AngryIgboDon: Yesterday was hell. I barely escaped traffic from Lekki to Ikate. 7 kilomtres trip was showing 2 hours to destination. Mad oo.
I was at Ogba around 9 pm. I got a request on Uber going to Sango from Obawole. I called rider to know if the trip is that night or next year. Rider changed it for me on the phone and threatened to report me to Uber.
This morning, Uber deactivated my account for "Too Much" cancellations. I mailed Uber immediately and told them that should they reactivate my account and send me bad and stupid trips, I will cancel all of them again twice on Sunday. Uber ran mad.
They upgraded my status from Civilian Miscreant on Probation to Unrepentant Terrorist on permanent ban. They have changed my profile to permanent deactivation.
Bolt Ti Takeover.... Stupid Uber. Lmao this guy ur truely angry but why will you pple be using uber at this period when on a norm na wrong pickup location they do give. If you dont know any shortcut or not familiar with areas please stay at home, if you work this period you will regretfully go home with more pain that gain. My cars is resting nd flexing since monday after taking 3hrs to wash interior |

Just saw this on twitter. I think ehailing drivers should be very careful this wild period and please we should be very conscious when it comes to picking people at night, bolt and uber need to do alot of screening and should be held responsible for anything that happens to any driver on their platform when such things happen becoz I know it cant happen in other developed countries. Lastly please avoid offline trips if it is not your regular customer.

AngryIgboDon: Inasmuch as InDriver is another platform to earn money, there is really no need of being pennywise, pounds foolish. I have come to discover that its not worth it at all.
Bolt takes at least 3,500 to 4000 for a trip from Ogba to Lekki. You claim inDriver is better than Bolt. Then Why should drivers be accepting trips on inDriver for Ogba to Lekki at 2,500? If Bolt charges 4,000 for same trip, will their Commission on that trip be upto 1500? Why cheat yourselves in the false deception that you are taking everything on inDriver? The funny part of it is that it doesn't count in traffic.
Drivers beware of this. Nigerians know how to use people and abuse things. inDriver is using this strategy to cheat you. I just did my calculations and found out that it doesnt worth it. Yesterday I saw hell on earth. I took a trip on indriver from Ikoyi to Ikeja for 2500. I was so happy thinking its a good deal. Not until I was in traffic on Osbourne for 5 good hours. For 5 hours of my life, I was still stuck inside Ikoyi and it was not counting.
On Bolt, same trip will be up to 7,000 or more. Nwanne, I saw hell on Osbourne. All my hand and leg muscles are gone. Am deleting this useless InDriver app immediately. Let me focus on Bolt and my Fish farms as my source of income. I no do inDriver again.
InDriver, 1 million years of suffering for you and your developers cum riders.

Sorry about d ordeal. I believe you are a new to the game.
There's no point in waiting for a rider that has refused to pick your calls nor return them. It shows indifference on d part of d rider, so you shouldn't waste your time on such.
You don't cancel, hmmmn, time is money in ride hailing, you can cancel but within d allowances given. Moreover, rider said, he/she trekked to d destination, so it was a short trip.
Always weigh d comparative cost analysis of your time vis a vis the destination of the said rider.....
Uber/ Bolt / Indrive, preferences differ, the bottomline is, are you making something substantial within the Nigerian context. Lol not new in the game and I am my own boss so i have alot of time. I was tired that period so I just use that pportunity to rest and eat my food. So you believe The person trekked for 9kms a lady for that mata not a guy naah and I just wanted to share my experience. |

This is why uber beat bolt hands down, last nite I waited for a rider for close to 35mins after calling the rider to notify her of my arrival, she said i will join you soon. So after waiting for the first 5mins, I called and she did not pick, den I call again in anoda 5mins stil she did not pick kept calling and calling coz i hardly cancel trips only wen I encounter rude riders. So I left her a message by 8:21pm after 8missed call on her fone and she replied mi 9pm. Funny part while waiting for her i was taking my time to eat my shawarma nd a cold drink 2 step down.

You reveal so much about who you really are only by typing. You are not the discreet type, always trying to throw shades at others that don't agree with you, or even your ex partners.
Before Dru, you had a partner here and you came here to tell us how she collected her car from you too.
Now you come again to say, you don't care about your partner (third party). Its just you and yourself..
Sincerely bro, I don't care if you pay 2000 every month as rentals. It's God's blessings for you
By the grace of God too, I will never collect a car for rental in my life too. I've passed this hustle and I've moved on to better things.
Stop rubbing your supposed success on our faces. You're not the only one God has blessed or is blessing[/color] People that talk 2much tend to give them self away with so many incoherence. I totally understand your point whch is do what favour you the must, that is if you can slave your self for 2yrs plus for a car that after that 2yrs the car will be mite be written off or you do rental and work towards other goals of your life but people tend to do copy copy and forget that all fingers are not equal. To mi hp is mostly good for single guys or married pple that have a working class partner that earn high so dey can help out. |

