle maintenance.....

So after I implemented the above model. Drivers will still wreck the cars and come up with excuse not to deliver. It was either one personal excuse or the other .. Some drivers feel that they were doing me a favor etc ...... With all my business I try to create a business model that benefit eveyone ... Now with some of my drivers delivery is between 20k to 25k weekly compare to the market value of 30k naira or more... If a driver is patience enough he can save up and buy the car he is driving ..but most will not do that.... So if they are not discpline enough to make use of the opportunities am giving them ,how can they move on to bigger things..
I am not saying it is not possible but I think it is very difficult for a married man to actual save and own a car, if he is the only one taking care of the family except he as side hustle plus ehailing but if you are single their is no excuse at all not to own your car after 2yrs
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Weightless: 7:22am On Dec 05, 2020
Dont know why you people like attacking jpworld, why not attack the dishonest drivers that have made things difficult for their owners and made them not to trust the honest ones.
See what Dru23 did and drivers still took advantage of it, it Is JP cars and his rules if him like let him say 35k per week or 50k per week, he owns the car he is not a child we should learn to respect peoples decision.
