Politics › BREAKING: Court Orders Abia Gov, Ikpeazu, To Vacate Office by wellmax(op): 2:16pm On Jun 27, 2016
A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, to vacate office immediately for submitting false information to his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, for the party’s governorship primary in December 2014.

Justice Okon Abang in a judgment on Monday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to immediately issue a certificate of return to the plaintiff, Uche Ogah, who polled the second highest number of votes in the primary.

PoundspassDolla:
INEC is setting bad experience..... Why will they monitor the primary election of the other group and will not monitor sheriff's group, then waiting for the court to give judgement before knowing the group they recognize, won't that bring confusion on the party members?what if the judgement favors sheriff, they'll come back and apologize to him I guess........ I wonder who schooled this set of ppl. SMH
Its because unlike you they think with their head.
Did you read where they pointed out when primaries should have been concluded? If the court upholds Sheriff's faction, they will not have a choice than to grant his faction a waiver and hold another primary. For now its better to err on the side of caution.

And its not setting 'bad experience', it is setting 'bad precedence'. Now I'm schooling you.

You call a criminal activity "talent". Can we ever move forward in Nigeria with people like this?
If you want to show "talent", do your own and sell at your price. What they have done is called counterfeiting for crying out loud.

2BB4CB3E:
Abeg forget PDP and their drama

Listen eh
I have been on nairaland for months, I have noticed one thing, we might all be bias with our views but one thing is common! We are all not happy!
Funny thing is that when an igbo man says the truth the yoruba man argues not because he is not saying the truth but because its coming from an igbo man!
No tribe is useless people
Hausa people might hold juicy positions but let's be honest for once! They have more integrity than we southerners! Do you know that most banks in America are controlled by jews because they are trustworthy and don't mess around with people's money, do your research! Aren't there American that are bankers?
Now my igbo brothers am from delta state got nothing against you people but honestly no one is marginalising you guys! Funny enough you're the one going about claiming that you're not recognised and that ure treated differently aint no one's fault
I served in the east! Before I got a house to rent eh! Many old igbo men saying no! Or was it buses that I entered and they will all be speaking igbo! Why won't I feel unwanted 2moro I am thinking about changing my location I won't consider east! You want to be recognised!
Reduce bride price and cost of marrying your people
Allow other tribes to marry ur people without drama!
Be welcoming to other tribes
Have plenty children, there are more people in kano than in the entire east! Of cos the tribe with the highest number of people will be more popular and respected that's nature for you! In America there are more whites than blacks but because the blacks make efforts to be welcoming to the whites slowly things have improved that's why there must be a black man in every white movie( that's being recognised)
I love you guys ur girls are beautiful and ure all exceptionally brilliant in doing business( the whole country use that one beef una self)
Stop being misguided lets stop all this arrant nonsense and dramas and face the real problem
The problem isn't igbo, hausa, yoruba and all the other wonderful tribes!
The problem is those in power stealing and walking away!
Don't say hey see that yoruba thief he didn't steal yoruba money my brother
He stole OUR money!
Change isn't about what the government does for us!
Is about our mindset
For once think about yourself and not where you're from!
If ure not tired I am

And by the way, the song "Gangnam Style" was sang in what International Language?

Please Sir, you work for EFCC? If yes, tell us where the court order was issued and date it was gazette. You really know more than all of us.

Meanwhile, the courts will decide and the very recent case against Senator Nyako which Lere referred to is new and tells you how things should happen.

You may as well read Wole Olanipekun's position.

Regards,
I don't need to show you or tell you where the court. If Fayose want to go to court let him go and let the court decide.

and I have read Wole, he is wrong on this one.

All his postulations justifies EFCC acted legally when he knows well there was no court order. What stands on Nothing?
For the last time I affirm that there was a court order. What Lere wants is to engage EFCC in dirty media fights forcing them to release the orders to the world. But that is childish.

I know they have the right. The issue is, did they get the court order to freeze his account before or after the act?
And I agree, let him go to court. The truth will play itself out there.
The order was before the act. Its an ex parte order, meaning you get the order behind the defendant. This kind of order is allowed so the defendant is not informed so that he doesn't go to make fast withdrawals or transfer from the said accounts.
And YES EFCC has such orders. I haven't seen it because EFCC did not and doesn't have to publish it. If Fayose get mouth, let him go to court. Have you wondered why those talking are non lawyers? Where is Ekiti State Attorney General?