Felicity0001: With all due respect Sir, you made a valid point but have you try to look deep into why Uber went into this partnership with MOOVE?
Uber is a household name but has just a little fraction of the market share in Nigeria. So by pulling out quality cars which MOOVE brought in to serve their customers I believe that within the space of little time they'll take over the market from their competitors.
The idea of using America standard as same 8n Nigeria wont work is not fact. How many businesses originated from Nigeria? Even the education we have is from the western world so why won't it work here as well?
The car we are even talking about is no big deal, its group d clearance is even higher than the popular Honda civic with the factory 14rim. Banks, cooperate organisations and individuals use this brands of cars on the daily apart from the issue that it's parts will be a little bit more expensive than the conventional 03-07 Corolla anything other than that is d same. From engine down to transmission.
The two weeks daily delivery of the car to their workshop is for lots of reasons structured out in their business plan and not all drivers will qualify to continue driving with them after these two weeks.
Though the idea may seems crazy to many but what I see in this is just a market strategy and in few years they'll breakeven.
What small scale investors should do now is keep a close watch and study the trend very well because anything can change at any time. Your very wrong here, try and read what dru23 wrote again den u will understand better, do you know how much it will cost to maintain dos cars not to talk of the bad roads we have here dat will spoil ur shocks and mad danfo drivers, keke nd korope that will nearly destroy the cars,. Then we have not talk of the 500naira trip or they want to segregate by having more of the rich class patronizing them. They will park their load and run away after 1yr into the business, just use brt bus as a yard stick and see horrible they look rite now nd badly some of them are |

Even the young man that wanted to load a whole container into my car had the hand writing of village people written over it.

This young man that wanted me to change my Engine Sitting, Coils, Spark Plugs, 4 hubs, 4 Shocks, Suspensions, Tie rod, Bearings, Shaft, Gear box, Low arm Bushing, Stabilizer Bushing, Linkage and four tyres after one trip to Lekki... Its my earnest prayers that God will punish you forever.

peeps4u: If you were buying at a 'good' filling station when the price was lower and still buy at the same filling station now, Do you still get same quantity of fuel? Fuel station isn't the issue here but the rising price of fuel while the fair is still the same. The kind of "I no want trouble" solution we proffer to situations in Nigeria is disturbing. Subtract 162- 148 = 14naira difference so if u buy 30 litres now, dat will be 14naira x 30= that 420 naira whch is just not to 3litres of fuel. Now if u buy in a tampered filling station u will feel it more. There is nothing I or any person can do for now till election period, even uber and bolt we have not won the fight against dem it is now govt we wan challenge. |

Question we should be asking lagos state govt is why so many levies on the drivers, there is lasdri, hackney nd now 2 more only in lagos alone. Uber and bolt should either reduce their commissions or all drivers should look for a way of coming together and reason as one by find a way of creating a new similar app that will rival both bolt and uber with less commission. |

AngryIgboDon: What am about to write is just to motivate drivers who are dulling to grind harder.
Honestly, I still cant believe someone was given a car at 10k and he still had the temerity to shalaye.
I want to tell you guys what happened to me this past two days and how I made much money with Bolt alone. I don't want to say the amount. Mind you I just came back to Lagos on Friday. After driving for 8 hours non stop. I know a lot of you will say its a lie but I don't have anything to proove to anybody. I would have uploaded screenshots but I have a principle. I chopped both the 4k bonus and the 2.8k bonus. Thats 6,800 I did not work for. Its just a bonus. I find it funny that the luxurydriver guy couldn't even get it because of ordinary one trip? Can you imagine? Are you a learner? Some of you dull oo.
Again, If not the fact that am aware Bolt and Uber agents monitor this thread, I would have uploaded screenshots. But then, it will be easy to nab me. I refuse to shalaye like Felix and leak trade secrets.
The funny part is that I just came back to Lagos last week Friday like I said. I drove for 8 hours all the way from Owerri. But that did not deter me to work the next day Saturday. Immediately I came back that Friday, I started my bolt app and saw weekend bonus of 4k. To get it, I had to accept 95% trips, Complete 75% of accepted trips, be online for 15 hours and complete 20 trips in all. Lol.
Na today? We have been in this game for long and we know all the tricks. By the time I woke up around 8am the next day, I was already online working for 12 hours . Remaining 3 hours. Don't ask me how I did it. Its a miracle working God.
I set my destination to Surulere. The king of short trip area. Within 3 hours, I have already done 8 short trips within surulere. I set destination to Lekki. Another king of short trips. Within another 2 hours, I have done over 10 trips in Lekki alone. Please nobody should ask me how I get short trips. Its a trade secret and I know how I get it. Think whatever you want to think and infer whatever you want to infer... You may be wrong. How I do mine may be totally different from yours. I agree with the surulere short trips, I got 15trips surulere alone was just smiling. But u know friday 2 sunday are busy days if u go during the week u will not make up 2 9 trips in 3days |
