16wks cramp aren't normal. See a doctor. Take lots of water, the uterus contracts whennever the body needs water. Relax and rest a lot too.

partly ondo and egba, but I learnt this soup from my grandma who is an egba indigene, how is Inioluwa doing, eku itoju.

We eat the soup too in Ondo state. The isapa tastes like meat in my mouth

Tiny rant
God has been faithful. So far it's been nausea and loss of appetite, no real morning sickness. But for two weeks now, nausea has stopped and I'm starting to eat little by little.

But at 16 weeks now, i have this constant hunger which no food can quench, I'm yet to be able to take fruits, i crave for all the foods in Nigeria and so don't get to eat much, and I'm having some little cramps at the moment which is keeping me awake in the middle of the night. My sabi Mamas, pls just tell me it's all normal

Been craving grapefruits recently, although i have only tasted it once my whole life. I couldn't help it today, so i got one and divided it into two. I plan on taking only half today.

Please mamas, what's your take on grapefruits at 15wks plus (scan)? Help a ftm!!!

How to prepare Ekpang Nkukwuo
 
Before you cook the Nigerian Ekpang Nkwukwo

Rinse and cook the beef, offals and dry fish with the seasoning till done.Peel, wash and grate the cocoyam and water yam (if you will be using this). Mix the two together and set aside.Prepare the pot by rubbing a generous amount of red palm oil on the insides of the pot.Rinse the tender cocoyam leaves and tear into medium pieces. If using pumpkin leaves, wash these and set aside.Blend the pepper and crayfish and set aside.Wash the shelled or unshelled periwinkles.Rinse and slice the scent leaves into tiny pieces.

Cooking directions for Nigerian Ekpang Nkwukwo

If you will be using unshelled periwinkles, place these at the base of the well-oiled pot.Scoop a small quantity of the grated cocoyam into a piece of the torn cocoyam leaf or one pumpkin leaf. Wrap the cocoyam with the leaf and place in the pot. Repeat this procedure till all the grated cocoyam (and water yam) is exhausted.Add the pepper, crayfish, onions, shelled periwinkles and assorted beef.Add hot water to the level of the pot contents and set to cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.Now, add the scent leaves, a generous amount of palm oil and salt to taste. Cook for more 5 minutes and the Ekpang Nkwukwo is done.Leave to stand for 5 minutes and stir.

That's how to cook the Nigerian Ekpang Nkwukwo.

Yeah...i heard that uziza (don't know if I'm correct) is not good during pregnancy. I'm sure it's not in the pepper soup I've been taking. I don't know of any other ingredients sha.

Its tetanus vaccine. u should be getting ur first tt injection right about this time i think. Ask them at the hospital soonest.

I'm still vexing for my hospital self, why will they gimme TT injection when I never register for antenatal. I've used ice block, applied diclofenac gel but is as if someone broke my bone

Pls which one is TT injection? I'm almost 16weeks gone and d only thing I've been given is calcium, ferrous and vit d. And d spacing btw my first antenatal and d second is almost 2months. It's like things are diff here in d middle east. Ftm

Hello all happy new Month Congratulations to all mamas that have given birth successfully we are next in line IJN.

Lemme Rant

No morning sickness in my pregnancy journey so far which i thank God for but my breast and tits itch me badly all day especially at night . I always feel bloated too cant even lie on my back comfortable is that not too early at 11weeks + .

Secondly, anytime i take something sweet like oranges, tangerine and soft drinks, that is when i do have nausea . The only thing i crave for that kills the nausea which i eat almost everyday now is hot eba prepared with yellow garri and Ogbono soup prepared with bitter leaf. I cook ogbono with uziza before but stopped when i heard its not safe in pregnancy. But bitterleaf and ogbono is bae. A big pot of ogbono soup with bitter leaf no longer last more than 2days in my house cos that is what i eat almost everyday morning and night i pity my dh . I hope i am safe in all this eating?

By the way, my catarrh have refused to leave me for close 3months now i am just managing it...

That ogbono story is same with me o...for the past 6 weeks, i eat only eba and ogbono. I throw up after taking fruits. So scared of malnutrition. Chai, i tot i was d only one o

Folic acid is the most essential part of ur prenatal drugs. Hope u took folic acid during ur first trimester
Please ask properly from the doctor or get second option please.
Have not been taking my fruits regularly too, I now rely on my prenatal drugs for essential vitamins I need in fruit.(PS: am not encouraging u not to take fruit, infact it is important).

please ask any question bothering u lots of mamas will reply u.

Everybody seems to say the same thing here. They say you stop folic acid at the end of first trimester and continue at the start of third trimester. I've checked another hospital, it's d same story. I think i saw something like that too on google. Let me call my doctor back home cos I've stopped it for like a week now to start the new ones. I don confuse sef

Aw... thanks for the love and concern. It shall end in testimony for us.

I'm 13weeks plus now. I've had a less severe ms, just nausea and loss of appetite. My concern however is that i cant eat nutritious foods without throwing up. So far I've been eating garri and draw soup, beans, bread/bournvita and sometimes water melon. Those are the foods i can digest. I've tried oranges, avocado, rice, vegetable soup and so on, i only end up throwing up. As for water, i can only take little amounts of nearly hot water. Those are my concerns

I'm currently in the middle east and my doc has asked me to stop folic acid to start Vit D, calcium and ferrous. That's my story o

PS: I'm a correct jjc o. My DH and I are totally clueless and I'm far away from family. Pls help the needy
